Chapter 153 - Want to Give You the Best

After all that commotion...

Bonanus said goodbye to Diona and left with Noelle. They had been there long enough. Any longer and mushrooms might have started growing on their heads.

---

Leaving Cat's Tail Tavern

"It's already evening without me noticing. Time really flies." Bonanus stretched slightly and looked up at the darkening sky.

"Yes. I didn't expect it to get dark so fast either. Maybe I was too absorbed in Genius Invokation." Noelle scratched her head apologetically. That really wasn't a good habit.

"Luckily, there's still some time before the party starts. We're not late." Noelle smiled.

"Yes. By the way, Noelle, where did you choose for the party location?" Bonanus asked curiously.

"At the Angel's Share. We booked the whole place." Noelle clapped her hands in response. The Angel's Share was spacious and perfect for parties.

What? They booked the whole Angel's Share? That must have cost a lot of Mora. That was Diluc's territory.

And with so many people drinking there, booking the whole place was no small feat. Was Noelle secretly a rich lady?

"You guys really have money. You even managed to book that place." Bonanus said, surprised.

Noelle just shook her head. They didn't have that much Mora to book the Angel's Share. They didn't have money, but they had connections.

"It's not like that. I asked Senior Kaeya where we could hold a party easily. Even though I'm from Mondstadt, I didn't really know where to go."

"After hearing me out, Senior Kaeya went straight to Mr. Diluc. I didn't think he would succeed. Their relationship is a bit complicated. Most of the Knights know about it."

"I didn't expect it to actually work. I wonder what Senior Kaeya said to Mr. Diluc." Noelle touched her lower lip. Senior Kaeya was truly amazing.

If Bonanus had been surprised before about Noelle booking the Angel's Share, hearing that Kaeya was behind it made perfect sense.

Yes, that was very reasonable.

"Who did you invite, Noelle?" Bonanus nodded.

Noelle rubbed her chin and thought for a moment. She was recalling everyone she had invited throughout the day.

"Hmm... I invited Master Jean, and the seniors who have been kind to me in the Knights. Plus some friends from the church and some adventurer friends. Quite a few people, actually."

"But I'm not sure if they'll all come. Some are on missions. Others are out gathering materials."

"For example, Amber and Eula. They're on missions."

"Master Jean has a lot on her plate. She might not make it either. The friends from the church are also busy today. I just hope enough people show up."

As she said this, Noelle lowered her head slightly. She was really worried no one would come. It didn't matter to her, but she didn't want Sister Fashui to be sad.

"If no one shows up, I hope you won't be upset, Sister." Noelle said with concern.

"Don't be like that. Even if no one comes, I still have you by my side. We can still have fun together."

"Besides, with all that delicious meat, the ones missing out are them, not us." Bonanus gently patted Noelle's head. Noelle was always thinking of others.

This party was just something casual anyway. Bonanus hadn't thought too much about it. Even if no one showed up, it didn't matter. As long as her good sister was with her.

"I'm glad you think that way." Noelle nodded in relief. But she was still a little worried.

"I have a feeling there will definitely be a certain green guy at this party."

Bonanus put her hands on her hips. Yes, she was talking about Venti. He wasn't just a slacker, he was a freeloader too.

"Green guy?" Noelle tilted her head. Did that mean someone wearing green clothes? The adventurers' uniforms were all green, weren't they?

Who could it be?

"Just a certain bard. A bard who really loves to drink." Bonanus explained casually.

Noelle rubbed her cheek and thought for a moment. She quickly came up with an answer.

"Bard... hmm... I think you mean that young bard named Venti."

"You know him?" Bonanus looked at Noelle.

"Not really. But I've seen him passed out drunk on the street late at night before. I helped him get home and cleaned up his messy room." Noelle replied.

Venti getting drunk and passing out on the street wasn't a one-time thing. Noelle would run into him once or twice every month.

"But that young bard is very mischievous. He likes jumping in puddles when it rains. Sometimes he plays pranks too. And he loves picking apples."

"I have to admit, Venti is very skilled at being a bard. His voice is magnetic, and the stories he tells are wonderful."

As she said this, Noelle recalled the times she had listened to Venti perform in front of Barbatos's statue.

That feeling was wonderful. It was like truly meeting Lord Barbatos himself. Very sacred.

"You seem to know him very well." Bonanus linked her arm through Noelle's and pinched her waist lightly.

"Ah! Sister! That tickles... Ahem, I know about him because he's very active in Mondstadt. And he has a Vision." Noelle said, her face red. The spot her sister pinched was really sensitive.

"Noelle, this is your weak spot too! Let me pinch you more so you get used to it. A good knight must overcome their weaknesses." Bonanus made a very evil face, like a big pervert about to eat a child.

"No! Sister, wait! Don't... no! Help!" Noelle struggled with all her might. She was usually incredibly strong, but now she was weak and helpless.

---

The two girls walked along the busy streets, playfully messing around with each other. They were having a great time.

Passersby didn't find it strange. Friends who were close often acted like this. They had done the same when they were younger.

"Phew... we're almost there. I had the chefs turn the wild boar meat into dishes. I can't wait." Noelle was slightly out of breath after being teased by Bonanus.

She didn't know what kind of magic her sister had, but she always seemed to lose all her strength around her.

"Me too. But remember to eat in moderation. If you get fat, Noelle won't be cute anymore." Bonanus gestured in front of her face with a teasing tone.

"I won't. Besides the meat dishes, I also asked the chefs to make some vegetables. We need balanced nutrition. I prepared a lot of things."

"And Sister, that kind of teasing doesn't work on me anymore." Noelle put her hands on her hips, saying she had developed some immunity.

"Sometimes thinking too much about everything can make things less exciting." Bonanus muttered quietly.

"I want to give you a party without any worries." Noelle gave a calm smile. She didn't know when her sister would leave Mondstadt and return to Liyue Harbor.

So she wanted to give her the best experience possible.

She just hoped that when the day came, she wouldn't be too sad or lose sleep over it.
