There was a knock on the door of the Defense Against the Dark Arts office.
Professor Brod opened the door, looked at Albert outside, and asked in confusion, "Albert, is the Apparition class over?"
"Not yet, there's something I'd like to ask you."
"What is it?" Professor Brod noticed the anxious look on Albert's face and asked.
"I want to experience what it feels like to use Phantom Manifestation," Albert said, taking a deep breath and stating his purpose.
"Why would you have such an idea?" McDougal looked up from the parchment and at Albert, who had entered the room.
"Perhaps you are right, I am wasting time on Apparition, but I still want to experience what it feels like to use Apparition." Albert hesitated for a moment, then continued, "I have temporarily given up on the idea of learning it in a short time."
A brief silence fell over the office as Professor Brod and McDougal exchanged bewildered glances. They had never imagined that Albert would attempt to master Apparition.
"Using Apparition at first isn't comfortable; it can even feel terrible. Some people can't get used to it and give up on learning Apparition. Are you sure you want to try it?" Professor Brod asked.
"Yes, I'm sure." Albert knew the other party had agreed. If doing this still couldn't grant him the ability to Apparition, then he should give up for the time being.
"Albert, there's something you need to understand." McDoug's expression suddenly turned serious. "Absolutely, absolutely not, are you allowed to secretly practice Apparition, understand?"
Albert nodded, indicating that he would not do that.
"That's good." McDougal nodded in satisfaction. "Come with me. Hogwarts doesn't allow Apparition."
"No need, I'll take Albert to experience Apparition. But before that, you need to understand some things." Professor Broad began to explain Apparition to Albert.
"Apparition is actually divided into two parts: Apparate and Appearance. First, you need to use Apparate to make yourself disappear from your original position, and then use Appearance to appear from the desired position. Apparition itself is an extremely profound magic, which is why it is only allowed to be tested after adulthood."
"The distance of Apparition is limited, and the difficulty increases as the distance of Apparition increases. When Apparition is used, the wizard needs to have a good understanding of the destination. If the distance is too long, it may result in splitting, serious injury or even death."
"I will guide you through Follower Apparition, which is a type of Apparition. It refers to someone who knows Apparition using it with someone who doesn't."
Albert nodded to indicate that he had remembered.
The two left the office together, passed through the foyer, walked down the stone steps, and headed out of the castle.
The Apparition class in the hall was still going on, and many older students were still practicing hard. Albert was different from them; once he learned the Apparition skill, he wouldn't have to worry about that.
"Hogwarts doesn't allow Apparition, so we have to leave this area. Normally, we can just go into the woods." Professor Broad knew that Albert wouldn't want to experience Apparition in the Great Hall.
Therefore, the best option at present is the Forbidden Forest.
The two quietly arrived at the Forbidden Forest, where it was very quiet and no one would disturb them.
"Grab my wrist and don't let go," Professor Brod warned. "I'm going to Apparate you to an open area a few feet away. Let's begin!"
Albert found himself suddenly plunged into complete darkness, with a strong sense of compression coming from all directions. At that moment, Albert felt as if he were being compressed by an invisible force, his eyes being forced back into his skull, as if he were being stuffed into a narrow rubber tube and about to be squeezed out.
It was all over. Albert took deep breaths of fresh air as he and Professor Brod appeared in an open space a few feet away.
"I feel like throwing up." Albert covered his mouth, forcibly suppressing the nausea rising in his stomach. Soon, he ran to a tree and began to dry heave.
Professor Brod looked at Albert, who was leaning against a tree trunk and vomiting, and comforted him, saying, "You need to get used to this feeling gradually."
"It feels awful!" Albert muttered, but he quickly cheered up because the skill panel actually showed a phantom appearance.
When you're in a good mood, you have more energy, and some of your negative emotions are gradually overcome.
"Now you know why we didn't let you experience Apparition too early?" Professor Brod shook his head.
"Do most wizards apparite with their children?" Albert found it hard to believe. It would be a disaster for a child, especially since his tolerance was much higher than others.
"No, parents usually don't do that," Professor Brod shook his head. "Generally, they use simpler methods, such as Floo Powder."
"I will absolutely not try to practice this spell haphazardly again," Albert muttered.
"Very wise." Professor Brod was pleased with Albert's self-awareness.
However, he didn't know that Albert certainly didn't need to try to practice Apparition, because he had already mastered it.
If there's a real need, Albert will upgrade the spell to level 2 directly.
"Albert, are you trying to sneak into the woods too?" Albert was caught by an enraged Hagrid as soon as he stepped out of the forest.
"Professor Brod, what are you doing here?"
"Well, Mr. Anderson and I came to the outskirts of the woods to conduct some magical tests," Professor Brod explained casually.
"Oh, I see."
Despite Professor Broad's explanation, Hagrid still looked at Albert with some suspicion and couldn't help but complain, "Lately, the Weasley twins have been going into the woods all the time, it's driving me crazy. I remember you two get along well, you should remind them not to do anything foolish, the deep woods are not safe at all."
"Ahem, I understand," Albert coughed and quickly assured him.
In fact, Albert knew that he couldn't stop the Weasley brothers' adventure in the Forbidden Forest.
After bidding farewell to Hagrid, the two continued walking towards the castle. On the way, Professor Broad suddenly remembered something, "I've heard that there's a breeding ground for giant eight-eyed spiders in England, and it's very likely in the Forbidden Forest."
"An eight-eyed giant spider?"
"Once, a wizard tried to find the breeding grounds of the eight-eyed giant spiders. Later, he disappeared deep in the Forbidden Forest," Professor Brod said, frowning slightly. "Those creatures are dangerous."
The small book-reading platform that book lovers used before is no longer available; now they are mostly using the Mimi Reading app.
Albert gave a noncommittal "oh," knowing what Professor Broad was referring to about the breeding base—it was all Hagrid's fault.
