Chapter 14 - The enemy of an enemy is a friend.

In the brightly lit condo, Michael sat relaxed, twirling a glass of whiskey in his hand. A small smile danced on his lips as his eyes gazed into the distance.

"For a doctor, you're quite negligent about your health," a voice broke the silence.

Michael lazily turned his head to face the familiar intruder—his closest friend and attorney, Jack O'Rally, one of the craziest and most feared lawyers in the city.

"Why are you here?" Michael drawled. "For the most sought-after attorney, you seem surprisingly free."

"What's with that creepy smile on your face?" Jack shot back as he poured himself a glass of whiskey. "I rushed over the moment I heard your grandfather called. Got into a fight with your brother again?"

"You're quite the gossip," Michael said mildly. "If I didn't know better, I'd think you were worried about me. Don't worry—I wasn't cut off from the company, so I still need you as my attorney."

He tipped the glass back, draining its contents in one gulp, then dropped it onto the table with a dull thud.

"You seem happy," Jack said, frowning. "Which is unusual. Every time you come back from your grandfather's place, you look like death warmed over. Don't tell me you won against your brother this time."

Michael huffed softly, the smile never leaving his lips.

"Winning?" he echoed. "That old man will always take Kelvin's side. Even when Kelvin causes real damage, he walks away with nothing more than a slap on the wrist."

The King patriarch liked to appear fair, but everyone knew the truth—he was biased.

Don't ever think of taking what belongs to your brother.

That warning was burned into Michael's memory.

And every time, with that same gentle smile on his face, Michael would answer obediently, I would never, Grandfather.

"So you're telling me you didn't win," Jack said, his voice sharpening. "Kelvin destroyed one of your investments this month—bankrupted the entire company. Now half the market has blacklisted you because they don't want to provoke Kelvin Kings."

Jack stared at him. "And you're sitting here smiling like nothing happened?"

Jack knew better than anyone. Michael hid his true nature behind warmth and politeness—but beneath it all, he was a patient, dangerous schemer.

Michael hummed softly.

"I already sent him a gift in return," he said. "One I'm sure he'll love."

Jack's eyes narrowed.

Michael knew his brother well. Kelvin had only one real weakness—his mother. He never forgave anyone who touched that sore spot.

Just imagining the look on Kelvin's face when he discovered another grave occupying his mother's burial site made Michael's smile widen.

Kelvin would attack Julia.

And Julia—oh, Michael knew—she would fight back.

That would give them a common enemy. A shared battlefield.

Killing two birds with one stone.

Back in the grave yard.

Julia pushed her wet sticky hair out of her face, her eyes scanned the angry man who was glaring at her his black hair stuck as rain poured down to his face and his white shirt was taper showing his masculine outlines and heaving chest, her eyes moved to man who was standing next to who looked at her as though she was finished, he was comptemplating wheather to share his umbrella with his boss or keep it for himself. Her eyes moved back to kelvin one word came to her mind ,rage,

A smirk appear on Julia lips as her eyes looking directly into the one glaring at her, she stood up, her leg cramping from kneeling for a long time.

Private do you say,i don't see any name here, she asked?

Finn, turned pale at the bold woman's words, he could barely believe his eyes most people won't dare to confront his boss and not to talk of look into his eyes, this woman must be a ghost perhaps.

Kelvin let out a cold laugh, that viberated clearly in the grave yard, he's eye sized Julia as though he couldn't believe someone was standing up to him .

He took a step towards her leaving only an inch between them, Julia barely flinched at his intimidating advance, as someone who has died before not alot of things scares her anymore.

I don't know who put you to this but listen, you would digged up that coffin and take it away, from my mother site, kelvin gritted out.

Julia huffed at this, if i remember property there a law that states, no one can claim private ownership, to a government property, if you mother was so important to you you would have brought a private property to have her buried in there, Julia says.

Kelvin hands clutched at her words, Julia has just unknowingly pricked open a scar that had hurt him so badly for years,

Boss, finn immediately came to the rescue knowing his boss losses his mind whenever he was angry.

Kelvin ignore his pa his eyes still fixed on Julia, i would make sure you regret the day you were born whoever you are.

Turning he walked out of the graveyard, his PA following after him,

Julia let out the breathe she's been holding in, whoever he was ,she wasn't going to be afraid of him she scoffed, making her way back to the car.

When she got to the car, she told James,

"Get me every details you can find on her kelvin ordered as the drove away."
