While one of them vanished before their eyes just yesterday, they couldn't hesitate any longer. They took out the syringes they hid in the most secluded parts of their bodies and stuck them into their exposed skin while retreating.
"Watch out! Switch to defense formation, now!"
Not long ago, just a moment ago, the three great generals whose most effective physical attributes were suppressed by magic took control as soon as veins twisting like worms appeared on their bodies. Eight druids fighting in two groups of four united, and the second leader, the Dark Energy user, joined them as well.
"Aren't you joining the others too? Or are you arrogant enough to think of fighting me alone? Or should I have said stupid?"
Two bulges began to appear on General Eye's back as he finished his words. Everywhere else of his was the same, but two wings overflowing from the gaps of his armor opened, allowing the man to rise a few steps from the ground.
Each of the golden wings was as tall as the general, and the man continuing to rise rapidly stopped only when he remained as a mere speck. When he looked down, the person in his target was also a speck for him, but thanks to his golden eyes, he could comfortably see Alator's movements.
General Eye extended his two arms forward; his wings united and formed a golden-colored spearhead. Then he went into a dive with such speed that in the duration of a blink, he was an arm's length away from Alator.
It couldn't be that the leader of the Elemental Ten wasn't expecting this, but it was obvious he made some mistakes regarding speed. If it weren't for the green wind energy appearing around his body, it was a piece of cake for him to be cloven in two.
Alator, tossed to the left, swung his staff before even landing on the ground, and water particles resembling glass shards rained down upon General Eye. The golden wings acting as a piercer just a moment ago were now covering the man's body and serving as a shield.
At the same times, the other struggle on the front was continuing at full speed too. The nine-person druid group was striving to deal with two great generals who were beside themselves. The edges of General Hair's long hair, reminiscent of whips, had taken on a serrated structure like on saws, and General Tongue's poison had changed both color and texture.
The protection skills of the Water Element were experiencing hard times in the face of the hair moving back and forth at high speed. The Earth Element users wanted to support their other friends in this struggle, but this wasn't possible.
While purple-colored liquids fell upon them in drops, they constantly had to transfer their energies to renew the protective earth walls. While the Fire Element users added sturdiness to the defense structures made using earth, the Wind element was only ensuring Alator stayed alive.
"Don't dally! Finish the enemy off immediately!"
General Eye was one of the three great generals too, but his current tone of voice sounded as if he had transitioned to the position of the leader of the others. After using their medicines, their physical capacities had pushed to their limits, but they knew this process wouldn't last forever.
"Let's use our weapons. Let's tear those loser Druids apart!"
General Hair shouted; her hair united to form a hundred whips, and piercing metal tips appeared at the ends of these whips. The hair, gaining predatory qualities with its serrated edges, was now trying to destroy the enemy with its piercing aspects.
General Tongue, receiving the call, also needed to take action, and if he attacked using his weapon too, the defending side consisting of nine druids would cease to be an obstacle in a short time, but while the steam emerging when the purple droplets touched the ground hit her face, General Hair stood motionless.
"What happened to you? Attack you idiot!"
General Eye shouted as if cursing after the last somersault he performed from the sky. While two people did whatever they could, their other brother-in-arms was standing idle. It was beyond belief; how could the most brutal among them remain so unresponsive in a life-or-death moment.
It was impossible for them to give the answer to this; at least, they would fight in a confused state until they saw the Dark Energy starting from under Siomha's feet and uniting with General Hair's shadow.
"I don't want to go mom, why are you giving me to them?"
A little child was crying clinging to the waist of a woman who had a few silver coins in her hand. He was waiting for the answer of the woman whose apron he pressed his head against, but this answer didn't come, nor would it. In front of two people standing at the door of the barn with a few piles of hay behind it, a man with worn-out camouflages couldn't take his eyes off the little child.
"Come here you little rat!"
The man separated the little child from the woman by grabbing his arm and dragged him towards the mechanical vehicle dozens of steps ahead. The child, whose body was covered in mud accompanied by screams, tears, and curses, was still trembling until he was thrown among hundreds of children his own age.
They were inside a wagon attached to a mechanical vehicle meant for transport; as everyone looked at one another, it was possible to read the traces of fear in their eyes. The same look appeared in her eyes again years later; while she perished with stone shackles pinning her feet to the ground, icicles plunging into her torso, and lavas melting her facial skin, only her eyes were reliving those days again.
"One of them has hypnotic powers. Be careful!"
General Eye had understood what happened, but it was too late. His target was like a slippery fish; every time he tried to grasp him, he slipped from his hands, and concentrating on dealing with him caused their numbers to decrease by one.
He rose once again; he opened his wings, locked onto the position of Alator, who could barely stand, and went into a dive. He could finish his job here and cover his tracks while the others dealt with General Hair, but there was something his golden eyes didn't take into account.
The moment Alator merged the magic circles appearing in his two palms with the earth, a magic circle twenty steps in diameter appeared on the ground. In the middle of the circle where green and ice blue intertwined, a Pentagram figure with its point facing upwards was engraved.
"Die!"
Alator spoke without raising his head; ice stalagmites breaking off from the earth borrowed the might of wind energy. The rain had started, but this time there was a flow not from the sky to the ground, but from the ground to the sky.
Alator, who had dual element dominion, was drawing a magic circle that would gather the wind and water elements in the environment while dodging General Eye's attacks at the same time. His craftsmanship was elegant; as his dominion over elements increased, his might increased proportionately.
General Eye couldn't turn back or escape in another direction while in the middle of his dive. In a situation that turned into a complete deadlock for both sides, time would determine the winner. Would it be General Eye diving like a giant spear by uniting his wings in front of his body, or Alator, the Elemental Ten Leader raining ice from the ground to the sky?
One wouldn't need to wait long for the answer; the wings managing to shatter the ice stalagmites finally failed. The resistance and hopes of salvation lasting for meters cracked first along with the first magical attack landing on the metallic armor, then mixed with the clouds along with green lights.
Except for two feathers, nothing fell to the ground. Alator turned around, targeted the exposed back of General Hair who had to retreat from an attack position to defense, and after pulling the ice spear appearing in his right hand back, he swung it accompanied by a deep breath.
Under normal conditions, it wasn't possible for a spear coming out of the hand of someone possessing a physique like Alator to reach this speed, but the Leader of the Elemental Ten had specialized in using the acceleration feature of the wind element.
Even though General Hair wanted to protect herself by wrapping her body with her hair at the last moment, it was to no avail; joining the journey of the ice spear plunging halfway into her body, she was dragged all the way to the Golden City walls.
She was still alive after the collision, the breath she took was filling her lungs even if with difficulty, but following the lavas descending upon her body like a nightmare and the earth layer covering them and sealing her inside, the show was ending for her too.
