Chapter 13 - 'Spark' Idol Group at Home (Part-2)

She has cue cards in her hands. Some of the questions were printed on them beforehand, while some of them were written with a pen as if they were made on the spot.

Elena found it weird to ask herself a question and answer it by herself. Of course, if she's an idol, it wouldn't be an issue, but now that she's only a normal person, she feels a bit embarrassed.

The camera started recording. Elena looked at the camera without wearing her contact lenses.

Elena gave a light bow and waved her hands to the camera, and introduced herself, "Hello, my name is Jang Elena. I'm Dajun's elder sister. First of all, let me congratulate 'Spark' on winning the Rookie of the Year award."

Since she wasn't given any script and she doesn't know how to act as MC, she started reading the question directly.

Q: "Who is Dajun as a person, not as a Kpop idol?"

A: "I can't say much about the current Dajun, but the Dajun I know, I mean like, before his journey to the idol began, he was hmm… how should I say… a hardworking boy with a lot of bad habits.

Like he has terrible mood swings, especially in the morning, you wouldn't want to disturb him if he doesn't have enough sleep. He hasn't fixed that habit, even now."

"True…" Suddenly, Na-joon commented, and the rest of the guys laughed. Those who were busy with smartphones put them away, suddenly feeling that this interview is going to be interesting. Meanwhile, Dajun's ears turned a little bit red in embarrassment. "I'm not that irritable."

Meanwhile, Elena continued, "Another example is, whenever he gets unfortunate news, his mood will turn 180 degrees, no matter how happy he was. Whenever it happens, I used to compliment him until he cheered up again, or buy him ice cream or chocolate… Along with that, there are a lot of bad habits. Even my fingers won't be enough if I start to count.

Still, his good quality offsets his bad habits though.

For starters, his determination is off the charts. Once he sets his mind on something, no matter how much difficulty he faces, he will complete his task for sure.

Hahaha… I guess that's a bit of a long answer. Let's go to the next question."

Elena read the question on the next cue card.

Q: "How do you feel about being a sibling of a celebrity?"

A: "Well, I'm proud that my brother is known to everyone, although I'm still surprised he became one, though. From childhood, he always wanted to become a soccer player, but one day, he suddenly said that he wanted to become a trainee. I was busy with my issues back then and wasn't at home much. But seeing him now as an idol known to have thousands of fans, I'm really proud of him. I probably could see how much hard work he had put in to reach where he is now."

Dajun became a little bit emotional and couldn't help but remember his dark days.

Then, she went on to the next cue card.

Q: "Name a few qualities that you like in your brother."

A: "Well, he is straightforward, unapologetic to his actions, like I'm who I am, and I don't need to explain myself to anyone. I already mentioned his determination towards the task.

Another good quality of his is how he also goes with the flow. For example, if the group has differences about something and he's in the minority… he will still follow the majority without being uncomfortable."

Elena went to the next question.

Q: "How is your relationship with your brother?"

A: "I think, quite closer than many siblings."

Q: We heard there is a nickname you often call your brother.

A: Tofu. It's because of his pale skin.

Q: "Do you know the names of Dajun's team members?"

A: "Of course. I follow the group."

Q: "What is your favorite song by Spark?"

A: "Hmm, there are a few, but if I had to pick one, it should be Fear."

Q: "Other than Dajun, who is your favorite among the members of Spark?"

A: "Uhh…"

Elena glanced at the guys who were now intently watching the shoot and held back herself from saying Na-joon's name, who looked just like her type, as it would unnecessarily cause certain misunderstandings. In the end, she simply ended with, "everyone is good. I can't just pick one…"

Q: "What is Dajun most deprived of?"

A: "Hmm, humanity?"

Dajun was drinking water, and he almost choked at the answer.

As everyone suddenly looked at Elena in shock, including her mother… Elena looked at everyone and laughed, "Just kidding. He's a perfectionist. Like I said earlier, whatever he has set his mind on, he is determined to make it perfect. He's someone who lacks tolerance for making mistakes. To put it in one sentence, he's deprived of loosening up, I guess?"

Meanwhile, Dajun hid his face in embarrassment as his ears turned beet red now, while Na-joon tried to tease from beside him, "Looks like your mood swings are acting up…"

"Shut up…"

Then, Soo-hyun suddenly said, "Is it only me, or does Elena-Noona's interview seem different from other interviews?"

"Isn't that because she's beautiful?" Se-yul slowly joined the discussion.

"Nah! I don't mean that. I mean, I'm not saying she isn't beautiful, but the previous interviews were asked by the producer-nim…" Soo-hyun explained himself.

"Hmm…" Everyone can't help but nod together upon hearing his response.

"It's because she is a former Kpop trainee at our company. She is our senior, basically," Dajun confessed the truth.

"Eh?" Everyone suddenly looked at him in surprise.

"Trainee?"

Dajun nodded, "Former Trainee. She trained with Resonance sunbae-nims."

"Oh…."

"By the way, I want to ask this for a while. Does your brother really have those green eyes? Earlier, I think I saw brown eyes." Ye-chan also decided to clear the things in his head.

"Yeah, she has those from birth," Dajun confirmed his doubts, feeling annoyed inside while remembering his elementary school days, where he was asked by his friends this very same question a countless number of times.

Soon, the interviews were concluded with Elena ignoring all the questions about her personal life since she's just a side character here, so Elena only talked about Dajun.

After finishing the interview, while Sa-Eun went to the kitchen to prepare dinner for everyone, Elena sat with the manager.

"Congratulations on being selected for the Treasure Campus." The manager suddenly strikes up a conversation with Elena.

"Thanks, um…" Elena looked at this familiar-looking thirty-five-year-old woman, "I'm sorry, what's your name, manager-ssi?"
