I was somehow high up in the sky with the others . Looking down , Commoner city sure is crowded . The city I grew up in was hated . No one wished to be here . Yet , most people still reside here , not cause of comfort but cause the only people who can leave the Commoner City are the ones who have the recommentation letter . And there were only three people in all of Commoner City who could write such a letter .
I observed .
Ten strangers traveling together each has their own goals and reasons . They also has connections ...obviously . Across me , a young man was standing . He looked like he was nervous and had some sort of trouble . He laughed nervously , his gaze fell towards the other people and they were all smiling . Smiling rediculously. His smile dropped .
' Ho! Look ! That's the portal , right ? ' someone asked
' Yes . Its just as we heard .' someone replied
To the young man , this was his god given chance to finally make the others drop their rediculous smiles as well .
' Just like the ' Crimson Hood ' , right ? '
That young man added with a even more wider smile . Absolutely rediculous if I were to say .
The smiles dropped . Everyone went silent . Zam looked at me with his annoying grin . Others started shouting at the young man cause of all things he had to mention the name of the walking menance of the Commoner City . He really triggered their internal fear .
' Hey ! why had you suddenly mention his name ? Just stop already ! '
' Oh I'm sorry ..'
So he said pretending to look sorry . But his intentions were as visible as the sky .
Human beings were like that . In suffering , when they see someone who's suffering even more , it relieves them . They are even worse off than what the people here call the ' Dehumon ' .
If a human lie constantly , they become a dehumon .
It starts physically .
Then mentally making one go berserk .
It was marked in my mind from the classes I got from Master .
The imperial guards will hunt them down .
Becoming one means being able to stay in the Noble City as long as one wishes . The ones who enter noble city with the recommentation letter will only be able to stay one year .
My goal that is to destroy the core of the curse will take more than 1 year without any doubt for I'm no super human or the hero of the world . I'm just a young boy who wishes to keep his family safe . But I guess just to keep mine safe I did destroy a lot other families .
I gotta become an Imperial Guard .

I was woken up from my thoughts by Zam.
' We have reached the Portal , Mr.Alhemaht.'
He added teasingly .
My hands automatically went towards my temple as always . Still...I am grateful towards him . He woke me up , kept me company...a lot more . Otherwise , I would have spend my entire day thinking .
We all stepped down to the little ground the portal had . The windionex started changing some spells on the portal . The color changed . Crimson turned into light brown .
Light brown represented Wind users .
The portal opened silently . All of us extended both our arms towards the portal as we were told . The feeling of being absorbed was all over me .
Everyone landed safely . I was no longer in the slums I grew up . Noble City . The City of delight . Zam walked alongside me .
A gate was seen , it was as large as of a mountain . Twenty Imperial Guards stood guarded in front of the Gate .
Perfectly ? Well I don't know....I don't believe in perfection .
With money and power , one was able to use the windionex and pass the portal . But the gate ? Without a recommentation letter one will have to defeat twenty Imperial Guards . No one in Commoner City would be foolish enough to do it . Try and you will be in prison .
My gaze fell upon Zam . He looked into my eyes .
' What ? '
' My recommentation letter ? '
I said as I extended my right hand . He gave it to me .
' Well yah , Papa told me all I had to do was give this to you and return home .'
' Then , do so ? .'
' I don't wanna ? '
' Then don't ? '
' I'm not gonna let my kind hearted and soft spoken friend go alone into a world of danger . am I ? '
' Well , I don' t know ? '
' Brain ! Stop answering my questions with another question . okay ? '

' Bruh ! .I actually planned on leaving at first but I'm gonna stay .'
' Don't lie . I know you and your ' Papa ' would never respect my personal space not to mention leave me alone . '
' Its not like the curse would affect me if its a harmless lie . I was teasing . Obviously to see you smile . '
He is right . The curse affects one if they use deception to make money , harm others , or to make a wrong impact .
I guess I do want him to stay . We lend our recommendation letters to the Imperial guard and after a thorough inspection .
The Imperial Captain gave a silent command . The Guards following the command saluted towards the Gate that was slowly opening . A sign of respect towards their City .
Zam was still alongside me . As always . We walked towards the gate . Emotions filled the strategic mind I had . All the things I have done to reach here . The things I might do just as we enter the gate . The people I will have to hurt . The families I will destroy . And all my future enemies who I may remember for half a day . My actions could never be justified . Understanding me is accepting I'm evil and selfish .
