Chapter 86 - Ajarn Mo Teng

Chapter 0086 Ajarn Mo Teng

Frank Fang didn't even know how the prostitute found him. Perhaps a gambler who patronized her had mentioned his name; he wasn't interested in asking. The woman's name was Parna, thirty-four years old, with a decent figure and looks. She had divorced her husband six years ago, kept the child, and lived a difficult life, eventually resorting to the sex trade. At twenty-eight, she was young and business was good, but by her thirties, things started to decline. For a normal woman, thirty-four isn't old—it can even be her prime—but for a sex worker, it's a different story. Men always look for younger women, and a woman over thirty like Parna was considered "old," leading to fewer and fewer clients.

The two met at an ice cream shop. Being around the same age, Frank Fang took an immediate liking to Parna's curvaceous and sensual build. Parna could see the lust in Frank's eyes, but she had seen it all before and didn't mind. "Mr. Frank Fang, my request is simple: help me get an amulet or a devotional item that attracts men. But it shouldn't be too expensive; I'm not a wealthy person."

Frank Fang laughed. "I have plenty of stock. Takruts, Yin Tong amulets, Affinity charms, Heart-Locking spells, or even raising a little ghost. Which one do you want?"

"Which one is cheaper?" Parna asked.

"The Takrut is the cheapest," Frank Fang replied. "5,000 Thai Baht each."

To his surprise, Parna still shook her head. "Too expensive. Is there anything cheaper?"

Frank Fang instantly lost interest. He hadn't expected her to be this broke and told her there was nothing else. Parna was crestfallen, explaining she had a child to support and could only scrape together about 3,000 Baht. Frank looked her over and suggested a "barter" in kind. Parna didn't object. After spending a few days with Frank, the deal was struck. Parna was at a "lusty" age, and Frank found himself struggling to keep up. Consequently, he visited an Ajarn Lu in Pattaya to obtain a Yin Tong Shadow amulet, which was said to enhance a man's sexual stamina.

The Price of Greed

After Parna began using the Takrut, her luck with men skyrocketed. Almost every man who visited her became a repeat customer. She became so busy that the younger, prettier "sisters" in the trade became green with envy; their regulars were all flocking to Parna. They couldn't figure out why. Eventually, one of the girls secretly asked a regular customer. The man said, "I can't put my finger on it. After one visit with Parna, I just felt she was the most beautiful and sexy woman I'd ever seen. The experience was better than anything else, and I just can't stop thinking about staying with her again. It feels strange."

The girls eventually discovered Parna was using a "Takrut" procured from Frank Fang, and they all came looking for him. However, Frank didn't accept everyone; he controlled the supply to ensure the long-term sustainability of the market.

A few months later, Frank went to visit Parna but found her home locked. A plump neighbor came out and told him that the single mother who worked as a prostitute had died, and her child had been sent to an orphanage.

Frank Fang was shocked and asked when she died and what the cause was. The neighbor curled her lip in disdain. "That woman was so low-class. These past few months, she often brought two or three men back at once for business. That night, she brought four men home. The noise was like ghosts wailing—the whole building was shaking! The neighbors couldn't sleep. In the middle of the night, she was carried out by the police. Later, I heard from a relative at the station that she was actually 'worked' to death by those four men. What a sin—losing your life and your dignity just for money!"

Walking away from Parna's apartment, Frank Fang felt a heavy knot in his stomach. Parna only wanted to make more money for her child, but now she was gone and the child was alone. It was a tragic end.

The Flying Head Curse

Despite the sadness, business had to continue. A few days later, a new opportunity arrived. A gambler approached Frank, explaining that his cousin's house was haunted.

The cousin came from a very wealthy family with several villas in Thailand. For several nights, around midnight, they would hear something thumping against the windows. When they looked, there was nothing there, but the next morning, the glass would be covered in a strange, sticky fluid. Initially, they thought it was a prank. However, late one night, the cousin's father went to the bathroom and saw a living room window standing open. A round object was floating inside. The father thought it was a child's balloon and leaned in to look, only to find it was a human head with disheveled hair. He fainted on the spot from sheer terror.

