As they stared at each other. Gabriel and Charles were standing about a dozen steps away from each other. Suddenly they charged at each other. "This is going to be fun." Charles said. Jackal blade met Yamato blade. Gabriel was forced to duct under shot from Ivory. Gabriel went for a kick. "Why aren't you using Chaos Energy and Starlight?" I asked the two.
"This is to get used to our weapons." Charles answered. As he jumped back to gain some distance. Firing six shots. Gabriel was able to dodge.
"Yeah why would we use Starlight or Chaos Energy when we are doing a light spare to wake us up." Gabriel said with a smile. Thump! That sound where was it coming from?
"It is also a great way to wake up in the morning." Charles said as this time Ivory and Yamato blade clashed sparks flying off the blades. Gabriel jumped back to dodge a shot from Jackal.
"I could not agree more." Gabriel retorted. As he charges at Charles. Charles dodges the slash. Gabriel blocks the stabbing motion from Charles.
"So close." Charles said. As Gabriel knocks Jackal up into the air. Gabriel kicked Charles in the gut. Charles seems to move a little bit back. Gabriel dodge from Ivory Bala.
"You're getting closer." Gabriel said with a friendly smile on his face. Charles charged. A stab from Jackal was blocked.
"Yeah I am." Charles also said with a friendly smile on his face he kinda looked cool. Gabriel deflected Jackal and went for a quick slash. Charles crouches to dodge the decapitating slash.
"So what are your plans when we get out of here?" Gabriel questioned.
"Well to destroy the House of Evolution." Charles said as he ducts under Yamato slash.
"What is the first step?" Gabriel asked.
"Well we hope the building I ask for will be done." Charles spoke as if he was talking about the weather. Gabriel looked shocked.
"A building?" Gabriel questioned.
"Yeah why?" Charles spoke and he looked very confused.
"How rich are you?" Gabriel asked.
"What do you mean?" Charles said. His head tilted. I forgot he usually keeps it low key and hides it.
"Okay I will figure you're exhausted from this ice wonderland." Gabriel spoke.
"Yeah…" Charles said slowly. As Charles goes for a quick jab using Jackal blade.
"This is fun." Gabriel said. Their blades clashed once again sparks flew.
"Yeah it is." Charles spoke. Both took a step back. Both of them were battle maniacs.
"I bet on Gabriel." Neko said beside me.
"Where were you on the attack of Wolf Den?" I questioned.
"Gabriel left me behind." Neko said her two tails were swinging behind her.
"Of course he did." I said.
"What does that mean?" Neko asked a pointed question. As I shrugged.
"You're useless." I said.
"You're surely not talking to me about being useless." Neko countered.
"Shut up cat I bet Charles will win." I spoke my voice of confidence.
"Bet on." Neko said. Charles was managing to get Gabriel back. Both of them seemed to get so much stronger. After their Ichor bath. Gabriel Chaos Energy that seemed like a bottomless well it reminded me of a Great Wyvern. Charles was able to knock Gabriel on his back by using a knee to the stomach.
"Damn looks like Charles won." I said with a smile. But Charles jumps back to dodge a jab from Yamato. Charles had a huge smile on his face.
"Looks like you're wrong." Neko taunted. Ivory and Yamato blades clashed. Sparks flying off him. Charles lines up a shot from Jackal and Gabriel barely dodges the Bala. Few of his hairs fall to the ground.
"Close I can taste it." Charles said. As Gabriel disengaged and stabbed Yamato to cut Charles as it cut his cheek blood dripped down his cheek.
"Close you say?" Gabriel spoke. As blood dripped from his blade. Charles wiped away the blood showing it had healed. Licking the blood off his thumb. Thump! Thump! Charles grabs his head in pain.
"Aaargghh. It hurts." Charles complained. His eyes glazed over.
"You okay." Gabriel asked. His face morphed into worry. Charles then smiles.
"Don't worry about me." Charles said with a smile. As he holds up Jackal pointing at Gabriel both of them smiled. Stomping could be heard. It was Duke missing his left arm and part of his torso.
"Looks like you're up." Gabriel said. Duke sat down leaning back. Wait his feet were now human.
"You look more human." I said he looked more like a Demi human than a Chaos Beast. His horns still were proudly on his head.
"Thank you since my Nexus was destroyed, it seems as if I look more human." Duke said proudly he was half naked he had his chest out showing off his wound and the scar that looked like a five pointed flower. Located on his chest.
"How the hell are you alive?" I asked.
"Chaos Beasts are quite resilient." Duke answered with a small smile on his lips. He was right some of the most resilient beings in Chaos can last with wounds Vampires, Demon, the unnatural Devils, Werewolves and the strongest and oldest of all Dragons ruler of Chaos. It said that all lineage of Chaos can be traced back to the Dragons. The oldest and strongest being Elder Dragons under them Dragon God followed by Dragon Generals. Than the regular Greater Dragons. Lux and Umbra were constantly fighting to find out who was stronger. Both surpassed Sebastian in strength. So much-
"Looks like a tie." Gabriel said with a small smile.
"Yup!" Charles spoke happily as he put Jackal and Ivory into his holster.
"Damn it, who wins?" Neko asked.
"No one." Duke said, picking himself up. As he walks off to the forest. He was not limping but standing proud. He may have lost his arm but not his pride. Such a bright future but it was cut off by damage done to protect Charles.
