Kaito was about to step forward.

But before he could finish, Daichi grabbed his arm. He slowly shook his head.

Mr. Alex, who had been watching everything, suddenly flinched when something was whispered into his ear. His face tensed for a moment. He glanced at Tariya beside him. Tariya gave a slight nod.

She had already half-left the room.

At that moment, Mr. Alex's expression changed. As if he had made a decision.

He stepped forward.

"Haruto… Kaito… all of you, listen to me."

Everyone turned to him.

"Yuki is most likely in this state because she can't control her powers. Mitsuni confirms this."

Haruto lifted his head. His eyes were still wet.

Mr. Alex continued:

"This… might be what we call 'Bam Syndrome.' Mitsuni, are you sure? Have these black veins appeared before?"

Mitsuni swallowed. Her eyes were uncertain.

Haruto clenched his teeth.

Mitsuni spoke with difficulty:

Her voice trembled.

Daichi had returned.

Everyone turned to him.

"We take care of her. Or we send her away."

He paused.

"…to a place where she can learn to control it."

He thought for a moment.

"There are special schools for those who can't control quirk-hunter abilities. Not in Kyoto… but in remote parts of Japan."

Everyone in the room listened in silence…
