Chapter 49 - A New Home And The Green-Haired Boy

Deftly, Yonna began processing the sale and purchase documents and the transfer of the house title.

"Alright, Young Master. For the certificate, whose name should I write as the owner of this house?" asked Yonna while holding a quill pen.

"Write it in the name of Allen Vedegra!" answered Arvin steadily while pointing at Allen.

Allen immediately stared at Arvin with an expression of extreme shock. His eyes widened in disbelief at what he had just heard.

"What did you say?" exclaimed Allen. "Did I hear that right?"

"No, you didn't hear it wrong!" Arvin smiled casually. "The ownership right of this house is yours! It's my gift to you."

Allen's face turned serious. He shook his head firmly.

"No, I can't!" rejected Allen harshly. "Everywhere, the head of the household is the owner of family assets! You are the husband, you are the head of the family. Use your name, Arvin!"

"But I want to give it to you..."

"No!" interrupted Allen, then he narrowed his eyes, delivering an ultimatum. "Use your name or I will stop smiling at you forever!"

Gulp!

That was a fatal threat for Arvin. The threat made Arvin freeze instantly. His biggest fear was seeing Allen's face gloomy or cold towards him.

"A-Alright! Alright! Don't be angry anymore!" Arvin raised both hands in surrender. He turned to Yonna. "Yonna, please use my name! Arvin Vedegra!"

Yonna smiled amusedly watching the interaction. She finally realized that Arvin was truly weak when it came to his spouse and only wanted to see the smile his loved one always showed.

Ah... if only I had a husband like Young Master Arvin, I would definitely feel like the luckiest woman in this world. mused Yonna while writing Arvin's name on the certificate. Just by seeing this man named Allen, I already know. Young Master Arvin really spoils him like a queen, but this man named Allen also knows how to respect his husband.

After the house was paid in full and the documents were completed, Yonna closed the counter briefly to accompany them to the location of the purchased house.

The journey using a rented horse carriage did not take long. Upon arrival, they were greeted by a stunning building.

The house was surrounded by a sturdy yet beautiful stone wall, with an artistic wrought-iron gate. The house had a bright sea-blue tiled roof, contrasting with its clean white exterior walls. The yard was quite spacious, covered with well-maintained green grass.

"Wow..."

Allen looked very satisfied as he gazed at the exterior of his house. His eyes sparkled.

Then, Yonna unlocked the main door, and they entered the house to see the entire interior.

The interior of the house felt spacious due to its high ceilings. Inside the house, there was a grand living room, a warm family room with a fireplace, a dining room connected to a large window, and most importantly for Arvin, a spacious kitchen.

There were also a spacious bathroom, four main bedrooms, a special room for laundry, and a back terrace facing a small garden, perfectly suited for relaxing while drinking tea in the afternoon.

Arvin and Allen walked around enthusiastically. They were very satisfied with everything they saw inside the house they had just bought.

However, as the sound of their footsteps echoed in the empty rooms, Arvin realized one thing.

"Allen," called Arvin while sweeping his gaze around, "this house is very big and a bit dusty. It seems we will both be busy cleaning all the rooms here before it can be occupied. Are you willing to help me?"

Allen patted his chest proudly. "What are you talking about? Of course I will help you! Right now we are no longer strangers, but a married couple! Cleaning our own house is our first duty as married couple."

Arvin smiled. "You truly are the best spouse! But before we clean, we must buy furniture first! We need mattresses, cupboards, tables, chairs..."

"D-Don't forget the cooking utensils too!" interrupted Allen enthusiastically, his eyes fiery when talking about the kitchen. "Pots, pans, knives, everything must be bought!"

"Of course!" Arvin ruffled Allen's hair affectionately. "I also can't wait to enjoy all your cooking in this new kitchen!"

In the corner of the room, Yonna looked at them with a small smile, but there was a slight sting in her heart. She felt very envious of their happiness which was so simple yet strong. In her mind, she prayed and hoped to get a husband like Arvin in the future.

"Here is the key, Young Master Arvin." said Yonna, handing over the key and the house and land certificates to Arvin. "Congratulations on occupying your new home."

"Thank you, Yonna." answered Arvin.

After her task was done, Yonna excused herself to return to the Merchant Guild. Meanwhile, for Arvin and Allen, their adventure was not over. They left the new house for a moment to hunt for furniture in the capital market.

While walking on the increasingly crowded capital streets, Arvin and Allen chatted casually. Their hands touched occasionally, and crisp laughter was often heard between them, making passersby smile seeing the intimacy.

They discussed curtain colors, types of wood for the dining table, to the shapes of plates to be bought.

And then, as they turned at a fairly crowded intersection...

Thud!

Someone bumped into Arvin's body quite hard.

"Ouch!" whimpered a small voice down there.

A teenage boy fell onto the street while holding his head which probably hit Arvin's body.

Deftly, Arvin crouched down. He reached out his hand towards the teenager, his face showing genuine concern.

"Are you okay?" asked Arvin gently.

The boy slowly tilted his head up. He wanted to take the hand in front of him to help him stand up.

However, his hand movement stopped in the air. The boy's eyes widened, stunned as he looked at Arvin's handsome face looking so worried about him from close range. The sunlight shining on Arvin's blue hair made him look like a prince from a fairy tale.

"Wow! Your face is so handsome!" praised the teenage boy with light green hair spontaneously with sparkling eyes, then shyly took Arvin's outstretched hand.

Arvin laughed crisply hearing that innocence while pulling the boy up to stand. "Hahaha. Thank you for your compliment! But why did you praise my face instead of answering my question about your condition?"

The teenage boy grinned widely, showing his neat row of teeth. "Because you're handsome. Hehehe."
