Chapter 22 - Chapter 22: The Hidden Omega had been revealed.

******

The Goddess turned to the three remaining Alpha Kings Cain, Ronan, and Thaddeus.

"And you three. What will you choose?"

Cain was the first to speak, his expression calculating even while kneeling.

"If the old order is ending... I want to be part of the new one."

"Liar," the Goddess said mildly. "You want to control the new one."

Cain's face flushed.

"I will give you one chance," the Goddess continued. "Return to your territory. Reflect on what kind of Alpha you wish to be. If you choose to embrace the coming changes, you may find a place in the new world."

Her eyes hardened.

"If you choose to fight them if you ever threaten Seraphine or Kael again I will strip you of your Alpha status myself and cast you out as a rogue."

Cain bowed lower. "I understand, Goddess."

He shifted and retreated, his army following in stunned silence.

Ronan stood slowly, his scarred face thoughtful.

"I came here for a fight," he said gruffly. "But I'm not fool enough to fight you."

He looked at Seraphine, then at Kael.

"I don't understand this new world you're building. But..." He shrugged. "I've never been attached to the old one anyway. Too many damn rules."

The Goddess actually smiled. "You may surprise yourself, Ronan Ashford. You have more capacity for growth than you realize."

Ronan snorted but bowed respectfully before shifting and leading his pack away.

That left Thaddeus.

The calculating Alpha King had been watching everything with those sharp, intelligent eyes.

"You're going to be a problem," the Goddess said to him. "Aren't you?"

Thaddeus smiled slightly. "I'm going to be careful, Goddess. There's a difference."

"Careful how?"

"Careful not to oppose you or the prophecy directly." His gaze flicked to Seraphine. "But also careful not to commit myself to a cause I don't fully understand."

The Goddess studied him for a long moment.

"Your caution will serve you well, Thaddeus Crane. But be warned neutrality will not protect you if you stand by while others suffer."

"Noted," Thaddeus said smoothly.

He bowed, shifted, and departed with his forces.

Finally, the battlefield was clear except for Moonwalk wolves and the Goddess herself.

She turned back to Seraphine and Kael, who still held each other tightly.

"You have time," she said gently. "The third trial doesn't have to happen today. Or tomorrow. It will come when you're ready."

"How will I know?" Seraphine asked.

"You'll know because you'll choose it. Consciously. Willingly."

The Goddess stepped closer, placing her hands on both their shoulders.

"But understand this, both of you: the path ahead will be difficult. The old powers will not surrender easily. There will be those who see Seraphine as a threat to be eliminated."

She looked at Kael.

"You will be tested, Ruthless King. Your capacity for change. Your willingness to rule with love instead of fear."

Then to Seraphine.

"And you, Hidden Omega, will be tested even more. Your power will grow. Your influence will spread. And you will have to decide again and again whether to use that power for domination or liberation."

She pulled back, her form beginning to shimmer.

"I cannot stay longer. My presence here has already disrupted the natural order more than I should allow."

"Wait," Seraphine said quickly. "My parents, were they..."

"Hidden Omegas like you? Yes." The Goddess's expression was sad. "They loved you very much. And they died protecting the secret of what you are."

"Will I ever remember them?"

"When you complete the third trial, all your memories will return. The blocks your mother placed will dissolve."

The Goddess was fading now, becoming translucent.

"Be brave, my children. Both of you. The world needs what you're building together."

Her final words echoed as she disappeared completely:

"And remember the prophecy speaks of crowning or ruin. Choose love at every turn, and you'll crown not just a king, but a new era."

Then She was gone.

The divine pressure lifted.

Wolves across the battlefield gasped as they could finally breathe normally again.

Seraphine collapsed against Kael, her legs giving out from exhaustion and emotional overload.

He caught her easily, lifting her into his arms.

"I've got you," he murmured. "Always."

Around them, the Moonwalk Pack slowly began to rise, staring at their Alpha King and the omega in his arms with new understanding.

With awe.

With hope.

Darius approached cautiously, bowing low.

"My king. My... queen." He seemed to test the word, then smiled slightly. "What are your orders?"

Kael looked down at Seraphine, then back at his Beta.

"Get everyone inside. Tend to the wounded. Call a pack meeting for tonight."

"A meeting about what?"

Kael's smile was fierce and full of determination.

"About building a new world."

**Later That Night – Kael's Chambers**

Seraphine woke in Kael's bed again, but this time, she remembered getting there.

She'd fallen asleep almost immediately after he'd carried her back to his chambers, her body and mind completely overwhelmed.

Now it was dark outside, and Kael sat in a chair beside the bed, watching her with those intense silver eyes.

"How long?" she asked groggily.

"Four hours. The pack meeting is in one hour."

She started to sit up. "I should"

"Rest a little longer." His hand pressed gently on her shoulder. "You've earned it."

She settled back against the pillows.

"Kael... everything the Goddess said. About the prophecy, about changing the world"

"Is terrifying," he finished. "I know."

He moved from the chair to sit on the edge of the bed.

"But also... hopeful. For the first time since I became Alpha King, I can imagine a world where power doesn't equal dominance. Where mates are valued regardless of rank."

His hand found hers.

"Where I can love you openly without half my pack thinking it makes me weak."

"Do you?" she asked softly. "Love me?"

Kael's expression softened in a way she'd never seen.

"Yes. Desperately. Completely. In a way I didn't think I was capable of."

He lifted her hand to his lips, pressing a kiss to her knuckles.

"I fought it at first. Told myself it was just obsession or curiosity. But watching you almost sacrifice yourself today watching Fenrir take you"

His voice cracked slightly.

"I've never been that terrified. Not in battle. Not facing down rival Alphas. Nothing compares to the fear of losing you."

Seraphine's eyes filled with tears.

"I love you too," she whispered. "I tried not to. Tried to tell myself you were just my captor, my obsession. But"

"But I was always more," Kael finished.

"Yes."

He leaned down, pressing his forehead to hers.

"The Goddess said we'd be tested. That the path ahead would be difficult."

"I know."

"Are you ready for that? For everything that's coming?"

Seraphine thought about the prophecy. About the trials. About becoming someone she didn't fully understand yet.

It was terrifying.

But looking into Kael's eyes, feeling the strength of the bond between them

"With you beside me?" she said. "I'm ready for anything."

Kael's smile was brilliant and full of love.

"Then let's go change the world, my queen."

He kissed her then soft and deep and full of promise.

When they finally pulled apart, both breathless, Seraphine smiled.

"We should probably get ready for that meeting."

"Probably," Kael agreed, but made no move to leave.

They stayed like that for a few more precious moments, holding each other, preparing themselves for whatever came next.

Outside, the Moonwalk Pack gathered.

Beyond the borders, the werewolf world was already beginning to hear whispers of what had happened today.

The Moon Goddess had manifested.

The Hidden Omega had been revealed.

The prophecy was awakening.

And nothing would ever be the same.

But in that moment, in Kael's chambers, two souls who'd found each other against impossible odds allowed themselves one perfect moment of peace.

Before the real work began.
