Behind the Abandoned Building.
Staring at Little Black (the crow) for a few seconds with a chill in her heart, Karen finally snapped out of it. She shook her head, then got into her car as if escaping and left.
Once Karen was gone, one of the black guys nimbly cut the ropes binding Frank's hands. Done, they got in their car and left.
Moments later.
In this deserted area, only Frank remained, curled up on the ground, shaking with pain and wailing incessantly.
After wailing for a short while and confirming those damn bastards were gone, Frank mustered the courage to pull off the hood.
"Motherfxxk," he quickly scanned the surroundings. Seeing no one, Frank decisively started cursing.
After cursing for quite a while, basically exhausting all the profanities he knew, Frank finally gritted his teeth, endured the pain, and struggled to stand up.
With this movement, Frank, who was very familiar with injuries, immediately knew he definitely had a few broken ribs.
Taking a step was a bit uncomfortable, but still within a bearable range.
Going to the hospital for medicine shouldn't count as violating the betting rules.
Frank was scared to death and also afraid of pain. Wanting to go to the hospital, he immediately put on an act of being very seriously injured, wailing and asking for help from passersby.
"Fxxk! Those hits were ruthless!!" Frank felt like exploding with anger. Cursing under his breath, he limped toward the road.
Arriving at the roadside.
He was lucky enough. Only a few minutes later, a passerby who didn't know Frank helped make a call and summoned an ambulance.
"Thanks," after thanking the person, Frank relaxed a lot. He sat casually on the ground, waiting for the ambulance, and at the same time, pondering a question.
Who the fxxk did this?
Frank thought and thought, naturally thinking of Dexter, but quickly denied it. If Dexter wanted to make a move, he would just kill him directly; there was no need to go through all this trouble.
Is it one of the people I offended before?
Frank offended too many people. Thinking about it, he got a headache and couldn't figure out who it was.
Finally.
The ambulance arrived.
Frank was carried onto the ambulance.

Sheila's House.
Today, Sheila took a crucial step.
Truly feeling that today was the beginning of a new life, in a very good mood, and specially dressed up, Sheila stood behind the open front door. She took a long, deep breath, then lifted her foot, crossed the threshold, and took a very crucial step in her new life.
Sheila lifted her other foot.
Her whole body went out the door, and she smiled brilliantly.
At this time, Sheila was already counting her steps, walking out of the yard one step at a time. "Ten steps, eleven steps..."
Inside the house, Eddie, who hadn't gone to work yet, watched helplessly as Sheila really walked out. He smiled rarely. For the first time in many years, he looked at Sheila with new eyes.
Now, Sheila had taken a key step.
Deep down, Eddie actually really hoped this family could become normal, that the family of three could live like a normal family.
If Karen could change and not be so promiscuous... maybe this family could really get better.
Suddenly, Eddie felt that this family seemed to have hope, so he immediately thought of Karen.
Then, Eddie thought of himself.
In the past period, he had indeed become depraved, even abandoning his faith in God...
This won't do!
To make this family better, he had to change first!
Eddie gritted his teeth and thought of Monica again.
The taste of that crazy woman Monica was really very good; Eddie missed it quite a bit.
After missing it for a few seconds, Eddie hurriedly shook his head hard, not letting himself think about such depraved things again!
"No!" Eddie said to himself with utmost solemnity. Immediately, he pulled himself together, got up to pack his things, and went to work full of energy.
Eddie walked quickly to Sheila's side, grinned, and encouraged her. "Sheila, very good. Keep it up!"
Sheila was also very motivated, nodding with a smile. "I will!"
Eddie smiled, his tone normal but carrying warmth. "Then I'm going to work. Leave some dinner for me tonight?"
Sheila felt this warmth, and the smile on her face instantly deepened. "Okay."
Eddie left.
Sheila continued her efforts. "Twelve steps, thirteen steps..."
Everything was changing.

The Police Station.
Mandy arrived. She found Officer Jason, who was in charge of Lip's case, and said a bunch of nice things before finally getting a chance to meet Lip.
Outside the iron bars.
Seeing Lip again after more than a day, Mandy couldn't help but smile instantly. But in a blink, she couldn't smile anymore and asked worriedly, "Are you okay?"
Staying in this hellhole for a night, Lip was actually not okay; he was very angry inside.
Lip almost didn't sleep this night, silently calculating how to take revenge on Tony!
But, driven by arrogance, Lip didn't want to show his weakness to Mandy. He immediately put on a nonchalant act and replied with a tone of indifference, "I'm fine, doing great. I'm used to it."
"..." Hearing this, Mandy couldn't help but feel speechless. "What kind of nonsense are you talking? You can't get used to this kind of hellhole."
Lip couldn't stand Mandy's clingy behavior and immediately changed the subject. "How did you know I was here?"
"I called Ian, Ian told me," Mandy didn't notice anything and replied truthfully.
"So that's it," Lip had no feelings for Mandy; he just liked fxxking her. So, after saying a few simple sentences, there was actually nothing more to say.
Unfortunately, Mandy still didn't notice and proactively offered, "Is there anything I can help you with?"
There really was.
"Help me call Fiona. I told her last night to go find Tony. Don't know how it turned out," Lip said.
The fact was, Mandy knew, because before coming here, Mandy had gone to find Ian.
Therefore, hearing this, Mandy fell silent instantly. She didn't take out her phone and didn't make a sound.
Lip was indeed quite street-smart. Seeing Mandy like this, he guessed something must have happened and immediately asked, "What happened?"
Mandy hesitated slightly but didn't hide it. "I went to find Ian this morning, and Ian told me..."
Mandy recounted what she knew.
Hearing this, Lip was instantly furious and started cursing. "Motherfxxk, Tony, that son of a bitch..."
Lip cursed viciously.
To the side, Officer Jason listened, his brows slowly furrowing tight. Even though he really didn't know this kid Lip well, he genuinely started to despise him.
Driven by disgust, Jason suddenly spoke up, barking, "Keep your mouth clean!"
Being yelled at, Lip snapped his head around, glaring ferociously at Jason. His temper flared up, and he almost cursed at Jason!
Fortunately, the words reached his lips, but he held back.
Lip didn't curse. He withdrew his gaze, turned back to Mandy, and hurriedly forced himself to calm down, his thoughts racing!
Tony was actually this ruthless, arresting even Monica and humiliating Fiona severely...
In this case, to avoid juvie... relying on Tony was impossible. He absolutely needed a lawyer...
"Mandy, call Fiona later. Tell her there's money under the desk in my room. Tell her to hire a good lawyer for me," Lip really didn't want to go back to juvie, so he instructed Mandy.
"Okay!" Mandy nodded heavily in agreement.
The two said a few more casual words.
Time was up.
Mandy left.
Lip sat back on the cold bench, becoming even more agitated.
At the same time.
In the Police Station, inside the temporary holding cell for women.
Monica was also very agitated. She was shouting Tony's name and cursing, completely unaware that her period was already several days late.
