Somewhere in Sector 05,
In a closed off room a lady sat on the floor gracefully.
She wore a pristine white one piece inscribed with golden symbols, thin translucent silk fabric rapped around her exposed neck and shoulders, falling down on the floor like a cascade.
She had very long luscious blonde hair, as they too cascade on the silk that is sprawled on the floor. A thin braid running down the middle.
If anyone were to see her from front, then they would notice a blue silk blindfold with a holy cross symbol in middle covering her eyes.
Neitherless, she was epitome of Heavenly Beauty. Untouched by mortal affairs.
She was currently inscribing something on the floor in holy tongue. Forming a perfect circle arround herself, detaching herself from outside world.
Then her blindfolded eyes starred at the judgement scale before her.
They were made of gold and silver, the right side of the scale carried golden flame while the left side carried a silver white flame. Those flames were the only source of light in the unlit room, providing warmth in silence.
Both sides of the scale were perfectly balanced, none above or below other. Forming an equilibrium.
After few moments of silence, her hands reached out to slowly remove the silk blindfold.
Then she reached out to hold the base of the scale, steadily picking it up, so has to not drop the flames and bought it near her small face.
Gradually she opened her eyes, revealing a starry void in place of her Iris. They starred within the two flames each.
Then... the world around her suddenly disappeared, replaced by a endless pond of crystal clear water.
The judgement scale had disappeared from her clutches. She heed it no mind.
Still in the same seated position, she gently relaxed her hands atop her thighs and gazed down the crystal clear water.
Inside the still pond were brightly lit submerged cities, walled off from each other.
On its bustling streets were children running around, tiny skewer in their little mouths, troubling adults by running into them.
The adults heartily laughed at the children, going back to their date.
A middle aged lady shopkeeper frowned at the haggling coustomer.
A mother showed her young baby fishes in aquarium.
A gang of delinquents smoked and played cards in the dimily lit allys.
A scholar ruffed his hair violently while reading the stacks of papers on his desk.
She silently gazed down on all of them but what she was truly looking for where the ripples in the silent pond.
The ripples showed her a glimpse at the future of others. Greater the ripple, more fates will be intertwined. More disturbed the endless pond of fate will be.
She could see gaint ripples, almost a Tsunami in few Sectors.
Namely,
Sector 14
Sector 16
Sector 21
Sector 19
Sector 01
Sector 03
Sector 05
Sector 11
Sector 00
They were the chosen of fate, their harbinger. She silently noted their position and scanned for anomalies.
This proved to be hard, as those great fate obscured her ability to see smaller ripples of fate further away or any anomaly for as to say.
In the end, she couldn't spot anything out of place due to Fate harbingers interference.
Giving out a small sigh, she relaxed her body and let the pond that she sat upon submerge her whole.
Her body fell deeper and deeper, getting carried by the undercurrents that led her towards her orignal location.
Blaze!
Hearing the blazing of flames, she snapped out of her daze. The starry void retreated into the depths of her eyes, returning her eyes back to her orginal golden iris.
Setting the judgement scale down which has now slightly offset towards left, she put the silk blindfold back on.
As she was in motion of doing so, someone spoke from within the darkness of room.
"Did you find what I requested?"
The crystalline chandler above her brightened up, followed by blazing up of gas lamps. They illuminated the room, which had been previously dark.
Now in light, the room presented itself in all its glory. Presenting a small but suffosticated oppulant room, which could only belong to a wealthy Aristocrat.
Every object in the room screemed luxury, a single object was as pricy as a standard noble carriage ..fully bought, which could cost a common merchant years to collect funds for.
Towards the end of the room, in front of her, on the lavish sofa sat a young lady.
She wore a dark green suit, paired with matching trouser. Her long forest green hair neatly tied behind her in a ponytail.
Sitting with her legs crossed, she wore an annoyed expression, her yellow eyes sharply pointed at her.
Though she looked like of noble upbringing with the natural elegance in her actions, her attire and actions were improper for a young noble lady.
"I waited for so long due to those... rituals and protocols of yours. Do the Axiom Temple believe themselves to be higher than us, to make us wait for so long under the guise of protocols." She spoke sharply but evenly at her.
"I waited long enough....so priestess, Now tell me where the blasphemer is, as our deal for told." She continued in lower voice.
She calmly got up from her seated position and answered in an even tone,
"I am unable to locate him in any sector."
She did not mention the fate harbingers, has it was not part of their contract.
The expression of the lady morphed into restrained anger. She got up from her sofa and slowly approached the priestess, her heels loudly clicking against the floor menacingly with each step.
"Unable to locate? Not even a single lead?" She asked again in an lower voice.
The priestess nodded, not offering any more words about her divination. A priestess never speaks too much in detail about her divination.
The lady clutched the neck of priestess in one hand, lifting her up. The room started to buzz, lamps flickering rapidly.
The yellow eyes of the lady shone subtly, drilling holes into the priestess with her gaze.
The priestess didn't resist, letting herself be picked up like a helpless doll. Her expression remained calm and composed.
"Do you not fear death? You think the Principalities will protect you here? In this closed off room?"
Her hand clutched the neck tighter, nails digging into it.
"A priestess that observes fate doesn't cower in fear." She spoke in her even tone, even though it came out strained due to lack of oxygen.
"I don't need anyone's protection, my time will come - Now or later...The Principalities only coperate with Golden Order to annihilate the Outsider of Fate, The Blasphemer. My death doesn't matter in that great cause."
The lady watched the face of priestess turn blue from oxygen deprivation, waiting for any instinctive retaliation from the priestess to save her life.
The priestess remained calm and composed as ever, giving no expression suggesting despair or pain.
"Tch....damn temple freaks." The lady muttered under her breath and released the priestess.
"hk—hh-!"
The priestess fell down to her knees and immediately gasped for air. Red handprints etched itself around her neck, blood oozed from the small punctures by nails.
The priestess left the injury untreated, calmly picking up the scale and turning around to exit. As if the entire exchange never occurred.
Tch
Clicking her tongue, she sat back on the sofa. Heaving a tired sigh.
She summoned a cigarette and attempted to light it up.
Knock knock
Rudely distracted during her smoke break by a knock on the door, she shouted sharply,
"What is it now?! Can't you see the time?!"
"Pardon me for distributing you this late, Madam Velera." A voice apologized from behind the closed door, it was her loyal maid.
"But I have received intel that Lord Overseer the Third had changed this time's monthly gathering from Sector 03 to Sector 07due to Sinners unusual activity in Sector 03." The maid reported in an even tone.
Velera frowned in annoyance. Again? This is the 3rd time the sinners had made it annoying.
"Haa....I get it, go now. Prepare departure for Inverse Sector 07." She further issued orders.
She de-summoned the cigarette and got up.
In its place was a pristine white mask with 3 golden Circles overlapping eachother.
