Chapter 556 - Chapter 556 You've Been Captured

No one cared about his identity as a Superhero.

At this moment, in the eyes of the people, Peter Parker was just an underage boy standing in front of the cosmic butcher's knife for them.

They felt heartbroken that he was bearing a weight that someone his age should never have to bear.

But on the preparation platform, the real experts noticed something.

Tony's tightly furrowed brows gradually relaxed.

"This kid... he's got something."

"What do you mean, Stark?" Thor asked, confused. "Peter has been taking a beating the whole time. He hasn't even had a chance to fight back. That Titan's physique is far stronger than Peter's."

"Look closer, Point Break." Tony pulled up Peter's evasion route map, and the holographic projection magnified in mid-air.

"Peter isn't running away blindly. With every evasive maneuver, the unnecessary movement is decreasing."

Steve also saw what was happening and nodded in appreciation: "He is adapting to Starfox's speed and strength, dragging the enemy into his own rhythm."

"Don't worry." Homelander turned to the group and said, "He is one of the best students at Vought Vanguard Academy. He knows what he is doing. All we have to do is trust him."

Meanwhile, in the arena, the battle was quietly shifting.

Just as Tony had said, Peter had completely gotten into the zone.

"Hey, buddy, your aim is terrible!"

"Do you need me to refer you to the best ophthalmologist in New York? Vought-affiliated hospitals offer a 20% discount!"

Peter was hanging upside down in the gap between two buildings, shouting at Eros in mid-air.

Eros's expression changed slightly.

He had been chasing him for nearly twenty minutes. Although the Titans had abundant stamina, these fruitless attacks made him feel a hint of irritation.

What irritated him most was that the other party's mouth had not stopped for a single second.

"You are like a noisy fly, Peter." Eros responded coldly and dove down again.

"A fly? Come on, I'm a Spider! Spiders eat flies!"

Peter released his web and went into freefall.

During the fall, he fired webs continuously with both hands, not at Eros, but silently towards the surrounding building structures.

Then, he dove headfirst into the densest part of the wasteland residential area.

The surrounding narrow streets, intricate alleys, and densely packed apartment buildings formed a concrete jungle.

Eros followed closely behind.

But once he entered this area, his flight advantage was greatly diminished.

The narrow space limited his speed, and he had to constantly be careful to avoid the crisscrossing steel beams and collapsed walls.

"Peter, come out." Eros hovered in a dark alley, looking around.

The surroundings were deathly silent, with only the sound of the wind wailing through the ruins.

"I'm above you!"

Peter's voice suddenly came from above.

Eros looked up abruptly and threw a heavy punch upwards.

Bang!

The ceiling was shattered, but there was only a rock tied with a web there.

"Oops, missed. Where are you looking?"

The voice came from the left again.

Eros turned around, and a huge, rusty iron sign flew towards his face.

He swatted it away with one palm.

"Where are you? Get out here!" Eros observed his surroundings vigilantly.

This state of the enemy being hidden while he was exposed made him feel extremely stifled.

He possessed the power to shatter gold and split stones, yet he had nowhere to unleash it; it was like punching cotton.

While Peter was a hunter hiding in the shadows.

Relying on his heaven-defying Spider-Sense, Eros's position was as dazzling as a searchlight in the night to him.

The audience finally understood: Spider-Man was playing hide-and-seek!

"Well done, kid! Run him in circles!"

"Let him see the street smarts of a New Yorker!"

Peter not only utilized his home-field advantage to the fullest.

That big mouth of his also didn't stop for a second.

"Seriously, what brand of hair gel do you use? After such intense exercise, your hairstyle isn't messed up at all?"

"You know, my Aunt May makes delicious apple pie. If you surrender now, I can treat you to a slice when I get back. But you have to pay for your own plane ticket."

The incessant trash talk came from all directions.

Eros could finally no longer maintain his elegance, and a hint of anger flashed in his eyes.

"Enough!"

Eros shouted, clenched his fists, and attacked the surrounding buildings indiscriminately.

Boom, boom, boom!

The buildings on both sides of the entire alley were collapsed by him, attempting to force Peter out with this crude method.

In the thick dust, Eros's high-end red and white suit was already covered in dust, looking a bit disheveled.

"You're angry, Mr. Eros. Getting angry doesn't fit your elegant playboy persona."

Without hesitation, Eros charged over with a Superman-style flying punch, slamming into the source of the voice.

This time, he didn't miss.

His fist pierced through the smoke and struck a solid object.

But it wasn't Peter's body; it was a giant net woven from hundreds of high-strength spider silk threads.

"What?" Eros was stunned.

His fist was buried deep in the web, and all his strength was dissipated by this highly elastic and tough material.

He wanted to pull his arm out, but found that the spider silk had already firmly wrapped around his wrist.

"You have been captured by a Spider."

Peter descended from the sky and landed lightly on top of the web.

This was exactly Peter's true purpose for hiding and dodging earlier.

He used verbal provocation and misdirection to lead Eros into losing control of his emotions, gradually luring him into this trap.

This method of emotional control was something he had learned from Eros himself, only used in reverse.

"You think a few broken webs can trap me?" Eros sneered and ripped at the web with his arm.

Rip!

The spider silk began to gradually break under his monstrous strength.

"Of course that's not enough, so I prepared a deluxe package with extra quantity for no extra price!"

Peter fired with both hands, his web-shooters operating at full power.

Swoosh, swoosh, swoosh, swoosh!

Dense spider silk poured down like a rainstorm.

The spider silk wrapped Eros layer by layer.

Eros struggled fiercely, his fists pulling constantly, attempting to tear through this layer of restraint.

Peter didn't give him a chance to breathe.

"Alright, Peter," Peter said to himself in his mind, "time for physics class."

He jumped rapidly between the surrounding pillars and beams, firmly anchoring both ends of the spider silk.

With every jump, he pulled the web tighter.

Creak—!

The web contracted instantly, and the immense tension pulled Eros into mid-air, pinning his limbs completely and leaving him in a spread-eagled position.

Eros struggled with all his might, his muscles bulging.

But this web utilized the mechanical structure of the surrounding load-bearing columns, dispersing all of his resistance force onto the foundation of the entire building.

Unless he could lift this building with his own strength alone, he would absolutely never be able to break free.

People on Earth hugged and cheered, raising their glasses in celebration.

"We won! We won!"

"Spider-Man! Spider-Man! Spider-Man!"

"This kid is a tactical genius!"

Tony let out a long sigh of relief, a proud smile appearing on his face.

Homelander also nodded in approval: "He is very talented."

"A talent for harvesting popularity," he added silently in his heart.

In the arena.

Peter descended lightly from the ceiling, hanging upside down from a web, stopping right in front of Eros's face.

The white lenses on his mask narrowed into small slits, clearly looking extremely smug.
