Soul Tablet write a picture of the words that are of one's soul. It translates them but sometimes that translation isn't always right. So sometimes some attributes of humans can do much more than what stats says.
There are other limitations to this device as there is no potable version. Like a watch or a something that is wearable. The Device is complicated so that type of advancement hasn't been made.
The soul tablet was also an invention of Elves. They don't need these devices much so not much progress is made on them. Human scientists are trying to make something that is easy to use but no progress has been made.
Steel doesn't really have to worry about that though. Even if they come up a new model of this device. It would take years for it to be available to the public. Not to mention, it would be expensive.
So until then, Steel don't mind carrying a little heavy and bulky device to check his stats.
Now time to look at his stats.
What stats? Soul stats. But demon don't really have stats like humans. They lack few paths and have a different set of stats.
At first, Steel had thought that it would work as he is a demon. But to his surprise, it actually worked.
He has no idea how or why. Demon blood is much different and flawed so it doesn't really make sense. But nobody probably has even checked the stats of a demon on this device who knows what would happen if a demon were to drop some blood on it.
Steel would've been really mad if his purchase was a waste. This device couldn't even be returned cause of no return policy.

Steel doesn't understand why it always shows that he doesn't have a name. He has a name and that is Steel.
'this think is either broken or my luck is just trash…'
It is said that a Name is a something that is given by someone else. He named himself 'Steel' so that could be the reason why he doesn't have a name of his own.
The question mark probably mean demon name or something. It is convenient that it hides that he is a demon. He still won't show this to anyone.
He lacks a demon name but that doesn't bother him much. He might gain it some other day or never. Does it even matter? It probably does.

Steel always hated looking at his Path. He is pretty sure that Humans have two paths or something.
He wouldn't mind having less options. But his only path is so lame and useless. The attributes has saved his life a lot of times but he wishes he had something that had made him stronger. Instead it just makes him easy to forget.
He also doesn't understand what is [Unknown] attribute. He isn't aware if it ever doing anything. He is a creature of Unknown. Does it mean that he is a demon and that's why he is that way? It is possible but he isn't sure.
Now towards the main point, his inventory. Demon inventory is the name cause it is needed to remind him that he is a demon.

This is the item that he had gotten in the past after scavenging a dead carcass of a devil spawn.
It isn't the most useful. But had its uses. Like the definition of dead creatures is really broad. He can store food items that has meat or ingredients that are acquired from creatures.
He also stored that useless devil slug in this bag as well. Otherwise, he wouldn't have been able to store and carry so much of that dead devil slug. Steel wanted to make use of its every part and he did. He still some useless tool that he made from devil slug's bones.
There is no use for them. But he still like carrying them as his trophies.

Description: [Words are not important to deliver the final strike. Words are not even needed to kill a creature. When the time comes one must know when to speak and when not to.
A short sword at hand, a creature wonders what is the purpose of itself. The world through its eyes is red as blood. Every other creature think of this creature as a dead. However, only it knows that it isn't dead. At least, it isn't dead for now.
It is weak and fragile but it has a desire. That desire is to take its revenge. A simple revenge of making one experience the same pain as itself. It is possible with a backstab. Its is fortunate enough as it has that opportunity. So it backstab the creature and complete its revenge.
However, there were no words said or even thought of in the dying creature's mind. It will died soon as well.]

The description of the item is simple and obvious. This short sword was a weapon of someone who was about to die but took its revenge on the creature who put it in that state.
However, Steel do wonder why did it say that the creature had no words for the creature who hurt it so bad. If it were Steel, he would have plenty of crap to say to the thing. But perhaps, it stated quiet to not alert anyone around it.
He is a coward. So he knows the value of being quiet and striking when there is chance to kill.
It is also interesting that this weapon is made by a Beast. In other words, a hybrid. A person who is half one species and half another. He wonder what kind of creature that would be who made this. Was it an assassin?
Now on the enchantments.
First enchantment will make his attack silent and the second one is always good to have. But the third one could help him sneak behind his opponent without any sound. That sure will make his attacks lethal. The best attack is an attack that is never seen coming.
The last enchantment is the one that makes him quite happy. It is because that enchantment let how summon his weapon instantly.
A weapon needs a path to be summoned. The path of most weapon is usually through the chest of a creature. But with this enchantment, he can summon it directly into his hands instantly. This sure is a good weapon.
He wishes he had more things in his inventory. He had gotten few more in the past but they broke during combat and other that were useless were sold in the market.
There are two more stats that are left to look at.
Second last is his goal. But demons don't have goals cause they can't improve. So it just says ????.

It says the same that he hates and fears so much. Be nothing or lose himself in a state of nothing.
He would never do what he is told. So why would he ever listen to his own natural order. He is a defiant one.
Now to the last, Curses and blessings.
He has no blessings but he has a curse. Yes, he is talking about the curse of the Mother.

Curses: [Mother's will] Description: [You are Mother child. A part of her is still with you. She still exists within you.]
He sighs.
It is so annoying that it doesn't say that this curse is like hell. It has its own will that lives within him and it is plotting something. He knows that all demons have this curse. Except for River, as her body isn't capable of carrying any curses or blessings.
Such a pain. He wishes that he was like River. It isn't fair that she is free form the whispers of that damned God.
Steel lays down on the floor and about to turn off the tablet. But he notices something else. Another curse.
"WHAT.."
[Spite's spite] Description: [Uncommon events will have more chance of happening]
Steel jolts up straight up. He couldn't believe it. Why does he have another curse? it wasn't there before. He is sure of it.
And who is Spite?
Steel stares at River's body that is still at that same position. He jumps to her and grab her by the shoulder and says out loud.
"Were you cursed by someone? When? How? Who?"
River didn't answer. It is cause she couldn't hear it. He needs to say it in his mind for her to hear. Steel was so shocked that he forgot about that. So he repeated in his mind and so she said.
[I don't know. My body can't hold curses or blessings…]
That's what he said. How could she have a curse? There are curses that can spread but for that to happen. The curse needed to be active.
River continues her sentence.
[…But my body can carry them if someone has curse me or blessed me. But these carried curses or blessing won't affect me.]
Steel just stares her creepy face until his arms are tired. Then he stops holding her and she falls backwards again. Same happens to Steel. He looks so tired and cursing in his mind.
