Before the lightning.
Before the fear.
Before his name shook the ground.
Bandy was known for something else.
He was smart.
A bit too smart for his age.
By three, he could talk like a toddler.
By four, he could already write.
By five, he spoke clearly, choosing words instead of stumbling over them.
Many adults thought that he was some kind of prodigy that will show his powers soon.
Bandri noticed everyone's attention on Bandy but she never really envy him.
She teased him for thinking too much.
And often was the main reason, Bandy was able to enjoy his life except studies.
Bandy wasn't physically strong.
He knew that early.
Bandy often saw villains being defeated by powerful heroes, and sometimes heroes being beaten by villains. He realized that strength was a key factor in becoming a hero, and he didn't have it.
His parents made that belief easier.
They were heroes.
Renowned lightning users.
Their missions still played on old broadcasts.
Bandy watched them endlessly.
He wanted to be like them.
They believed he would be.
But nothing changed.
No spark.
No crack of thunder.
Not even an once of strength they could see in him.
Bandy went to several doctors and many trainers to help him know his powers and awaken it.
Doctors spoke to him gently, as if kindness could replace answers.
Trainers were harsher—they saw only what he lacked.
Bandy smiled through both.
At night, he sat awake, staring at his hands, wondering why they refused to become anything more.
Stories became his refuge.
History books. Old incidents. Forgotten wars.
There was one story that always excited him no matter how many times he read.
The Luminari Incident.
A battle from a thousand years ago.
A single figure standing against overwhelming evil.
He didn't have any specific power mentioned but it was believed that he could use more than one type of powers.
Just plain mastery on power.
While Bandy always admired the legends of the past, Bandri was different—she never chased after them.
She had no power either.
Only bravery and courage.
She was initially rejected by Tema because she didn't possess any extraordinary skills or powers
When Bandy got his acceptance letter due to his high potential and good intelligence.
Bandy requested Tema if his sister could join him, saying he couldn't imagine living alone without her.
Tema, having no other option, consented to the request and granted Bandri permission to accompany Bandy throughout his education.
That was how Bandri entered.
Bandy once again broke down as every memory came rushing back at once.
Lightning wrapped around him—
a storm with a heartbeat.
Tears streamed down his face.
A faint sob escaped his lips.
The thunder answered.
He had always wanted this power,
but never under circumstances like these.
And yet, he finally accepted it.
This was his reality now.
He had no choice but to move forward.
For an eleven-year-old, it was a terrifyingly huge step.
Slowly, he returned to himself.
His pupils reformed.
His body stopped shivering.
And.....he began to adapt.
He lifted his head and looked at Kunter,
who was already rushing forward to attack.
Not with fear.
Not with hesitation.
But with pure, unfiltered rage.
Bandy finally stopped crying.
And screamed—
"BE READY FOR YOUR DEATH, YOU INHUMAN CREATURE!
I'M GOING TO GIVE YOU ONE HELL OF A FIGGHTTTT!"
