Appendix: World Overview

1 - The World

The events of this story take place on Earth in the early 2020s, a world identical to modern history until the sudden arrival of the Labyrinth. Technology, culture, and global infrastructure remain largely intact at the time of the Labyrinth's first appearance, creating a sharp contrast between the familiar modern world and the unknown system imposed upon it.

Following the announcement, Earth becomes one of many sentient worlds drawn into a larger, unexplained trial.

2 - Beast Taming

The Chaotic Beast Egg

Upon the Labyrinth's announcement, all humans between the ages of 15 and 50 are gifted a Chaotic Beast Egg. This egg is bound to the individual and cannot be traded or destroyed.

The type, talent, and future potential of the beast are entirely random, regardless of choice. While delaying may increase the chance of higher talent, it also significantly increases early survival risk.

Beast Talent Ranks

Beasts are classified by innate talent, which determines their maximum natural growth potential.

Talent ranks, from lowest to highest, are:

Black Iron

Bronze

Silver

Gold

Platinum

Legend

Mythical

Heavenly

Most individuals receive beasts in the Black Iron or Bronze tiers, typically animals such as foxes, coyotes, wolves, lizards, or predatory birds.

Growth and Advancement

Their talent rank determines how far they can grow naturally.

Each rank contains three stages:

Minor (-)

Established

Major (+)

Example:

Black Iron -

Black Iron

Black Iron +

After reaching a Major stage, a beast undergoes a promotion, advancing to the next rank.

Mutation and Talent Elevation

Promotion offers limited opportunities for mutation, which may enhance a beast's abilities or, in rare cases, increase its talent rank.

While most beasts cannot exceed their innate talent, exceptions exist, particularly through Labyrinth influence.

3 - The Labyrinth

The Labyrinth is an unknown system that selects individuals from sentient worlds and subjects them to escalating trials. Its ultimate objective is to identify a challenger capable of clearing all 100 levels.

Participants enter the Labyrinth at designated intervals and face monsters, environmental hazards, and bosses designed to test survival, strategy, and growth.

It is a multi-world system, and Earth is only one of many planets undergoing the same test.
