Chapter 36 - Chapter 32: The Aggrieved Hidden Sand Ninja

"Then please, Hokage-sama, have someone treat me, and we'll leave immediately!" Baki said.

"Captain!" The other team members were full of confusion, but at Baki's signal, they said nothing.

"Alright, then please go to the Konoha Hospital, and I will ask medical Ninja to treat you," the Hokage nodded.

After watching the Sunagakure Ninja leave, Kakashi couldn't help but say, "Hokage-sama, there's clearly something wrong with this matter."

"Enough, Kakashi, we'll talk about this later. Don't get into any more conflicts with Ninja from other Villages if there's no need," Hiruzen Sarutobi interrupted Kakashi.

How could he not see that there was something strange about this matter? But currently, they really didn't have the energy to deal with these things.

The most important thing now was to solve the Uchiha Clan's problem; other matters could only be postponed.

As for causing dissatisfaction among the Sunagakure Ninja, let them be dissatisfied. Their matters would be dealt with after the Uchiha problem was resolved.

After Kakashi and the other two left, the Third Hokage finally sighed helplessly.

"Kakashi, do you know what's going on? What compensation is Hokage-sama talking about?" As soon as they walked out of the Hokage Building, Guy asked in confusion.

"I don't know..." Kakashi shook his head. At this moment, he also recalled the mission he and Feng had taken to the Hidden Sand Village.

Could it be... but Feng had already gone to Takigakure! Thinking of Feng, Kakashi's eyes flickered, wondering how he was doing.

With his strength, even if he couldn't win, he could still run, right? Kakashi recalled his miraculous Body Flicker Technique, almost as if Shisui had been reborn.

On the other side, a group of Sunagakure Ninja lay haphazardly on the snow-white hospital beds, each wrapped in thick white bandages.

"Captain, those Konoha guys are really going too far! They even dared to falsely claim that we were the ones who started it!" A burly Sunagakure Ninja shouted angrily.

"Exactly, Captain! Our brothers just wanted to go eat some delicious barbecue, but those Konoha bastards just attacked us without a word!" Another Sunagakure Ninja echoed, his voice filled with grievance and indignation.

"Hmph, this is Konoha Village's territory, so they can naturally twist black and white and talk nonsense as they please!" Another Sunagakure Ninja interjected indignantly.

For a time, the entire ward was filled with various complaints and curses, while Baki, as the captain, remained silent, his face terrifyingly gloomy.

Finally, he couldn't help but roar, "Everyone, shut up!" Everyone was startled by his sudden shout and immediately fell silent.

Baki slowly stood up, walked to the window, and said in a low voice to the team members behind him, "Don't you see? This is clearly a conspiracy meticulously planned by that old fox, the Third Hokage, with the aim of trying to deduct the compensation that rightfully belongs to us. Otherwise, how could things be so strange?"

After hearing Baki's words, the Sunagakure Ninja, who were already seething with anger, gritted their teeth even harder, their fists clenching with a cracking sound.

At this moment, a young and hot-blooded Sunagakure Ninja couldn't suppress the resentment in his heart and suddenly jumped up, shouting loudly, "Then we can't just swallow this injustice, can we?"

Baki turned around, coldly glanced at the impulsive young man, and said sinisterly, "Of course not, but right now, we are outnumbered, and the situation is extremely unfavorable for us. We must not act rashly or impulsively."

A suffocating atmosphere permeated the ward, and the Sunagakure Ninja were filled with indignation.

"When we go back, we'll tell the Village what happened here. Let the Kazekage-sama decide," Baki clenched his fist.

The Sunagakure Ninja nodded in agreement after hearing Baki's words, a hint of ruthlessness in their eyes.

Meanwhile, in Konoha Village, although Kakashi no longer mentioned the matter on the surface, his doubts grew stronger.

He always felt that the Sunagakure Ninja's encounter this time was not accidental, and there might be deeper reasons behind it, but the Hokage-sama had so easily put the matter aside, which made him subtly uneasy.

Within the Uchiha Clan Compound, Feng sat upright on the ground. He could roughly guess what would happen next with the Sunagakure Ninja; he had originally just wanted to see what Hiruzen Sarutobi would do.