Since then, the family had been too afraid to open any windows, yet the thumping against the glass continued every midnight. The neighbors were experiencing similar phenomena, leading some to flee the area. Since it was an elite neighborhood and the family had lived there for generations, the father refused to move. They sought help from several masters, but none could solve it. They suspected a sorcerer was practicing a dangerous dark art nearby.

The gambler asked Frank if he knew a powerful Ajarn. Frank agreed immediately and went to see Master Ajarn Pong. Ajarn Pong was stunned. "Is someone actually practicing the Flying Head Curse (Krasue) here?"

"What is the Flying Head Curse?" Frank asked quickly.

"It is a high-level dark art," Ajarn Pong explained. "Only a sorcerer with a certain level of cultivation can practice it. We cannot be sure if it's a hallucination; I would need to see it with my own eyes."

Frank asked if he could fix it and for how much. Ajarn Pong shook his head. "When a sorcerer is practicing their craft, it is best for peers not to intervene. Otherwise, a blood feud is born. Either you kill him, or he kills you." Leaving Ajarn Pong's house, Frank relayed the truth to the gambler: the Master was unwilling to get involved.

The gambler pleaded, "Friend, please think of something else for my cousin. My uncle said he's willing to pay a high price to drive this ghost away!" Since Frank's primary interest was money, and the family was incredibly wealthy—owning seafood restaurants and a beach resort—he started thinking about how to get his hands on that payout.

Hiring a Mercenary

Sorcerers are common across Southeast Asia, primarily in Thailand, Malaysia, and Cambodia. Frank traveled to Cambodia, asking around for a master with exceptional skills. Through a contact, he finally found a sorcerer named Mo Teng in Siem Reap.

Master Mo Teng seemed to have a poor reputation; when Frank asked about him in his neighborhood, people refused to talk or even crossed the street to avoid him, as if the name "Mo Teng" were a virus. When Frank finally reached Mo Teng's house, he saw a man of average build with short hair and dark skin. His face and body were covered in incantation tattoos, but he seemed surprisingly affable. After chatting, Frank realized that Mo Teng shared his own passion: money. He was also a prolific killer; he had a room with a wall covered in photos of the people he had killed with curses for pay. Unlike the Ghost King of Penang, he didn't care about the scale of the job—as long as the price was high.

Frank explained the situation. Mo Teng said it was no problem, but noted that the Flying Head Curse was the most formidable of arts. Anyone practicing it must have studied the Dark Arts for many years. To resolve it meant killing the practitioner. Because of the risk and the feud involved, the price would be at least 1 million Thai Baht. He required a 100,000 Baht deposit—50,000 of which would be returned if he failed.

This was a massive sum. Frank Fang immediately called the gambler and doubled the quote to 2 million Baht, telling him to inform his uncle. A moment later, the gambler called back: the uncle agreed to pay as long as the problem was permanently solved. Frank struck a deal with Mo Teng: Frank would pay the 100,000 Baht deposit upfront, but they would secretly split the final 2 million Baht payout. Mo Teng agreed.

To show his gratitude, Master Mo Teng offered to give Frank Fang two empowered Shadow amulets. He asked what effects Frank wanted. Frank thought for a moment. "Something for wealth and protection. Also, do you have any Shadow amulets good for attracting women?"

Master Mo Teng handed him three amulets. "This is a Wealth-Attracting Spider, for fortune from all directions. This is an Indian Sea Snake, empowered with the Nine-Headed Naga King mantra for protection and avoiding danger. And this is Yin Tong Affinity Oil, to increase your charm and luck with women. These were all empowered while I was training in Northern Cambodia years ago; they are very effective. If we continue to do business together, I will give these to you as a gift." He then wrote down the Heart Mantras for him. Frank Fang was delighted, accepted them immediately, and hung them around his neck.
