That was all it took.
People sat back down. Conversations exploded. Photos and videos flooded social media. Plates were refilled as refreshments returned to the tables. Instead of dispersing, the crowd buzzed with excitement, as if they had just witnessed something legendary.
Then the police arrived.
They moved quickly, questioning witnesses. Minutes later, ambulances followed.
By then, the three masked women regained consciousness.
Their groggy confusion lasted all of five seconds before it turned into shrill screaming, especially when they spotted the police uniforms.
Not again.
Officers and paramedics had to restrain them when they began struggling violently.
It didn't take long for the police to piece things together. One officer recognized them and informed the others that the trio already had a record. They were out on bail. For physical assault.
This incident was the same charge, only worse.
They were arrested on the spot.
