"Hello, Little Fei," she murmured softly, lifting the groggy toddler into her arms. "Did we wake you up?"
Little Fei rubbed his eyes with tiny fists before squinting toward Zhang Fu.
"Dada?"
Zhang Fu needed a second longer to recover from the kiss. But once he heard his son's voice, his entire demeanor shifted.

"Yes, Little Fei," he said warmly as he approached them. "Daddy's here."
"Dada!"
The toddler stretched his arms eagerly toward him.
Zhang Fu laughed and lifted him from Song Yuqing's arms, peppering his soft cheeks with affectionate kisses.
"Someone missed Daddy," he said, grinning.
Little Fei giggled sleepily.