As expected, even though it was a Ninja from his own Village, and a mission he himself had ordered to be carried out.

As soon as the Sunagakure Ninja arrived, he very decisively offered compensation. He was indeed a good Hokage of Konoha.

Feng looked towards the door. Uchiha Setsuna opened the door with an angry expression and walked over hurriedly.

"Feng, Uchiha Fugaku said Itachi would not betray the Uchiha."

Feng was not surprised; it would be strange if he believed it.

"Can you confirm his stance? If Uchiha Itachi makes a move, will he help him?"

"No! Don't worry, although he doesn't believe Itachi would betray us, he definitely won't help outsiders deal with the Uchiha!" Uchiha Setsuna answered decisively.

"Good! Great Elder, I observed Uchiha Itachi going to the Hokage Building yesterday, so it might be in the next few days," Feng said seriously.

"Then I'll immediately go gather the Ninja in the clan!" The Great Elder's heart tightened, and he said hastily.

"No, that would tip him off. I will keep an eye on Uchiha Itachi these two days, and I will notify you if there's any anomaly."

"But..."

"Don't worry, Uchiha Itachi can't defeat me," Feng said confidently.

On the outskirts of Konoha Village, in the forest,

Uchiha Itachi stood under a large tree with a cold expression.

The space in front of him suddenly began to distort, and a spiral-shaped spatial ripple appeared.

A masked man slowly emerged, with only one eye visible through his mask.

The blood-red Three-Tomoe in his eye flickered with an eerie red light, faintly revealing a powerful Chakra fluctuation.

"Uchiha Madara, I agree to join your organization," Itachi said expressionlessly, his tone as calm as still water, making it difficult to discern his true thoughts deep within.

"Oh? So you've finally made up your mind," the mysterious masked man slowly replied.

His voice was deep and hoarse, sounding like an old man who had weathered many years.

"That's right, I've thought it through. But before that, I still need to resolve the Uchiha Clan's conflict." Uchiha Itachi's words were chillingly cold, devoid of any emotion.

At the same time, his originally dark and profound eyes suddenly changed, instantly transforming into the Mangekyo Sharingan, crimson light flickering erratically, revealing a heart-stopping pressure.

"Very good! In that case, I will fully assist your actions." The masked man's figure remained still, but from his words, one could feel a strong sense of confidence and composure.

Facing the Mangekyo Sharingan displayed by Itachi, he didn't seem to show much surprise, but rather appeared confident, as if everything happening before his eyes had long been within his control.

However, Itachi did not respond to the masked man's promise.

His figure flickered, and he instantly vanished from the spot like a ghost, leaving only a silent void... Not long after Itachi turned to leave, something unexpected happened—the ground subtly trembled, and then, a strangely shaped creature, resembling a pitcher plant, slowly emerged from the soil.

The creature's appearance was extremely unique, its black and white colors distinctly separated, as if precisely divided by an invisible line.

The white half of its body displayed a texture similar to plant roots, appearing delicate and smooth.

In contrast, the black half exuded a mysterious and unfathomable quality.

"Lord Madara, this is bad! One of our White Zetsu is missing!" The strange creature said in a low voice to the masked man standing beside him.

"Hmm?" The masked man called "Madara" merely responded faintly, seemingly not too surprised. "Who was he tracking when he went missing?" he asked calmly.

"It was Uchiha Setsuna's," the creature quickly replied.

Hearing the name "Uchiha Setsuna," "Madara" was silent for a moment, then muttered thoughtfully, "Uchiha Setsuna? Could it be that he has already detected our actions?"

"Then... what should we do now?" Facing "Madara's" question, the creature seemed a bit at a loss.

"No need to worry." "Madara" gently waved his hand, his tone still as calm as water. "Even if he detects something, what can he do? He's just a trapped beast, utterly incapable of changing the bigger picture. Soon, the entire Uchiha Clan will vanish into the long river of history like fleeting clouds."

With that, "Madara's" lips curled slightly upward, revealing a subtle, cold smile.
