Chapter 10 - With His Heart in My Belly

"He never cared in the first place. I mean the king. He doesn't owe you anything. Nor do you own him. No mercy for useless ones like you..."

PSI finished eating the heart, then wiped the blood off his face.

Eugene is a nerd-type guy who never cared about anything but his dreams. As someone who never had magic except one skill, he wasn't any big shot in the academy as well, which landed him as a loser in his class.

Yet, in a world full of magic, he kept on daydreaming about someday becoming the strongest. Of course, his daydreaming level wasn't as intense as his situation; all he dreamed of was bullying back his bullies.

He is naturally a genius, and that's why he never even had the courage to cut his hair in a way that suited his face. He grew his hair until it reached his shoulders. He always used it to cover his face while tilting his head.

That's why PSI smashed his upper clothes—the white oversized shirt. He tied his hair backward, revealing the long-awaited hidden face to life.

It was normal, cool, or pretty—but this time it was sick. Dead eyes… blood on his face…

"I feel great..." the goblins' heads continued to rain.

PSI walked toward the unused spear. He picked it up and extended his arm straight toward the twelve divine goblins.

The flame goblin leader stepped forward, and the stairs extended right above him.

"How dare this insolent dare to request a war. Does he not know who we are?"

As the situation got even worse, the one who was wiser, calmer, and more terrifying stood up from the stairs.

The earth goblin leader.

With a rare commander's voice—a voice that roared and echoed like thunderclouds—he said,

"Flame goblin, stand by for any unexpected attacks. If you use your unbearable incinerating flames, you will draw the enemy's attention. I myself will end this silly fight."

The flame goblin's eyes burned with flame. His hair flared up. His back had glowing red energy that suddenly burst out, flaring like the sun.

"Huh? You don't get to order me around..."

His eyes grew even more intensified.

He then added, "You're a monster, you know that," completely turning around and staring at PSI.

The earth goblin shouted, "Attention, my followers! Join hand to hand with me, and let us strive forward to honor our majesty!"

A pack of twelve dozen earth goblins all shouted, "All hail His Majesty!"

All of a sudden, huge rocks from the ground floated into the air. In just seconds, there were over two thousand huge rocks in the air, each carrying one earth goblin.

As for the earth goblin leader, he formed a stone under his foot, sized perfectly to fit. When he walked on the air, it literally seemed like he was walking on nothing.

All of them surrounded PSI. They all had the ability to use earth magic to its limits. Each of them fired sharp stones.

PSI slowly walked toward the earth goblin. No one knew how, but all the stones kept getting chopped.

The water goblin, watching from the sky, noticed it. He understood it as well, yet it was still a mystery to him.

"He is using water with super speed, cutting the stones. I didn't know water could be this powerful—it's literally slicing stone. Projected from multiple directions with such thin water streams. Plus, there is that... He can't use water magic. How is he able to do all of this? He doesn't even have the magic capacity to begin with. Oh… the water is salty. I can decode it—it's so salty. Does that mean he is using seawater? As expected, he can't draw water from the surroundings. Then how is he using tons of liters as such a destructive weapon?"

The earth goblin suddenly dashed forward, appearing right in front of Pathless. His eyes reached PSI in seconds.

PSI, with the speed he had just gained by devouring the heart of the thirteenth, dashed backward.

Even after dashing backward, he didn't just dodge the attack. A series of earth elements formed a huge punch, extending from the goblin's hands.

PSI dropped backward while gripping with his legs. Just as expected, the giant earth goblin's attacks were cut to pieces.

He bounced back, running straight toward the earth goblin. When he reached him, the goblin struck the ground with his right leg. A huge wall burst out of the ground like a breaching shark.

PSI ran up the wall to reach the tip. In a matter of seconds, he backflipped from the top. He didn't land on the ground but redirected his trajectory onto one of the earth goblin's stones. He crushed the goblin's head and jumped to another, stepping from stone to stone in a zigzag.

Half of the three thousand continued to fall to the ground. The moment came when the king himself killed many of them, using the opportunity he had.

The earth goblin leader launched himself into the sky with two giant hammers—one from the left, the other from the east.

Digging through the air, he ran toward PSI. PSI ran to avoid being caught while the goblin destroyed the surrounding stones.

PSI jumped down from the stones, grabbed a goblin's neck, and twisted it mid-air before landing.

The earth goblin leader grew even more furious. He launched two huge sharp stones from the ground to strike PSI.

The ground transformed into hills with sharp ends. PSI used the goblin's body he held and landed on it.

He jumped again mid-air. One hammer reached and nearly struck him. PSI gritted his teeth, dodged it mid-air, and stepped on it.

As the hammer swung forward, PSI used its momentum to rise even higher as it returned.

At that moment, he threw his spear toward the wall.

The earth goblin leader turned his head toward the spear embedded in the wall. Pathless used all his strength and delivered a fatal blow.

He stepped from stone to stone in the air to reach the spear. When he reached it, he stepped on it like a trampoline. The spear wasn't pure iron—it launched him upward.

While still airborne, he grabbed a fractured stone five times larger than his head. As he fell back down, the earth goblin looked up, only to be crushed by the stone.

PSI screamed, "Stone by stone—how do you like that?!"

At that time, the goblins were all cut down to pieces.

"Look at them—all dead. You're so calm. Or you seem to be. But tell me, were you fighting for them, or for your king? Don't worry—you still honored him."

The earth goblin roared in fury. He knelt on the ground, clutching his head.

"Ahhhhhhh… Ahhhhhhh… Ahhh..."

PSI picked up a goblin dagger stuck in the ground and stabbed it toward the leader's head. But suddenly, a strange force stopped his hand.

Thorny vines and roses wrapped around his leg like a snake and hurled him toward the distant mountain he came from.

In the air, the other leaders joined the fight, circling him. The tree magic goblin leader—she—held her hands together and began healing.

Everyone forgot that PSI had just beaten him. No one cared that PSI might actually—

bounce back.

When PSI reached the mountain, he slowed himself with his toes and bounced back using the same attack strength. With sand and wind goblins nearby, the view became foggy.

The tree magic user smiled.

"He isn't badly injured. He is fi—"

Before she finished saying fine, he appeared.

BOOM!!!

The dagger strike was seen clearly on the other side.

Everyone was terrified. She coughed blood. Her eyes wept crimson.

PSI smiled.
