The Hunter Society exists in a separate realm—almost like a pocket universe. It is as large as Earth, but completely detached from our world. No one truly knows where this place is located. Ordinary humans cannot enter the Hunter Society; only individuals with superhuman abilities can access it. The entire Hunter Society was created exclusively for meta-humans.Snow takes Alex to a village. In the middle of the village, there is a very large house surrounded by many security guards wearing old black blazers. Alex is surprised and follows Snow quietly. Snow tells him, "Don't worry, nothing will happen to you. Just stay with me."
Then Snow enters a big room. Inside the room, there is another door. Snow walks toward that door. As Snow stands in front of it, an eye-shaped mark on the door opens. It scans the magical symbol on Snow's forehead, which starts glowing. After that, the door automatically unlocks.
Snow and Alex go inside. As soon as they enter, Alex sees a completely different world that looks exactly like Earth. A black car arrives to pick them up. They both get inside the car, and it takes them toward the headquarters.
Snow and Alex were sitting inside the car. After that, the driver, Martin, started driving them toward the Head Office.
While driving, Martin asked,
"Is he the boy everyone was making such a big fuss about?"
Snow replied calmly,
"Yes, he is the one."
Martin looked at Alex again and said,
"He has grown up a lot. He looks exactly like him."
Hearing that, Alex became a little shocked and asked,
"Like who?"
Before Martin could say anything more, Snow quickly said,
"There's no need to talk about that now. It's better not to discuss this topic."
Martin went silent, and Alex became even more confused.
Alex then looked out of the car window. Outside, he could see some boys, around twenty years old, playing football under the open sky.
Alex said,
"So that means all these people live in this magical world, that's why we don't see them much. They only appear when a monster attacks the city, otherwise they stay hidden. Is that because they belong to this magical world?"
Snow replied,
"This is not a magical world. Its name is Hunter Society. It is a pocket dimension."
While talking, they arrived in front of the Head Office. Alex and Snow got out of the car and walked toward the building. They entered the office.
Inside, a man named Steve Fukunaga was sitting on a chair. As soon as Snow and Alex entered, Steve said,
"You're finally here. Why are you so late?"
Snow answered,
"Don't even ask. A monster attacked Alex. I had to fight the monster, that's why we got late."
Steve looked worried and said,
"How did Cortex find out about Alex so quickly? This is bad. I couldn't inform you in time. If you hadn't arrived, Cortex might have escaped today."
Alex then asked,
"Can I finally know about this Cortex? And why did it attack me?"
Steve replied,
"I'll explain everything. There's no need to rush."
Then Steve said to Alex,
"From today onward, you will stay inside the Hunter Society until you learn how to control your cursed energy."
Snow added,
"I'll start his training from today."
Alex looked confused and said,
"What training? What energy?"
Steve replied,
"First, his Cortex needs to be activated."
Snow hesitated and said,
"I don't think activating the Cortex so early is a good idea. He won't be able to control its power. And the senior members won't agree with this decision."
Steve replied firmly,
"I'll handle the seniors. Don't worry."
Steve then took Alex with him and showed him his room.
Alex said angrily,
"What kind of training will I do here? I don't want any training. I want to go home."
Steve said seriously,
"You can leave if you want. But the monsters won't stop chasing you. They will kill you. If you want to survive, stay here. I'll explain everything slowly."
Alex felt scared. After thinking for a moment, he agreed to stay.
Steve left Alex in the room and said,
"Freshen up and rest. We'll talk tomorrow."
Then Steve left.

Scene Change
Steve was now inside a meeting room. Five old men, all around fifty years old, were sitting there. Steve was standing in front of them.
One of the old men said,
"Steve, why did you bring that boy into the Hunter Society? He won't be able to control the power of Cortex. We already have many intelligent and powerful hunters. Cortex should be given to them. They will use its power better."
Another old man agreed and said,
"Yes, that's right. It would be better to take Cortex away from that boy."
Steve replied calmly,
"You may have forgotten the truth about Cortex. The real power of Cortex can only be used by its true host. Cortex chooses its host by itself.
If Cortex is forcefully removed from its chosen host, its true power can never be used."
He continued,
"And you all know that Cortex is the only power capable of defeating The Void. That is why the best option is to train Alex to control his cursed energy, so he can fully control the power of Cortex."
One of the old men said,
"Alright. We'll give him one year. If he fails to control the power of Cortex within one year, we will take Cortex away from him. We don't want to create new problems. We already have enough trouble with The Void."
With that decision, the meeting ended.
