Chapter 7 - Notice

First of all, I want to say that I'm sorry to the people who found this story interesting and added it to their collection, because I'm planning to drop this story.

This is the first time I've ever written a story, and I wrote it while I was preparing for my exams. I was too lazy to study, so I ended up reading Spider-Man fanfiction for some reason. I didn't really like most of them. There were some good ones like MCU Spider-Man, Spider-Man: Mayhem, and some other SI Spider-Man stories, but they didn't fully satisfy me. So I decided to create my own reincarnated Spider-Man story, where the main character gradually remembers what happens in the original storyline.

Here are some of the plots I created:

About the romance:

From the beginning, I planned to make Gwen the sole romantic interest (yes, Spider-Man was supposed to save her from her tragic fate). MJ would have feelings for Peter, and I even planned an entire love triangle plot. As for Felicia (Black Cat), I didn't originally want her to be a love interest, but I eventually thought of a plot where she falls for Peter, and Peter kind of likes her too. However, he would be too devoted to Gwen, so he would choose not to accept Felicia's love. In the end, Peter would stay with Gwen and eventually marry her.

About the origin of the MC:

The MC was a smart guy in his past life. He was one of the top students and eventually became an engineer and scientist. However, during his journey to achieve his goals, his mother died. This affected him deeply, causing him to close his heart and become antisocial for an entire year in college. This led to him breaking up with his girlfriend. This backstory was meant to make it difficult for him to build relationships after reincarnation, which would lead to Gwen misunderstanding Peter and thinking he didn't like her. Basically, his past life existed to explain why he was smart, emotionally distant, and aware of the story beforehand.

The main plot:

I actually thought this part through carefully and didn't want to forget it, so I wrote it in a notebook—but I ended up losing the notebook. From what I remember, his reincarnation was supposed to be a mistake. Because of that mistake, reality in his universe would start glitching. The glitches would gradually get worse over time.

The MC would eventually discover that the glitches were connected to people who had cosmic-related powers. Anyone near the people with cosmic power would be affected. This would lead to the MC hunting down all individuals with cosmic powers and erasing their abilities. In the end, he would even erase his own powers to prevent the destruction of the world.

The spider that bit Peter wasn't originally meant to have cosmic powers. However, during the transfer of the MC's soul into the universe, the spider somehow gained cosmic powers. And it wasn't the only test subject that gained such powers.

The main villain:

I didn't think too deeply about this. The main villain was supposed to be Norman Osborn—it was pretty obvious.

The conclusion:

In the end, Peter erases the powers of everyone with cosmic energy. During this, Norman Osborn somehow dies. Harry becomes crippled after Peter removes the cosmic power from him (there was supposed to be a whole arc about Peter and Harry saving New York). Finally, Peter erases his own powers, becoming fully human again, and marries Gwen at the end.

I don't know if anyone really cared, but I just wanted to say this.

The reasons why I'm dropping this:

• Two weeks ago, I had my exams, and I did really badly—so badly that I even got negative marking.

• I'm currently working on my own original novel. I don't even have a name for it yet, but I've already written seven chapters.

• I've simply lost motivation to continue this fanfiction, and I underestimated how much research was needed to make a good fanfiction.

I hope someone might continue this work someday.

Thanks for reading my story.
