Chapter 3 - Library

Zamira stepped off the bus and walked straight toward the library.

The wooden shelves greeted her with a silence that felt almost alive.

The wind outside could be heard nowhere inside—only the ticking of a clock and the soft rustle of turning pages.

Holding her breath, Zamira searched for a book she had been curious about for a long time.

It was an old manuscript said to describe the connection between shadow beings and humans.

There were many books on the shelves, yet one seemed to call her.

When she reached out, a thin spine glimmered faintly between the others.

Its cover read: "The Hidden Bonds Between Jinn and Humans."

As Zamira touched the book, a strange spark tingled along her finger, stealing her breath.

She opened the cover, and the pages began to move on their own—fluttering rapidly until they settled on a specific section.

It was the chapter containing the oldest myths and laws.

> "Before the age of eighteen, a human cannot see their presence directly.

They may observe silently, leaving small signs.

But as the threshold approaches, the bond deepens—

and visibility increases."

As Zamira read these lines, something within her shifted.

Every word felt like another piece sliding into place inside the puzzle she had carried for years.

While looking down at the text, she sensed a shadow pass by.

Out of the corner of her eye, she was almost sure she saw a dark figure move.

But whenever she lifted her head fully, nothing was there.

A whisper brushed against her ear:

"You're getting closer…"

Zamira startled, yet she didn't feel fear.

Instead, a wave of curiosity surged through her.

The voice didn't sound like a threat—more like a call.

She placed the book on the table and took a deep breath.

For a moment, the entire library fell silent.

It felt as if time had paused, leaving only the unseen eyes lingering on her.

Inside, she whispered to herself:

"To feel the existence of a world no one else sees… this is the answer I've been searching for."
