Bob's pov
"What could you possibly want to tell me bastard,I have barely known you for a week and you have done me nothing but harm,now will you please leave my office!" Mr Richard thundered.
He was furious,who wouldn't be,but the conversation I had with William on friday at the club kept replaying in my mind...
"Sir,your son William wants you dead_"
"What the heck are you talking about?" His tone changed,he was still angry but I could tell from the change of his facial expression that he somewhat believed what I was saying.
"He approached me at the club on Friday and asked why you demanded for a private meeting me,he also threatened to fire me for working at a gay club,so I had to tell him that we have history,all he did today was part of his plan to torment you" I am explained
"Is that so,you mean to tell me that you kissing him at the club on Friday was also part of the said plot to torment or kill me?" He asked in disbelief.
"The kiss just happened,one thing led to another and we found ourselves intimate,but all I can say is that , everything for sure happened in his favor,it propelled his plans"
"Hmm,well that doesn't surprise me,it's only a little of what he can do to become an executive partner,...but hold on,why are you telling me this?"
I was not surprised he asked, anyone would be curious as to why I'm betraying Williams, besides,his plan favors me and my ambitions.
"Because I love you sir"
He let out a very loud laugh," Never in my life have I heard that a whore falls in love,don't try to be cute now,I know you're looking for a sugar daddy, but it's bit gonna be me,not again" he said mockingly
I was taken aback,I might not love him but I certainly cared about him.
"Now, you'll have to do something for me ....,since William wants to play games, I'll show him why I'm the chest master,... you'll stick with whatever plan William comes up with but you'll relay everything to me, word for word,did I make myself clear Bob?". He was totally ignorant or rather unbothered about how I felt after he sidelined my confession,but I do understand his feelings though,he was clearly hurt.
"Yes sir"
"Now please leave my office,I'll speak to you later" he ordered.
I headed to my office,it was my first day of work afterall,I just can't believe it. I'm now an associate at Baxter and Halley.I walked into my well furnished office,the office decor was adorned with Italian furniture making the office room look exquisite.
I was deep into smoking in the beauty of my office when the door was immediately pushed open and a bald man dressed in a brown cashmere suit walked in ,his tucked in shirt almost escaping his trousers because of his enormous belly.
"Well,well,well,if it isn't the celebrity new lawyer" he said mockingly.
"Who are you and how might I help you please?" I tried so hard not to be rude .
"Ohh my, the boy has some nerves,....well where are my manners,my name is Lawrence,the partner in charge of mergers and acquisitions and you'll be working under me" one could smell the pride smeared over him
'What the hell is wrong with everyone in this office? They all seem to have an attitude problem,' I thought to myself.
"I'm very sorry sir,my name is Bob,do you need me for anything?"
"Yeah,get me all the necessary information about Dominion Pharmaceutical and meet me at board room two in an hour,we are having a pitch" he said and stormed out of the office banging the door on my face .

"Hey boy let me see what you have?" Lawrence asked immediately as I stepped into the board room.
William was sitting across the table and he smiled immediately his eyes met mine.
"Dummy, I'm talking to you" Lawrence said, snatching the document I had in my hand.
He skimmed through it "you're doing the pitch" he said barely looking at me
"Sir?!"
" I said you're doing the pitch" he reiterated,..I wanted to protest against such impromptu assignment,it felt as if it was designed for me to fail,but before I could say a word ,our clients walked into the building.
I looked at William,my eyes pleading for help,but for some reason,he seemed in on it,he kept smiling,not a smile that exudes the expectation of downfall but that of encouragement .
It was then that it dawned on me,all this was Williams' idea,and if that's the case I must make him proud.

"Mr William,who is this lawyer of yours,he seems new,I have not met him before" Mr Xing ,the CEO of Dominion Pharmaceutical asked.
"He is our newest hire,but I assure you,he is good at his job ,you have nothing to worry about" William was tense,did Mr Xing not like my presentation?
"I'm sure he is ,I want to communicate with him directly with regards to this case,if you can do that ,then we have a deal" Mr Xing replied as he let out a loud laugh,he had kept a blank expression on face all through the pitch,no one was quite sure whether he was impressed or disappointed.
The air in the room changed, everyone's face lit up,as the proper parties signed the documents and exchanged handshakes.
I returned to my office happy,I always knew Baxter and Halley was the place for me and I just proved it to myself.
"Ohh,I see the devil is celebrating his victory" Lawrence said sarcastically as he barged into my office.
"Sorry sir "
"Spare me that,I know what you're and I promise to expose you to whomever hired you,just take me word for it " He said before leaving the office.
