Chapter 101: Dragging Out the Three-Tails
Hearing Hinata's call, Naruto stopped and exhaled.
Hinata ran toward Naruto. Her soft, delicate body threw itself onto him, hugging him gently.
"Naruto."
Feeling her warmth, Naruto didn't move away. He turned gently and hugged the girl comfortingly.
It had been hard for her to see Naruto again. Hinata couldn't hide the excitement in her heart. She held him tightly.

This brown-haired woman was Terumi Mei.
Seeing her, Kakashi and Kurenai were stunned. They were shocked. Both of them recognized Terumi Mei.
Kakashi said in astonishment:
"The Fifth Mizukage of the Mist Village! Why are you here?"
Hearing him call out her identity, Terumi Mei wasn't surprised. She smiled softly, glanced at Naruto—who had just been embracing Hinata—and said:
"Why can't I be here? The Three-Tails is my Mist Village's tailed beast. And Naruto is mine too. So it's not surprising that I'm here."
As soon as Terumi Mei finished speaking, Kakashi and the others fell into shock again. Even Sakura and Hinata looked at Terumi Mei and Naruto in disbelief. They looked at each other, all seeing the same incredulity in each other's eyes.

"You... what did you say? Naruto is your man?" Kurenai looked at Terumi Mei in disbelief.

Between her words, Terumi Mei made no effort to hide her mockery of Konoha. Kakashi and the others felt even more embarrassed. It was as if she was saying they had no sense.
Then Kakashi quickly looked at Naruto and asked suspiciously:
"Naruto, what's going on?"
Naruto looked at Terumi Mei helplessly. He knew she was marking her territory and announcing her claim to Kakashi.
Before Naruto could speak, Terumi Mei stopped in front of him. She glanced at Kakashi and said:
"What's going on? Naruto is my people now. And you Konoha people are getting so close to my Mist Village people. I should be asking what's going on here."
With that, Terumi Mei shot Naruto a hard look, as if jealous. Actually, she wasn't really jealous. It was just that things had turned out unexpectedly.
At the beginning, she had told Naruto they would run into Konoha people here while trying to capture the Three-Tails. Seeing Naruto's reaction, she had thought he would do something to Konoha. But not only did Naruto not attack Konoha's people, he had actually saved them from the Akatsuki. That was beyond her expectations.
Kakashi and Kurenai looked at Terumi Mei and Naruto in shock. They couldn't believe what she was saying.
Seeing that Terumi Mei had laid it all out, Naruto couldn't explain anything. He just smiled helplessly.
Then Terumi Mei deliberately looked deeply at Hinata. After staring at her for a while, she looked at Naruto playfully again and teased:
"Is that your little girlfriend? So you like this type. She has a good figure."
Naruto smiled awkwardly. After hearing Terumi Mei's words, Hinata's face flushed instantly. She lowered her head in embarrassment.
After talking for a while, Terumi Mei turned back to business. She said seriously:

Naruto nodded.
Everyone walked to the edge of the lake where the Three-Tails was hiding. At that moment, the surface of the huge lake was very calm. Ripples spread across the water, as if the fierce battle just now hadn't affected this place at all.
After reaching the lake, Kakashi and Kurenai frowned as they looked at the calm water. They had fought so fiercely just now, yet the Three-Tails hadn't been drawn out. It hadn't shown any sign of appearing. They couldn't help wondering—was the Three-Tails really in this lake?
Terumi Mei was certain of it. She knew the Three-Tails was in the lake. Even though the battle by the lake had been fierce, the Three-Tails was lurking under the water, motionless, not wanting to be noticed.
Then Terumi Mei looked seriously at the lake and said:
"It's here. The Three-Tails should be underwater. It hasn't come out yet. Should we wait here?"
Naruto exhaled and shook his head. He looked calmly at the lake and said lightly:
"No need."
"Since the Three-Tails won't come out, I'll 'ask' him to come out."
