Chapter 38 - A medical Uchiha cap 38

Having already closed the most important wound, Natsuo began to heal his shattered leg.

Since he had already taken care of coagulating the blood in the area, he had time.

Of course, since there was no rest of the leg left to reattach, he had to close the wound on a stump.

"It's all I can do"

"For now, he will rest for the next few days," Natsuo said.

"Thank you," said the Akimichi clan ninja as he looked at his friend on the stretcher with a pained expression.

With his leg shattered, his friend will have to return to the village and stop being an active ninja.

"How is the front line currently doing?"

Seeing that the other patients were being attended to by other doctors, Natsuo took the opportunity to ask the Akimichi clan ninja about the ongoing war.

"Well..." the Akimichi clan ninja sighed and sat down in a chair after standing the whole time and began to speak.

While writing a report, Natsuo listened attentively and confirmed what he already knew.

Currently the war zone in the land of grass was at a standstill.

Led by the Ino-Shika-Cho families, the Leaf Village army in the Land of Grass faced off against the Stone Village ninjas.

The war has not yet reached the point where the armies of both villages clash head-on, so for now they are fighting in small groups and carrying out ambushes. Squads transporting supplies are the preferred targets of both sides.

With the Nara clan leader as commander-in-chief, the Leaf Village has been able to successfully repel the Stone Village ninjas, but it is still difficult to face the Stone Village's explosion corps who mostly use the earth element to hide and leave explosive traps.

The good thing is that the explosion body is not many and they escape when their attacks are not successful, and only Gari has proven to be able to fight with the explosion element in his fists.

Of course, they prefer to fight against the explosion body compared to the Tsuchikage.

When at the beginning of the war it became clear that the Leaf had the advantage in the Land of Grass, the Tsuchikage arrived at the front line to support his army.

So far, everyone who was in the camp at the start of the war remembers the Tsuchikage's powerful Earth Ninjutsu.

From great earth spears and earthquakes that destroyed and swallowed the poor unfortunate souls who could not escape, to rock giants who faced the leader of the Akimichi clan.

It was fortunate that the spies in the village of Earth knew of the Tsuchikage's departure and sent the information back to the village of Leaf.

During that battle, the Hokage arrived and confronted the Tsuchikage.

For almost everyone, it was the first time they had seen the Hokage act in battle, and they were shocked by the destruction of the battlefield.

The Third Hokage's ability to use jutsus of all the elements of the village was already known, so he earned the title of 'the professor'.

What forced everyone to change the way they viewed the Third Hokage was the destruction caused by his combined jutsus.

The Tsuchikage's ability to cause earthquakes and use the earth to attack was nullified by the Hokage by turning the earth of the battlefield into mud.

With the Tsuchikage's ability, he was able to continue using the damp earth to attack, but it would take time, and that time was used by the Hokage to continue attacking.

The Tsuchikage could only move to another area to have less difficulty using his earth jutsus, but the Hokage always responded with lightning jutsus.

In the end, the Tsuchikage could only retreat since he could not afford to spend large amounts of chakra creating large earth structures because the Hokage could destroy them with a combined jutsu or sink them by turning the ground into mud.

Although the Hokage returned to the village, the Third Hokage's strength amazed everyone and boosted the army's morale.

Of course, they no longer needed the Third Hokage because the Tsuchikage had retired.

The Tsuchikage could not stay long on the battlefield since his presence was known and he had to return to support the other battle zones.

Like the land of rain.

Hanzo's strength became known when he faced the 3 Kages of the 3 great villages and reached a draw.

The Third Kazekage, the Third Hokage, and the Third Tsuchikage had all faced Hanzo and were unable to defeat him.

Of course, Hanzo had the advantage in the land of rain because of his ability to use the rains along with his poison to poison the battlefield and drive off the invaders.

If the Kages wanted to face Hanzo, they would have to do so without any support, and that was dangerous.

Hanzo was strong, and none of them were confident they could defeat him without getting hurt themselves.

If they were wounded in the land of rain without support from their armies, they would be easily eliminated by the rain ninjas or anyone hiding nearby.

After fighting Hanzo for several rounds, they had to retreat and position their armies just outside the land of rain to prevent any invasion by Hanzo himself.

Of course, they quickly realized that the Rain Village only had Hanzo as a powerhouse.

Sure, the Village Hidden in the Rain had powerful Jounin, but Hanzo was the only one the larger villages took seriously.

With that information, the three villages reached a tacit agreement to attack the Land of Rain whenever Hanzo appeared on other battlefields. This way, Hanzo would be forced to retreat to support the other battlefields, and his own ninjas would be less endangered by his poisons.

For now, a year and a half after the start of the war, the conflict has reached a stalemate.

Of course, this did not mean that the war was about to end.

Only a year and a half has passed, and the small conflicts are just a break for the large villages to gather resources and continue fighting.

At this impasse, the land of rain suffered the most, as they were running out of resources and their villages and cities were being attacked.

Since the Village Hidden in the Rain did not have enough ninjas and Hanzo could not be everywhere, they could only receive the damage.

This is when you notice the difference between a large village and a small village.

Rainforests cannot sustain a war for very long compared to large countries.

Next was the Sand Village, who sought to steal resources from other countries during the war.

Since the Third Kazekage had to face Onoki or Hanzo from time to time, the land of rivers can only be left to Chiyo.

With Hatake Sakumo in the land of rivers, the Sand Village could not advance on that front.

The only thing the sand ninjas could do was infiltrate other countries and try to steal as many resources as they could.

The ninja from the Akimichi clan said goodbye, and Natsuo was able to sit down and rest since no more wounded had arrived during all this time.

As it was already getting dark, it was likely that there would be no more casualties unless there was a night attack.

As he sat down to rest for a while, he thought about what he had learned so far.

Hanzo remains in the land of rain and cannot attack with all his might without the land of rain being invaded on other fronts.

With this, Natsuo can guess that during this war Hanzo will concentrate on defending his territory and it will be the large villages that will fight with more strength.

Since he was in the grassy area, he had to be careful of any attacks from Onoki.

'Has Onoki already developed his particle release?' Natsuo wondered.

Until now, Natsuo hadn't heard about Onoki using the particle element on the battlefield and wondered when he would use it.

If he hasn't developed it yet, he will in the coming years. But if he already has, Onoki must be preparing to inflict as much damage as possible on his enemies.

Thinking about being hit by a particle release attack, Natsuo's scalp prickled.

Just one slip-up was all it took for Onoki's attack to catch you and you're finished.

Of course, Natsuo relied on his speed to escape.
