Arvin, who had now finished putting on his clothes, stepped out of the dining room and walked toward the living room to finish what was his responsibility tonight.
Upon arriving there, he sat quietly on one of the soft single sofas.
Arvin raised both his hands, focusing the flow of mana inside his body. Using his alchemy magic, he began making multiple sets of proper clothes with sizes that could adjust to the body size of the wearer after taking out all the rolls of fabric from his dimensional storage space.
While Arvin was busy in the living room, a much warmer and livelier atmosphere was felt in the kitchen and dining table area.
The savory and appetizing aroma of broth wafted through the air. At the dining table, Kaydan was sitting quietly, eating the dinner that had been recooked with full dedication by Allen, Alrain, Ordion, Alvein, and Alrian.
The warmth from the food seemed to restore the energy in his body that had been drained.
And in the kitchen area, an impromptu cooking class was taking place. Kylen, Dylan, Davin, and Victor, the four of them were attentively learning how to cut ingredients and observing the measurements of seasonings under the direct guidance of the five youths who had already been bound by the Life-and-Death Contract with their husband.
Allen, Alrain, Ordion, Alvein, and Alrian patiently taught them how to cook delicious home-cooked meals for their family in the future.
While the warmth of the family was intertwined downstairs, a silent atmosphere shrouded the fourth bedroom on the second floor.
On the bed, Calverd, who had previously fainted due to mental exhaustion, slowly began to move his eyelids. His eyelashes fluttered before his eyes finally opened completely.
The first thing he saw was the unfamiliar ceiling of the room. He looked around the dimly lit room in confusion.
The youth was surprised when his consciousness gathered again and he realized that he was currently lying comfortably on a soft bed.
"Why am I here?" he muttered in a hoarse voice.
His memory felt a bit fragmented. The last thing he remembered was the sensation of pain in his head when he saw Kaydan holding and playing with their husband's shaft in the bathroom, before everything turned black.
Slowly, Calverd sat up. He grimaced softly while holding his head, which still felt heavy and a bit dizzy after fainting earlier.
"Where is everyone?"
Driven by loneliness and confusion, Calverd lowered his feet to the floor. With his steps still a bit wobbly and not yet fully stable, he forced himself to walk out of the room to look for the whereabouts of his husband and the others.
Calverd walked down the quiet second-floor hallway, then continued walking down the stairs one by one. Faintly, he could hear the sound of soft chatter coming from the direction of the dining room. However, before he reached the room, his steps stopped in the living room.
His eyes caught the figure of Arvin sitting on the sofa. His husband looked very focused, surrounded by the glow of light from his alchemy magic, busy crafting and making many new pieces of clothing that were floating slowly in the air.
That highly peaceful magical sight made Calverd's chest feel a little lighter. He squeezed the edge of his pajama shirt, hesitating for a moment, before finally deciding to greet him.
"G-Good evening, Arvin." he greeted softly with a slightly trembling voice, breaking the silence of the night in the central hall. He stepped a little closer. "Where are Kaydan and the others? My stomach... is hungry."
Hearing the sound of footsteps and the greeting, Arvin, who had been busy concentrating on making clothes, immediately stopped his activity. The magic glow around him dimmed. He turned toward the source of the voice.
A smile full of relief was clearly displayed on his handsome face when he saw Calverd, who had regained consciousness and was standing in front of him.
"Good evening to you too, Calverd." Arvin greeted in a very gentle tone. He then raised his hand and pointed toward the hallway leading to the kitchen. "They are all gathered in the dining room and kitchen. Go there right away and eat immediately to replenish your lost energy."
Receiving such a soothing directive, the indigo-haired youth nodded in understanding. Then, he walked toward the dining room.
Upon arriving at the threshold of the dining room, Calverd's steps halted. His eyes widened in disbelief.
He was very surprised to see the condition of the room he was looking at right now. Previously, he clearly remembered that the dining room was in a chaotic state. But now, the room was neat and clean again, without a single scratch, as if no incident had ever occurred.
Amazing! he praised in awe in his heart, his eyes sparkling as he looked around. My husband is truly amazing! He was able to restore all the damage I caused a few moments ago back to normal in a short time.
Calverd's presence was immediately noticed by the others. The eleven youths in the dining room and also those busy in the kitchen turned their heads in unison. They all felt very relieved seeing that the twelfth had regained consciousness from his fainting.
"Are you feeling hungry, Calverd?" Allen asked, his voice sounding very friendly.
Receiving attention from so many people at once, the indigo-haired youth nodded slowly with his face slightly flushed from embarrassment.
"In that case, please sit down and eat first." Allen replied with a gentle smile, taking on the role of the first to nurture. "If you want to talk or ask something, do it after you finish eating your food later. An empty stomach is not good for your body."
Calverd nodded again, understanding the sincere care. He then walked slowly toward one of the empty chairs right next to Kaydan.
The gray-haired youth turned his head and gave him a small, comforting smile.
As soon as Calverd sat comfortably, Ordion, who had been near the soup pot, immediately stepped toward him. The red-haired youth placed a full bowl of potato soup and warm meat chunks right in front of him.
The thin wisp of steam carrying the aroma of spices immediately tickled his nose.
"Enjoy your meal, Calverd." Ordion said in a cheerful tone and a friendly smile after placing the soup bowl along with a spoon.
"Thank you." Calverd muttered softly.
He picked up the spoon in front of him with a slightly trembling hand. He scooped the brownish broth, blew on it slowly so it would not be too hot, and then sipped it.
A second later, the youth's eyes widened. The warm sensation and incredibly rich savory taste instantly exploded in his mouth. He was very surprised to taste the deliciousness of a soup broth he was experiencing for the first time in his life.
"The broth is very delicious!" Calverd praised honestly without realizing it, his eyes sparkling as he looked at the contents of his bowl. He then went back to enjoying his food ravenously, there was no more embarrassment.
Hearing the sincere praise that slipped spontaneously from Calverd's mouth, Allen, Alrain, Ordion, Alvein, and Alrian looked at each other. A satisfied smile was etched on the faces of the five youths who cooked the dish.
Seeing someone enjoy their cooking so heartily was a distinct happiness for them.
"Please enjoy your food leisurely, Calverd..." Alrian said affectionately from the kitchen, looking at their new family member with a warm gaze.
Calverd only nodded in agreement because his mouth was full, and he continued his dinner feeling much calmer.
....
A few moments later, after Kaydan and Calverd had finished their food down to the last drop of broth, the sound of footsteps was heard approaching.
Arvin walked into the dining room with confident steps. In both his hands, he carried many magic bags that he had just finished making.
"These are magic bags for all of you who do not have one yet, to make it easier for you to carry your belongings!" Arvin said as he placed all the magic bags on the dining table, which now had no leftover food. "Then, for Victor, Kaydan, and Calverd's clothing sets, I have placed them all neatly on the sofa in the living room. You can take them later."
