Scolding Angrily, Situ Yan made her way towards Lin Ye's position with a scowl on her face.
Just last week, they had all resumed for college to start their freshmen year, and as per tradition, the freshmen in groups were to display their talents on a show for the whole school, to help better highlight themselves going forward.
"However, why did I have to be paired with this poor bastard?"
Looking at the boy in front of her, she was beyond irritated.
With his white shirt that could barely be called white, scruffy hair that showed it hadn't been properly groomed in a while, and trousers that had various visible patches on them.
As someone who had a reputation to uphold, how could she be paired with such a person?
And to make it worse, the person in question, instead of working, was just foolishly staring at her.

Fortunately, the library was mostly empty, so her shouts didn't really affect anyone.

It could be seen from the fact that although she didn't like him and didn't want to work with him, the fact that she was still here meant the project was important to her.

Pretending to apologise, Lin Ye bowed his head, as if he was genuinely regretful of his actions.

Unfortunately, before she could complete her sentence, Lin Ye's next words made her feel a chill run down her spine.

Surprised, she couldn't help but threaten him, afraid of getting exposed.
However, Lin Ye, looking at her like this, couldn't help but sneer.
"Where do you think you're threatening? I've got you now." Muttering in his mind, he knew this was the time to act.
"Relax, Student Yan, I don't know what you're talking about, rather isn't it just some dumb story about a poor student who was lucky to find someone to feed him?"
"Why are you so shaken up? Relax, come have a seat beside me"
Situ Yan hesitated, her finger tightly gripping her notebook with a mixture of both fear and anger.
She hated what was happening; unfortunately, Lin Ye's next words broke all her resistance.
