"My boyfriend," Elena answered plainly.
"What?" Cai Jun nearly jumped. "You have a boyfriend?"
"Yes."
"Ehehehe," Simon snickered.
"Since when? Who is he?" Cai Jun demanded.
"Last week," Elena replied after a brief pause. "He's a businessman."
She wasn't lying. They had only officially become a couple when he asked, and she agreed. And regardless of his status, Jin Di was, technically, a businessman.
Cai Jun looked deeply troubled. "Elena… I don't think this is a good idea. You've just made your comeback."
"Why?" Elena tilted her head.
"Fans idolize you. Some of them feel possessive. If they find out you have a boyfriend, they might feel betrayed. Many celebrities have faced backlash because of this. That's why relationships are often hidden, especially for young artists."
"That's stupid," Elena said flatly. "My fans don't own me. And I already had my lawyer remove the 'no relationship' clause before signing with Bright Summit."
