Chapter 11 - CHAPTER 11 “In the Name of Order”

At first, no one felt like they were losing their freedom.

It began with small things—doors closed "temporarily,"corridors that were "better avoided,"and simple sentences spoken in friendly tones:

for everyone's safety.

Raditia noticed the change not through rules, but through the way people looked at each other.

Stares were no longer neutral. There was always a pause before answering.Always a calculation before approaching.

Order grew not because it was commanded, but because people feared what would happenif no one held control.

Someone began recording movements.

Not as reports—but as "reminders."

Hansol noticed it first.

"Since when do we need to be recorded?" he whispered to Raditia.

Raditia didn't answer immediately.

Because he knew—that question alonewas enough to make someone suspicious.

In the corner of the hall, Kazuhiro observed silently.

He recognized the pattern.

Not from theory, but from a lifetime of surviving alone.

"It always starts like this," he finally said."Not with violence.""But with good intentions that are never questioned."

Hansol whispered,"These aren't game rules."

Raditia nodded."They're human rules."

Kazuhiro leaned against the wall, silent.

His eyes weren't on anyone—but on the pattern forming itself.

Kazuhiro was still thinking.

Why was a pattern forming? Was this a game after all—or merely a symbol?
