Chapter 8 - chapter 8

Alexander closed his eyes, his mind wandering to the first time he'd meet his little fiancee, a little omega, with his shining platinum hair and hazel eyes, that seemed as serene as the untouched forests, the little perfect manufactured smile that danced on his sakura pink lips as he greeted all the people approaching the briar family, he knew the omega was being trained just for him, how could he not, after all the briar family, was trying to make a connection with them from his alpha father's generation, this was just their latest try, and maybe he might let them succeed this time, of course their success had nothing to do with the little omega, he was just the tool alex was going to use to get something he wanted, the briar's pathetic desperation just made his life easier.

It was a cold night, alex stood on the balcony, in the shadows, a perfect place to observe all the people down stairs, chating, dancing and making merry, he could also see, marcus and mariah briar taking to the cooper's and with them stood a young man, smiling and quiet like a doll, but this person was of no concern to him, his eyes wandered, to his fiancee standing near a refreshments' table, seemed to be taller than most omegas or alpha's for that matter, maybe as tall as alex, but he looked small as he did not seem to have a muscle on his body, so thin, was the briar family starving Iren briar, he though as he made his way down the stairs and towards his mother, the crowd parted like the sea, even though they eyes remained stuck on him like greedy little maggot, alexander remained unfazed, he was already used to it.

"mother was this really necessary?", he whispered in his mother's ears as he greeted her, she gave him a sly smile as she questioned, "is my anniversary not worth celebrating to you"

"of course, it is, happy anniversary." he said, but in his mind he already knew the truth.

"duh dumbass, she just wanted your stubborn as to meet your fiancée, whom you agreed to marry 2 years ago, but refused to meet like a asshole", his younger brother said whilst rolling his eyes whilst hiding behind mother, alex smiled, and contemplated k.oing his brother, who acted like a teenager at the ripe old age of 28, but it was the truth that they had yet to meet. As for why he did not want to? simply because he didn't have to, he was in Qlusi for approximately 4 years now, running back home just to see someone who'd left him without a word, felt like a waste of his time.

"calix, stop being rude to you older brother!" elena childed her youngest lightly, for saying the truth she'd rather hide, but she'd hoped her middle child who frowned at the thought of marriage, but had uncharacteristically agreed to marry would at least meet, his partner to be, "-and your alex, better meet, your Future partner." she looked at alex with stern eyes.

"i will mother" alex said with a little bow of his head. meanwhile, his father and older sister, neared their table before alex could say something rude to cal. his father, Arthur moved to his mother's side, she smiled as she fixed his teal pocket square, that matched her gown. his sister eileen, had a flute of champagne in left hand, and her phone in her right hand, which she checked out constantly.

alex smiled cunningly as he said, "sister, you seem distracted, did something happen."

she looked up from the phone, her blue eyes warning him sharply, to stay out of her business, "it's nothing," she said, "you are late though, it is already 10 pm, you are the one who seems to need the help." she said clearly trying to divert the topic. interesting, alex now wanted to annoy her into spilling her secrets.

"ahem!", their father intervened before, the matter could be escalated an further. "do not start fighting now!" he said, he eyes narrowed one second and then roamed to his wife's face asking for approval the next. their kids groaned their parents lovey dovey attitude made them want to runway from their vicinity.

" Anyways! now that you are here, you must go and meet little liliy", he's mother stated in a stern voice and his father quickly imitated her expression and sho-ed him and his siblings off as he lead her to the dance floor. little liliy?

"brother! do you need tips, on how to woe omega," calix teased him as threw his arm around alex's shoulder, "i could give you some solid tips for the minimal price of investing in just two of my movies" he continued. he really wanted to punch this bastard that looked just like him,

alex looked at his silly brother, sideways, who have though that this numbskull was the famous director-producer known for killer box-office. alex looked him in the eye and chuckled, "are you tempting me to bankrupt your little company?"

calix gasped, "wow, what a rude, forever single loveless demon, tsk !" he said in a single breath and directly ran away. this bastard, alex though a single vein popping in his forehead and hands balled into a fist this little shit was really asking for it he thought.

He turned to his sister and smiled threateningly do you also want to take a dig at me, she looked at him and signed, "i don't know what's going in your mind, but don't use your marriage, for stupid things, you"ll regret it, maybe, if you wait for a year more you"ll turn into a wizard" she smirked and patted his back before she followed calix.

a wizard? alex questioned his sister's sanity and questioned her ability to be Hayes agro corp.

alexander's eyes roamed around the crowd, trying to relocate his fiancee, the thought of meeting another omega or other greedy people annoyed him, he's had enough of them clinging to his coattail as is, but iren was different, they were practically inseparable since they meet till iren decided to throw him away.
