Ficool

Chapter 7 - grey

2018-2019 the rest that happened this year other than Tomek.

Abdullah made another friend sometime this year he doesn't remember the details, but he knows they talked about Pokémon a lot the games the shows. They weren't in the same class so they would talk as much as they could in the yard.

His name was Alois. A Czech kid short black haired white complexion. He was fun to talk to and with Tomek to play with Abdullah was happy with his friend situation for the year.

At home life was interesting. Every now and again his dad would take him out for car rides or for a treat. Abdullah loved these little moments with his dad. There was one place where Abdullah would be taken to for pizza. He loved their pizza.

Abdullahs father had a friend who owned the place so he would get brought along a good few times that friend also had a son in Abdullah's school he was friends with Tomek. Abdullah didn't know much about him he knew his mom was polish though.

Abdullah didn't really interact with the boy, but he went to his birthday that year Tomek was also there he doesn't remember much about the birthday they sun happy birthday for him "happy birthday to Nadeem" he knows it was an alright day though.

As of now Abdullah is only 8 years of age many of his morals come from simple explanations from his mother and his religion. "There are good people and bad people" is what he thought.

It was simple clean easy to follow. Life on the other hand was the opposite...

Abdullah was quite obedient. He spoke when spoken to. He listened to and did what the adults told him. To him it was easier to just comply and not care about what you think or what you want to him he thought that didn't matter after all what did he know.

He wanted to keep others happy, so he just complied. Being selfless to him was the most important thing after all. Selfishness was the biggest sin. Or as he would put it "its bad to only care about yourself. It's good to help."

His brother on the other hand was loud stubborn raised differently. He was careless often got himself into trouble. He hardly listened and wasn't obedient he valued his freedom. To do whatever he wanted. Almost the opposite of Abdullah.

Abdullahs father preferred his second sons' attitude more often getting fed up with Ali's antics.

Abdullahs father had a bad case of anger issues when things weren't in order he yelled and shouted. Abdullah would stay silent and be quiet. Ali would shout back. That only made everything worse.

Sometimes their father would hit Ali throwing things a slap or grabbing his arms so hard you'd think they 'd snap. Their mother tried to stop him and so did Abdullah. But how could they.

Abdullah was a child, and his mother was a short his father wasn't too old at the time at a height of 6ft 3inches and 125kg of muscle compared to them two his strength might as well be superhuman.

Abdullah didn't want to see his brother hurt he wanted to protect him he tried to stop his dad getting in the way but with just one arm he could easily throw Abdullah out of the way often he got hit just by trying to help.

He realised just how helpless he was he was too weak too small he couldn't do anything he couldn't help anyone he grew to resent his father from then on, every time he did something like that. Abdullah would think "just wait until your old and I'm the strong one".

The thing was afterwards his father calmed would try and make things better fix things and be nice again Abdullah didn't hate his father how could he. His father loved him treated him well and did so much for his family.

But Abdullah hated his actions how he made him feel how his father could make him so angry he would get to the point of wanting to hurt his own father to teach him a lesson on his actions, but he knew he was too weak right now.

Abdullah didn't understand how he could cause so much sadness and pain on his loved ones while also being able to bring joy and security other times.

Abdullah learnt two lessons that day

1 is that equality doesn't exist if one person has more power or strength then the other the weaker person is at their mercy. And must hope for the best. That's why it's up to the strong to help the weak.

He took that lesson to heart and told himself once he was strong, he would help those weaker than himself so they wouldn't have to feel the same helplessness he did at his father's mercy.

2 people aren't black and white there isn't just good people and bad people some people are.
