Chapter 56- You Can't Save Everyone
"Don't worry about it. It's not a problem. I'm not struggling or anything." Fiona said as she took a sip from her tea. "Focus on your progress since that's what's important now."
For some reason, Fiona felt slightly nervous looking into Elio's eyes. The boy was staring at her silently as if he was trying to peer through her, and while she didn't hate that stare, she still felt like she would be exposed if he stared at her a bit longer.
"..." However, the boy didn't listen and kept staring at her.
'Why is he still staring?' She pursed her lips. This was the very first time she had met with such a weird situation. Nobody dared to look at her for such a long time. Yet, of all people to do it, it was Elio, the shy boy who can't keep eye contact for long periods of time in the first place.
She was so confused.
"Hm, I can tell… You know?" He finally spoke in a quiet tone, his face calm and emotionless.
