Chapter 135 - Episode 135: All-God, Pilgrim, and High Monk

The plague of the earth scattered into the void.

Camella Shirin quietly witnessed the scene.

From her perspective, this ending might have felt anticlimactic.

After all, the source of a disaster she'd suppressed for decades vanished in a single slash.

But what Camella felt now wasn't emptiness or futility.

Just pure astonishment.

She'd been entangled with the plague for so long.

She knew something kept regenerating it endlessly.

But knowing and finding it were two different things.

The plague spanned an absurdly vast area.

Pinpointing its regeneration core was like finding a needle in a desert.

That's why they'd chosen sealing over destruction—waiting for its momentum to wane.

Yet that plague had vanished cleanly in under five seconds.

Step.

Jinhyuk approached Camella, lost in thought.

A being who'd decided, for reasons unknown, to follow her instincts.

"Nice to meet you, Camella."

Jinhyuk greeted her with a bright smile.

Cheeky bastard. That was Camella Shirin's first impression of him.

They'd clearly just met, yet there was an odd familiarity, like they'd known each other forever.

Not unpleasant.

"Pleasure's mine. Young master."

Camella clasped his hand.

Ding!

Camella Shirin's info scrolled up before his eyes.

Jinhyuk's reaction was simple.

'Huh?'

If he had to sum it up in one line: Confusing as hell.

Shaman fit, given she'd been called an all-god.

But the traits, skills, and relics listed below were a total mess.

Part mudang, part monk, part priest.

A jumbled mishmash of everything.

"Camella, question."

"Fire away."

"What are you?"

"I said fire away, not that vague. Be more specific."

"The old man down there called you an all-god, so I figured mudang. The grave-stomping had that shaman vibe too. But your powers and gear? Total mindfuck."

"Hmm."

Camella nodded.

Fair point.

Easy to get mixed up if you're young and new to it.

"As for me? A mudang who held rituals for the nation's fate, a high monk who accumulated merit for Buddha, and a pilgrim who walked paths for gods and goddesses alike."

She displayed her necklaces.

Prayer beads, crosses, talismans—every kind imaginable.

Jinhyuk's jaw dropped.

Meow?

It was detailed and specific, yet somehow more confusing.

"Isn't this straight-up cult shit? Pick one and stick to it—why mix everything?!"

"Oh my."

Camella knelt down, peering quietly at Kancho.

"This one's possessed by Satan."

"Who you callin' Satan?! Ain't no pure, sweet kid like me got demons!"

Kancho's protests fell on deaf ears.

She rummaged for something and slapped it on his forehead.

A talisman scrawled in crimson ink.

"Exorcism."

"Get that cursed shit off me!!!"

Kancho shredded it with a screech.

Jinhyuk swallowed hard.

This is gonna get loud.

"Hmm. Looks like we've got a kindred spirit here."

The enemy of my enemy is my friend, right?

Elia sidled up, throwing an arm around Camella's shoulder.

"I'm Elia. Nice to meet you, friend."

"You seem like someone I can talk to. Camella. Likewise."

"Momo! Where you at?! Come deal with these grannies...!"

Wham!!

Momo flew in from nowhere, dropkicking Kancho.

"Shut it, you Satan-spawned brat!"

The KanMo duo disbanded on the spot.

Watching any longer would give him a headache, so Jinhyuk looked away.

Ding!

[Camella Shirin has depleted an enormous amount of vital energy suppressing the plague for decades!]

[Relics, unique traits, and unique skills unusable until vital energy recovers!]

Most of Camella's status window was locked.

A first for him.

Weirdly detailed in the odd spots.

"Whoops. Here I come crashing in, and instead of helping, I'm dead weight."

"Don't sweat it."

Jinhyuk grinned, tugging Elia's arm.

"Our star alchemist will handle it. Elia, you said you could make recovery pills with regeneration jade, right? Pretty please."

"Oho, perfect. Spot on, as always—our master's got the brains. But the jade's energy is peanuts compared to what she burned. Even as pills, it'll only recover a fraction."

"No worries there either."

This time, he grabbed Momo's chubby hand.

"Our master collector's got it covered. Momo, hand over what you picked up earlier to Elia."

