Chapter 1 - Transmigration

Fulen believed he was still fortunate.

Because he had surpassed the vast majority of people, becoming a Beyonder with capital beyond ordinary humans—yes, the most solid capital.

Fulen believed he was unfortunate.

Because he had stepped onto the Apprentice Pathway, commonly known as one of the "Three Cowards." And the Apprentice was the weakest among the "Three Cowards," not because the Sequence itself was weak, but because its representative figures were weak. The Seer had Klein, Zaratul, Antigonus, and Flegrea; Error had Amon and Pales; but the Apprentice only had Mr. Door, Bethel Abraham, a man with high prestige who knelt as soon as he appeared.

This was not the reason Fulen considered himself unfortunate. The real reason was that his name was Fulen Abraham. Well, if nothing unexpected happened, he could at most become an Astrologer, and then either die of old age, be driven to lose control by Bethel's shouts, or seek refuge with an evil god or a true god.

Fortunately, this morning, the Trier Daily Fulen bought had a piece of news, "Congratulations to the Great Governor, the Steam Child, His Excellency Rosell Gustav, on the Eleventh Anniversary of his Governorship of the Intis Republic."

This news made Fulen overjoyed. He looked at the date at the top of the newspaper, 5th July, 1183. Fulen was a loyal reader of Lord of the Mysteries. What was most praised about Lord of the Mysteries was its grand world view and the realistic history of its mysterious world. Fulen clearly remembered that this date represented something significant for all Abraham Family members on the Apprentice Pathway.

That was, Bethel's "Full Moon" call would be connected. Bethel was the ancestor, glory, and Nightmare of the Abraham Family. It was Bethel's shouts that made the Abrahams both suffer and be safe. Rosell would chat with Bethel for a long time during the "Full Moon Call." It was now July 5, 1183. Rosell connected the hotline on November 18, 1183, and Rosell fell in 1198. However, Rosell and Bethel's long chat time would only be shorter, not lasting a full 15 years. During this period, Bethel would also continue to shout, but it was very likely that many of his sounds would weaken, because the Abraham Family members also continuously advanced as a result. "Spirit World Observations" was born during this period. The author of "Spirit World Observations" was very likely a Scribe, or even a Traveler, as for why they could not become a demigod.

This was very evident when Fors advanced to Secrets Sorcerer. Fors was almost driven to lose control by Mr. Door's shouts. Fortunately, Fors was in a state of good luck, and Klein was there to supervise, so she barely managed to escape the ravings.

As for the original Abraham Family members advancing to demigod, it was certainly more difficult, because Fors was not actually a member of the Abraham Family, but merely an Apprentice who was drawn into it.

Fulen believed that if he wanted to become a demigod, or even an Archangel, or go even further, he must advance to demigod within 15 years. Even with the acting method, such a digestion speed was quite fantastical. This meant that Fulen had to keep moving for these 15 years, constantly causing trouble and digesting the potion.

And if Fulen only wanted to survive, doing nothing for 15 years but merely advancing to Astrologer, that would also be a good thing. However, people eventually grow old. When their energy fails and they can no longer control themselves, that is when they will die without a burial place.

Therefore, Fulen could not stop. He could only advance to demigod within these 15 years, or else live a lifetime of constant anxiety.

In addition, when advancing to demigod, how to maintain one's true self amidst Bethel's ravings and not lose control was also extremely difficult, but Fulen could only continuously search for methods on the path of advancement.

The Abraham Family's resources were sufficient for Fulen to advance to Archangel without pressure. As for Sequence 1, Fulen felt he could consider the "Attendant of Mysteries" potion of the out-of-control Zaratul. This was also Fulen's only chance to advance to Sequence 1 and become an Archangel.

Back to reality, after all, one cannot become fat in one bite.

Fulen Abraham, currently single and unmarried, a young man with a house, deceased parents, and no younger sister, a typical male protagonist template from a web novel, an ordinary rentier class, the kind that would make a poor god cry.

Fulen held 2% of the shares in Trier Commercial Bank, with an annual interest of 3,000 pounds. His fixed assets included a property at 34 Koson Street, Gold Hansdon District, Trier, surrounded by a standard wealthy area. He had 20,000 pounds in bank deposits, earning 800 pounds annually, and 1,342 pounds in liquid funds. There's no need to understand how rich or poor Fulen was, as it's not very important. Fulen's assets placed him in the upper class, though only at the entry level, but they were enough to make a poor god cry.

The Apprentice Sequence is the beginning of a mage school, so learning knowledge, specifically learning mystical knowledge, is indispensable. Whether it's Western mages or modern Chinese sorcerers and other mystics with magical powers, the world believes they possess much knowledge unknown to mortals. Knowledge is power, so Fulen believed he needed to do some reading.

Fortunately, as a member of a fallen Archangel Family, Fulen's father left behind enough mystical knowledge. As for other potentially needed knowledge, Fulen felt he could learn what he needed at the Trier library.

Very fortunately, Trier, where Fulen was located, had a library that attracted attention from the North Continent, the Trier National Library. Its contents covered myriad subjects and it was one of the holy lands that all who yearned for knowledge longed for.

Fulen felt he needed some practical knowledge, that is, knowledge to prepare for later Sequences. The Apprentice Pathway's Sequence 9 to Sequence 0 are, in order: Apprentice, Trickmaster, Astrologer, Scribe, Traveler, Secrets Sorcerer, Wanderer, Planeswalker, Key of Stars, Door.

From Apprentice to Trickmaster is low sequence beyonder, from Astrologer to Traveler is mid sequence beyonder, from Secrets Sorcerer to Wanderer is a Saints, from Planeswalker to Key of Stars is a an Angles, and Door is a True God.

And there is also King of Angles, a sequence 1 Angels who have accommodated more than 1 Sequence 1 characteristics and/or have accommodated the Uniqueness of the pathway.

In Fors's process of advancing to Secrets Sorcerer, Trickmaster, Astrologer, and Scribe all had acting principles and could be digested quickly. Fulen believed that during this process, some knowledge about magic, divination, local travelogues, and geography might be needed to provide the necessary knowledge for the subsequent acting.

Furthering his conjecture on digesting the Apprentice potion, Fulen felt that the Apprentice Sequence might also require the potion taker to physically practice learning. Looking at Klein's journey of digesting potions, the internal logic of the potion was self-consistent, from reverence for fate to wielding fate, with a consistent attitude of hiding oneself before seeking growth. As for the Apprentice Pathway, Fulen felt that concepts such as leader, key, and freedom were particularly important.

The person closest to Door, Bethel Abraham, the ancestor who caused the Abraham Family to fall to this state, his honorific name is "Great Door of All Doors; Guide of Endless Cosmos; Key to all Mysterious Worlds." A god's honorific name implies the acting method of this Pathway, which is the authority possessed by this Pathway.

This is also the common knowledge known to everyone in the mysterious world, knowledge is power.
