Chapter 616 - Altı Yüz On Altı

After their King destroyed the mages, the Hell Realm army became quite unruly. They were cutting down the mercenaries, whom the warriors belonging to Miloş's army zombified by biting, and the others trying to resist them without distinction.

"No mercy, no taking prisoners!"

The commanders of the Hell Army were shouting the same thing. The impenetrable structure of the Death Pass had been shattered once; they couldn't miss this opportunity. As for the mercenaries experiencing an event unparalleled in history, they were running for their lives.

On one side were the people who attacked to eat them and who were their friends just a few minutes ago; on the other side was the Hell Realm army that managed to cross the wall they thought impassable. They were running away without even looking back; no one could hold them here.

"Don't run, return to your positions!"

"Not only those who flee but also their families will be executed!"

Only two generals remained standing. With a sense of duty, they were trying to fulfill the responsibility given to them, but the enemy was a step away.

"You shut your mouth, let me see!"

Within the darkness, a shadow swallowing all the reflections of the lights moved, and his twin swords met Balbazar's twin swords. Alis chose the general using the same type of weapon as himself as an opponent, and the mercenaries running past them easily managed to escape.

"You, will die!"

Seeing this, Alaben wanted to lift his heavy machete and attack, but the presence of ten druid warriors lined up around him didn't allow this. The earth rising from his two sides turned into hands and tried to crush him in their palms.

The general wouldn't be defeated by this; he turned his weapon sideways and escaped the trap, but that wasn't all. When the earth mass falling to the ground combined with water coming from an unknown source, it prevented the burly man from moving.

He could overcome this with the reinforcement in his boots, and he moved to do so, but fire suddenly enveloped his entire body. The mages among the druid warriors were baptizing him with fire. When Alaben swung his weapon and dispersed the flames, it was seen that he escaped uninjured thanks to his armors.

He was going to lunge forward and kill the mages who were supposed to stay inside their magic circles, but there was a problem. The mud hardened when tempered with fire, and even the reinforcement in his boots couldn't enable him to move his foot. Within ten seconds, the giant general had become immobile. Alaben made a move towards the shackles binding him with the Earth Energy he loaded into his weapon and managed to shatter them in a single strike; now it was time for massacre.

Of course, there would be those who didn't agree with the general's idea; even though he wasn't aware within the fifteen-second period, the area he was in had been marked by the druid warriors. A magic attack executed by ten people simultaneously was coming, and the pillar of light descending to the earth by shattering the dark night was right above Alaben.

"Impossible, I won't die here!"

He wanted to escape; he thought of getting out of the trap before the light reached him by using the Earth, Fire, and Wind energies found in his equipment, but the bones emerging from underground and piercing his flesh didn't allow this.

"You have pillaged, harassed the lands of our Holy Bone Cult for years. The time has come to pay the price!"

Muslo made his move at the most critical moment. Bone, the power he mastered, was a substance that would suppress all elemental attacks, even if for a short time, and even a few seconds were enough for Alaben to die. When everything was over, a bottomless hole appeared; not even a speck of dust remained of the general.

"Alaben!"

Balbazar was fighting not too far away and had seen his partner's end. Perhaps it was his first time witnessing the attack power of the druid warriors this closely; his feet had started to go backwards.

"You're not going anywhere, general. When the opportunity was presented, you should have opened the door and surrendered!"

Alis began to spread his domain, and the color of half of his hair turned black, half white. Green wind energy locked the area around the two men; even if Balbazar wanted to, he couldn't escape anywhere.

"There is only one way out of here, and that is to kill me!"

Alis, disappearing suddenly, whispered into his ear while making an X mark on the enemy's back. Balbazar was in shock due to the change; how could a human move this fast? His logic told him not to fight, to run; he attacked running towards the borders of Alis's domain, but his weapons carrying wind and fire energy couldn't damage the integrity of the green curtain.

"Didn't I tell you?"

Alis, whose first strikes couldn't bypass the enemy's armor, hit the same place again this time. The worn area thinned thoroughly; Balbazar knew he couldn't withstand another blow here. He turned his face and decided to fight, but his enemy was no longer there.

He fell to the ground with the twin sword blow landing on his feet; he recovered in a second, but his right hand holding the sword loaded with fire energy was sent flying backwards. This was Alis's playground; if he didn't do something, he would gradually be slaughtered.

He wasn't caught as off guard as his friend; he injected the serums specially prepared for generals into his body. A breath later, he met Alis's swords; his gazes, his attitude, and the aggressiveness radiating from his body had increased manifold.

It was his turn to attack; inside the area surrounded by the green curtain, flames reinforced by the wind were roaming. This combination was the most frequently preferred combination by those who wanted to make energy attacks with their weapons. It aimed to destroy the enemy together with the presence of the other element fueling the destructive power.

"I guess you haven't noticed my relationship with the wind yet!"

Alis, beginning to spin his two swords in front of his body, built a wall in front of the flames. The continuously renewed flames wanted to reach him, but it was impossible for them to cross the drawn border. Wind could destroy flames just as it reinforced them, and right now one of the best examples of this was being displayed.

"Now it is time for you to see absolute darkness!"

Alis's body darkened, not even a single white spot remained, and the green curtain also kept pace with this, blending into the night. While Balbazar's flames floundered, dark energy was covering them. The General was swinging his swords non-stop; he thought if he did it this way, it would be impossible for the enemy to approach him, until he heard the words accompanying the sword piercing through his throat.

"I know your strongest ones are in the Golden City. Next to the Generals killed inside the Hell Palace, you are no different from a little child!"

When the sword came back out, Balbazar had no chance to respond; he fell to the ground with his eyes open. Alis didn't maintain his domain any longer; he wanted to reconnect with the outside world and help the others, but he would see in a few seconds that this wasn't necessary.

Once fear takes over a person, even if they had the numerical or terrain superiority, the mercenaries had scattered and gone. The Hell Army was hunting them down like flies buzzing around on a summer day.

Everything was over in half an hour. The Death Pass, whose time of construction or how long it had remained impassable was unknown, was being captured by the army led by Joshua. Those who didn't experience this night might say so, but everyone knew very well that this wouldn't be possible if it weren't for the beings intervening from the shadows.

Now, their leader was showing up along with Godfrey, whom he grabbed by the nape of his neck like a kitten. Curious gazes were on the man; they didn't know who or what he was, but they were glad he wasn't an enemy.

"Miloş, your hunt went well I see!"

When Joshua addressed this person by his name, those around him relaxed thoroughly. It was obvious their king and the man whose eyes glowed blood red knew each other.

"I congratulate you too. You managed to capture the Death Pass before our Master arrives, because I feel he will be here very soon!"
