Chapter 15 - The Truth between Friends

Angel remembered when she first came to the school three years ago. She had been a very quiet girl, and people often complained about how silent she was.

One day, during the morning assembly, Sarah and Anna took out a pen, stood behind Angel, and kept poking her with it until the assembly was over. When they returned to the classroom, they continued bullying her by beating her.

Angel became so furious that she gave Sarah a big hard slap. She looked at both of them and warned them that if they ever touched her again or tried to bully her in such a way, she would not hold back the next time.

From that day on, Sarah and Anna stopped trying to force Angel out of her quiet nature. Instead, they began getting closer to her and made an effort to get to know her better.

Present

Angel stood up and announced that she was going home. After overhearing the conversation about Sarah and Daniel, she no longer felt comfortable staying around them.

When she got home, she washed up, had something to eat, and spent the rest of the afternoon watching movies. As evening approached, she had dinner before going to bed.

The following morning, Angel woke up as early as 5:00 a.m. to get ready for school. She had already decided that she would pretend she knew nothing about Sarah and Daniel's relationship, acting as though she had never overheard their conversation.

At about 7:30 a.m., Angel arrived at school and found Peace already in the classroom. She trusted Peace deeply because Peace was unlike any other girl in their class. She was bold, intelligent, and preferred the company of witty people. Angel had always wanted to be friends with her, but at the same time, she often found herself holding back.

Unable to keep what she had overheard to herself, Angel told Peace everything she had heard about Sarah and Daniel.

Peace listened attentively before sharing her thoughts on the matter. After they had finished talking, both girls let out a quiet sigh as the rest of their classmates gradually began arriving in the classroom.
