Chapter 627 - Altı Yüz Yirmi Yedi

No one could know him better than Master Leonardo. Nafız might have saved Michelangelo, but she wasn't the person who gave the young man a purpose. Despite this, looking at Master Leonardo's words, it was understood that even he hadn't fully achieved his goal.

"Forgive me!"

While the battlefield was agitated, only one person could hear the words of the young man swinging like a rag, and this person was the sole addressee of what was said. Michelangelo put his hand on the machine that was his enemy; the metal arms met each other.

At that moment, the machine began to shatter; Michelangelo, one of the rare humans possessing Lineage Power, finally decided to use it. He had the power to shatter any kind of machine and mechanical tool, and the invention pleasing the southern walls was on the verge of destruction.

The blood-red life energy flowing from the torso of the limbless man was trying to repair the damaged parts, but there was no end other than shattering again in the face of Michelangelo's power. The cycle continued; the young man shattered, the limbless man repaired with his life force until he breathed his last breath.

When the energy shield protecting him and the metals piercing his body shattered, Michelangelo caught the corpse drifting in the air like a leaf, never taking his eyes off the walls. He was looking as if begging for forgiveness from the family of the man he killed, especially his little girl.

"Kill! Fire the cannon!"

While Michelangelo was in this state, an order rose from the platform where the high architects watching him were. A second later, bright yellow energy masses were fired from the cannon standing on a bastion on the Golden City walls and larger in size than a three-story house.

The duels had just finished, but the enemy was taking priority in starting the war. Michelangelo hadn't finished the internal reckoning of what he did; he couldn't react to the attack turning into sharp-pointed earth stakes.

"Get behind me!"

If the owner of the voice hadn't stepped in front of him and braced the attack with his shield, the young man's body would have shattered until only his metal limbs remained. Wallofwild countered the attack with the equipment that gave him his name and, without losing time, returned it to the enemy.

The lion's roar curled through the attack wave that fell to the ground opening deep craters; its target was one of the energy cannons of an unprecedented size. The weapon attacking using earth energy would taste his attack turned into a sound wave while going into the cooldown phase after the first shot.

That was the plan, but something that wasn't on the Golden City walls was around it; there was a protection shield. The Mercenaries, whose resources ran out after the Death Pass defeat, didn't have energy crystals to surround the walls of their capital, but the Machine Empire was cautious and rich enough to consider the security of its inventions.

The attack consisting of sound waves shattered upon hitting the transparent energy shield; the clouds in the sky and the piece of earth at the foot of the wall changed shape with the effect of the bouncing attack.

"Not good! It seems the power of the weapons on the walls will suppress us!"

The Chief Engineer of the Sand City wasn't late in analyzing the situation because four cannons were being fired one after another. Attacks from the giant energy cannons on the bastions of the Golden City, each in a different color and possessing different qualities, set off towards the Orc Empire Army.

"You don't need to worry about this front!"

The Master broke his silence; he opened his two hands to the sides, and two energy cannons at least as large as those on the walls appeared in the area in front of them.

"Let's see which of us can make more powerful weapons!"

When Leonardo's eye gleamed, those next to him realized they had forgotten something for a long time. This short, white-haired, and chubby-looking man was an engineer, and talented enough to take the title of high architect at that.

Not choosing war was his own preference, but this didn't mean he couldn't fight. The fact that he was exiled instead of killed despite the strict rules of the Machine Empire was proof of his worth, and now that man was revealing one of the cards in his hand.

Over the metallic torso resembling a small hill, there was a ring wide enough for two orcs to grasp only by standing side by side and extending their arms. The master, appearing behind another metal part connected to the ring and extending backward, initiated the attack by putting his two hands on the weapons.

The rings began to spin; the energy masses fired from the barrels on them advanced towards the other forms of energy in the air. On the southern walls of the Golden City, there were cannons capable of attacking with Earth and Lightning energy, and after the first attack wave, the sides couldn't overpower each other.

"Attack! I will protect you with my cannons!"

Master Leonardo shouted when he saw the result; using his newly invented cannons possessing superior firepower with their rotating barrels, he could provide protection to the front he was on. His call didn't remain unanswered; the Volunteer Orc Warriors, waiting with gritted teeth, charged forward letting out battle cries.

On the other side, on the northern front, things were getting interesting too. Despite the attacks coming out of the cannons possessing Wind and Water Elements and coming almost right above their heads, no one panicked. Neither Batu's Golden Army, nor Boss's Warriors, nor the Elemental Ten members left their places.

"Water that shatters everything and Wind that sweeps away whatever comes its way, heed my call!"

Alator opened his arms and began to repeat the same words. A few breaths later, the Elemental Ten members appeared around him; along with their arrival, Alator's voice began to boom louder.

The enemy attacks were close; perhaps a few breaths later, water drops turned into needles or pinwheels tearing the air like sharp razors would shatter their bodies, but the Pentagram symbol appearing inside the circle they formed didn't allow this.

Water and Wind intertwined, rising like a pillar, and then scattering in all directions, swallowed the attacks coming from the energy cannons and neutralized them. The defense duty was successfully completed, but the Elemental Ten didn't stop here; they directed the elemental power under their dominion towards the Golden City walls.

Even though the two armies and their commanders seeing this maintained their calmness, the orc warriors who came here under the name of Volunteers and wanted to create a name, a legend for themselves, raised their axes and darted forward.

While the Southern and Northern walls began to be scorched with the fire of war, the wait continued in the middle region, the heart of the Orc Empire army. There was only one cannon facing them, but no attack had come out of the barrel of this cannon glowing like a red-hot ember yet.

The wait created tension, and tension was the last thing orcs could keep pace with. The Volunteer Orcs darted forward without receiving an attack order; if the enemy wasn't acting, why would they wait?

"Stop, retreat!"

It was too late when Kuyag shouted; the orc warriors stepping dozens of steps forward were running without seeing the lava covering the sky. The rhythm of war had hypnotized them; they were advancing towards their deaths without slowing down.

Wallofwild was on the southern front, but even if he were here, he didn't possess a shield large enough to protect everyone. Kuyag was talented in stealth, and no one at the rank of Major possessed the ability to repel an attack of such a large scale.

Behind them were two great warriors of the orc race, their two great leaders; surely they would have a solution for this situation, but how could they bear the shame of showing the enemy that they relied on them from the very first minutes?

"Lie down!"

The volunteer orcs might not have heard the attack coming from ahead, but they couldn't remain indifferent to the roar rising from behind them. Their bodies automatically obeyed the one more powerful; they threw themselves to the ground. Good thing they did, otherwise they would have been the victims of the giant blood-red crescent rising from the ground to shatter the lava attacks in the sky.

The chain of command consisted of orcs who had witnessed this attack being performed by the Blood God Nafız a few times; under normal conditions, they shouldn't have had such an astonished expression, but the Leader of the Nameless Ten, who finished swinging his sword, looked mighty enough to create this effect right now.
