Jacob felt his legs tremble. It was impossible. David had disappeared years ago during a
failed mission in Syria. Everyone had believed him dead.
But there he was: alive… and transformed into the bearer of the seals.
"David…" Jacob murmured. "What did they do to you?"
"Nothing I didn't ask for myself," David replied with unsettling calm. "When the world
abandoned me in that tomb, they found me."
"They?" Sara asked.
David tilted his head.
"Those who have guarded the prophecy long before you existed. Those who know that
the Apocalypse is not the end… but the restart."
The air trembled again.
The fifth seal burned, its edges consumed by an invisible fire.
"Come back with me," Jacob insisted. "You can still stop this."
David smiled.
"You were always the strong one, Jacob… I only found my purpose."
And he vanished among the columns, as if swallowed by the shadows.
Sara touched Jacob's arm.
"That's not the same David. Something… is possessing him."
Jacob closed his eyes. The hunt had completely changed.
It was no longer an ordinary killer.
It was his brother… and the chosen one of forces that did not belong to this world.
