Chapter 2 - Chapter 3

"Open status panel."

Quinn focused his thoughts, and a simple interface materialized before his eyes.

[Host: Quinn]

[Skills: Sword Mastery, Sun Breathing]

[Items: Nichirin Blade]

[Puppets: Muzan Kibutsuji, Twelve Kizuki]

[Wish Points: 1,006]

[Level: D-Rank Six-Star]

Items referred to things drawn from the system's gacha, and the level... The system ranked individual strength across different tiers.

From strongest to weakest: SSS, SS, S, A, B, C, D, E, and F.

Each tier was subdivided into ten stars.

Quinn had obtained Sun Breathing and related sword techniques through the lottery, bringing his strength to D-Rank Six-Star—probably on par with the Winter Soldier, Falcon, and similar enhanced operatives.

Quinn had never actually met those two, so he'd only estimated based on movies from his previous life and what he knew of Iron Man's capabilities. He couldn't be certain of the comparison.

"Wish Points exceeded a thousand again. Keep this up, and the rewards will come rolling in."

Looking at the number on his panel, Quinn couldn't help but feel satisfied.

It had been a full year since he'd arrived in this world.

Initially, he'd been cautious—terrified that someone like the Ancient One might notice him through timeline observation or future-sight. He'd kept a low profile, avoiding any big moves.

Naturally, his Wish Point accumulation had been glacially slow.

It wasn't until two months ago, after the system had guaranteed—and a series of experiments had proven—that truly no one could discover the connection between him and his puppets, that he'd finally let Muzan and the Twelve Kizuki operate freely.

In those two months, he'd gained over ten thousand Wish Points.

More than ten times what he'd accumulated in the entire year prior. Sun Breathing and the Nichirin Blade had both come from lottery draws using those ten thousand points.

And now, in just one day, he'd gained another thousand.

"Tony only became Iron Man last month. Right now, the Marvel world isn't that dangerous yet. My strength is adequate for the time being. Let's focus on summoning more puppets." After considering his options, Quinn initiated the lottery.

The system cost 100 Wish Points per draw. Quinn opted for ten consecutive pulls.

[Ding! You have obtained an F-Rank Puppet Fragment!]

[Ding! You have obtained a C-Rank Puppet Fragment!]

[Ding! You have obtained an E-Rank Puppet Fragment!]

[Ding! You have obtained an A-Rank Puppet Fragment!]

[Ding! You have obtained the C-Rank Puppet "Otto Suwen"!]

...

...

"Ten pulls and I actually got a C-Rank puppet!"

Quinn felt genuinely surprised.

He'd done many lottery draws before, but the success rate had been abysmal.

Before he'd started operating openly, he'd only drawn Sword Mastery. After letting loose, the 10,000 Wish Points he'd accumulated with Muzan and the Twelve Kizuki's help had been split into two fifty-pull sessions—the puppet pulls had yielded only fragments, while the item pulls had produced only Sun Breathing and a Nichirin Blade.

And now, he'd pulled a C-Rank puppet in just ten draws.

His luck today was exceptional.

"Shame I'm out of Wish Points, or I'd keep going." Quinn felt a twinge of regret.

But he quickly refocused and examined the puppet he'd drawn.

[Name: Otto Suwen]

[Occupation: Merchant, Interior Minister, Steward]

[Skill: Earth Magic]

[Special Ability: Spirit Language]

[Level: C-Rank Six-Star]

"Wait... the 'God of War' himself!"

After reviewing the puppet's details in the system space, Quinn's eyes narrowed slightly.

This Otto "God of War" came from Re:Zero − Starting Life in Another World. In terms of raw physical ability, he could easily handle Subaru's 60-kilogram frame, but he was far weaker than any superhuman.

He knew some basic earth magic that could only be cast under specific conditions, and his Spirit Language blessing allowed him to communicate with all living things.

However, because the ability was still developing, using it too frequently placed a burden on his body, causing side effects like nosebleeds, fainting, and in extreme cases, brain death.

Judging purely by panel statistics, Otto was E-Rank at best.

But he was clever—exceptionally so. He handled matters with remarkable composure and always managed situations methodically. He could objectively analyze problems and find reasonable solutions, often cleaning up the messes left by the protagonist's group.

It was this sharp mind and strategic thinking that had led to his surprisingly impressive combat record, earning him the tongue-in-cheek title "God of War Otto."

But for such an excellent puppet, Quinn found himself at a loss.

How exactly could he use Otto's abilities to attract attention and gain Wish Points?

The puppets possessed intelligence and retained the personalities and wisdom of their original counterparts, but they had no true self-awareness.

Quinn could choose smart mode to let the puppet operate independently, or he could directly control them by projecting his consciousness.

So he didn't need to worry about the puppet's feelings or anything like that.

However, Otto's abilities weren't suited for direct combat, and he'd struggle to handle the various emergencies that came with being a hero.

His personality also made him unsuitable for playing a villain—he couldn't orchestrate the kind of sensational crimes that Muzan and the Twelve Kizuki could use to grab attention.

Should he... have him perform street shows?

With Otto's ability to communicate with all living things, street performances would definitely be explosive, drawing massive crowds.

But...

"If I do that, everyone will just think it's an animal trainer's performance. Even if they're amazed and applaud, they'll be reacting to the 'animal trainer Otto,' not the system-generated puppet 'Otto.' I won't get any Wish Points from that."
