Chapter 105 - rumor maker

Slytherin's humiliating defeat became a topic of conversation among Hogwarts students after dinner. The unfortunate substitute goalkeeper, Vicki Avery, was a subject of much amusement, even though Madam Pomfrey had already fixed his knocked-out tooth. Students from other houses, upon seeing him, would always recall the saying circulating in Gryffindor: "He knocked his tooth out by bumping into my elbow."

No one really cared how much of Albert's words were true; they just laughed at little Avery for getting what he deserved by knocking out his own teeth.

They mocked simply because they disliked it.

At least, that's what Albert thought; otherwise, even he himself couldn't find any humor in that line.

This really helped him solidify his hated status, to the point that even the panel quest popped up.

Albert didn't seem to care much, because after the match between Gryffindor and Slytherin, the tension between the two teams had only intensified.

The atmosphere between the two houses was extremely tense, to the point where a conflict could erupt at any moment.

In the corridor, minor squabbles often occurred, which infuriated Filch to the point of a smirk. Recently, the number of violators had risen sharply, and he had used up his small roll of parchment.

In the end, it indeed escalated into a very serious incident.

Several Slytherin students blocked Mark and were about to attack when several Gryffindor students "happened" to pass by and got involved in the chaos.

It ended with a Gryffindor student growing strange scales on his face and a Slytherin having leeks sprouting from his nose.

Professor McGonagall was furious when she found out, and both Gryffindor and Slytherin had a lot of points deducted.

Now, one is back at the bottom, and the other is second to last.

Of course, quite a few Slytherin students did try to cause trouble for Albert, after all, being defeated by a freshman from Muggle was a disgrace to them.

However, the Slytherin students had very few opportunities. Some people tried to trip Albert by sticking their legs out in the corridor. However, one of them got stepped on and went straight to the school hospital, while another got kicked in the shin and cried tears of pain on the spot.

What angered them the most was that the freshman would always look at him with a helpless expression and say in a very calm tone: Are you okay? Why is your leg sticking out?

In short, it means I'm innocent and harmless, and it's all your fault.

This is undeniable, because it's like you stick your leg out to trip someone, and end up getting hurt.

As for containment?

Albert was always surrounded by three friends and was rarely alone. Even when he was alone, he was usually in the library.

This guy was very patient; he lay in ambush outside the library for a long time, but no one came out of the library.

However, that's not the worst part.

Not long ago, a third-year Slytherin student thought he had found an opportunity to follow Albert into the boys' washroom, only to be discovered that he had slipped and fallen in the water and even passed out.

Of course, there's always more than one person with ulterior motives.

George walked alone down the empty second-floor corridor, not far from where there was an abandoned women's restroom.

He hummed a little tune, seemingly unaware that someone was following him. The fifth-year Slytherin student was secretly pulling his wand from his robes, preparing to use a curse to teach George a lesson.

However, when he raised his wand, he found that the freshman walking in front of him turned around and was actually smiling at him.

Before the unfortunate fellow could even react and figure out what was happening, a slight sound suddenly came from behind him.

He collapsed to the ground, unconscious!

These were the last words he heard before he collapsed.

After being struck by the Stunning Curse, he collapsed to the ground and passed out.

"Another troublemaker!" George stepped forward, kicked the other man in the body with his toe, and grinned, "Well, you didn't expect that, did you? I have help here."

"Enough with the nonsense, carry it into the women's restroom, we're going to give everyone a surprise."

A few minutes later, several younger Hufflepuff girls passed by the entrance to the girls' restroom and saw a figure whose head was covered by a robe that had been lifted up.

The person was crouching at the door of the women's restroom, with half of their body inside, and their hands were making a climbing motion, seemingly trying to climb out of the women's restroom.

Hearing the commotion, Filch rushed over and saw a large puddle of water in the corridor. His facial muscles twitched involuntarily.

Did I... fall down on my own?

So, what was a boy doing barging into the women's restroom? What did he see, and why did he scramble out in such a disheveled state?

The girls had incredibly vivid imaginations. Before Filch even had two passing students lift the soaking wet, unfortunate guy off the ground and take him to the school clinic, a whole host of guesses had already popped into their heads.

Albert's group of four, who happened to be passing by, witnessed this scene and were so frustrated by their suppressed laughter that their ribs ached.

Why did that Slytherin student flee the women's restroom in such a disheveled state?

The girls who were the first to discover it used their imaginations to speculate on why the boy had broken into the abandoned women's restroom and why he had fled from it in such a disheveled state.

"Next time, if anyone dares to cause us trouble again, then…" Fred made a shoveling motion, "and shove their head into the toilet."

"Some jokes shouldn't be taken too far." Albert tried hard not to laugh too loudly, but still reminded him, "However, next time you run into them, just knock them out and stuff them into a stall in the women's restroom. I'm sure the girls won't let him off easily."

By the way, the reading app I've been using recently, [Mimi Reading app], has a wide selection of books, a comprehensive library, and fast updates!

"That's a great idea!" George winked. "I'm suddenly looking forward to it."

"They must have been on guard."

"Definitely. However, I don't think they'd ever guess that you know how to use the Disillusionment Charm." Lee Jordan pointed out their greatest advantage: the Slytherin students had completely underestimated Albert's abilities.

Because of the Disillusionment Charm, they never imagined that someone would be hiding behind them waiting to ambush them. Moreover, Albert could also use the Stunning Charm, which could easily knock people down.

Although some suspected Albert was behind it, they quickly ruled them out. After all, even the most talented Muggle wizard couldn't possibly master so much magic in such a short time.

As for the people around Albert, it's highly unlikely that they could master the Stunning Charm; there are few precedents even in Slytherin.

So, in the end, the blame was shifted to the upperclassmen of Gryffindor.

After all, Mark and his friends have precedents!