"Buuut... this stuff's super expensive and rare!"

"Candy."

"Here!"

Momo handed over a hefty chunk of regeneration jade.

Neatly bisected.

A testament to Seira's clean slash.

Jinhyuk shot Seira a mental thumbs-up, then tossed the jade shard to Elia.

"Pill production, go!"

"Go!"

Elia dashed straight into her Star Workshop.

To fill the lull, Jinhyuk opened Momo's bag.

Out came a mat, coffee pot, and disposable teabags.

Tea party out of nowhere?

Camella blinked in surprise, but the others didn't bat an eye.

Routine for them—they settled into spots.

"Momo, grab some chocolate cookies."

"Quit eating! The box is empty!"

"Butter cookies then."

"Kamcho gets half!"

Momo split one and handed it over.

Stingy as hell, but Kancho didn't complain.

Half was plenty—he just beamed.

"Sit here, Camella."

Camella, staring blankly, took a seat.

Jinhyuk steeped the tea with practiced ease, passing it around.

The rich green tea aroma wafted in; Camella smiled.

It's been ages... this warmth.

"Not hungry? Our handy girl's a cooking whiz."

"I'm good for now."

"Momo's the queen of cuisine—say the word anytime!"

"Will do."

Camella sipped, eyes closing.

The warmth seeped in.

Her body, crushed by the plague's yin energy, began to loosen.

Savoring the flavor and scent, she opened her eyes to stares.

Curious eyes fixed on the new transfer student.

Jinhyuk, mid-sip, broke the ice.

"What was your world like, Camella?"

"World? Not sure about that."

She glanced around.

"But I've lived in places like this."

"Like this?"

Jinhyuk tilted his head.

Torii gates mixed with ancient trees—hard to pin down, but closest to Japan.

Other worlds have Japans too?

"Where I stayed, they called it Japan."

"Huh?!'

"Your language is Korean, right? Back then, it was Joseon."

Pupils quaked.

He'd assumed she was from some totally alien world, like the others.

Camella smiled at him.

"At least here, you and I are the only ones from the same world."

"Random question, maybe—but why Camella Shirin? Doesn't scream Japanese."

"Born in Italy. Italian dad, Korean mom. Lived all over after that."

Jinhyuk facepalmed.

Hearing familiar country names from a Myth Tower recruit?

Korean mom, no less.

Curiosity exploded.

"Oh?"

Something clicked; he eyed Kancho.

"So elves and such are new to you IRL?"

"First time seeing them for real."

"IRL?"

Camella touched her eye with a finger.

Rustle.

Her brown iris shifted to a lake-blue.

"I've always seen things others can't—what a one-eyed cyclops? Wouldn't faze me."

Unique Trait: Divine Eye.

Gorgeous.

Definitely chill.

He nodded, glancing at Seira.

She was calm too.

But different flavors.

Seira's was innate; Camella's felt like worldly wisdom from a lifetime of sights.

"Hey, cultist! How old are ya?!"

Kancho shot up, yelling.

Trying to seize the initiative, but too pathetic.

"Probably the oldest here? Haven't counted exactly—four, five hundred?"

"Younger than I thought."

"Young'un."

The group chimed in unison, pausing their sips.

Camella blinked, baffled.

Four to five hundred is young?

Jinhyuk cleared his throat twice, politely pointing to Dark.

"That's Dark Castro. Over a thousand years. And Elia, who arm-wrestled you? 3,271."

Camella froze mid-sip.

She'd thought nothing could surprise her anymore.

Arrogant assumption.

Feels weirdly satisfying.

Camella, unflappable even amid bombs, now rigid.

Weirdly rewarding.

Bang!

Perfect timing—the workshop door flew open.

"Pills ready!"

Elia bounded out, holding round ones.

"Ugh."

"Nose melting!"

"Ew, Momo's nose is dissolving!"

The horrific stench hit; Jinhyuk and the KanMo duo recoiled.

Seira and Dark quietly stood and left.

No words needed—it was unbearable.

"Don't chew—swallow whole. Or kiss your taste buds goodbye forever?"

Elia shoved one into Camella's mouth without asking.

"Urk!"

Vomit-inducing horror.

But—
