Chapter 5 - Brothers on Guard

If it hadn't been obvious that Seo Yul was only talkative and not truly trying to get into relationships with them, Jin Buwon would have beaten him so badly already that even his parents wouldn't recognize him.

Still, even so, he had never shown Seo Yul a friendly face.

After seeing his big brother leave the house, Jin Buhan finally turned back inside. Returning to his laboratory, he activated his personal artificial intelligence system.

"Wheatley, check for me where Buyeon's aircraft is right now. Remember to keep real-time monitoring."

Of course they couldn't just let Jin Buyeon go out alone with Seo Yul without precautions. For the family, her safety came first. Naturally, they had already installed tracking programs inside the aircraft.

Indeed, the aircraft that Jin Buyeon's eldest brother had prepared was already implanted with a tracking program by Jin Buhan. Because of that, no matter where this aircraft went, he could always know its location at any time.

And once Seo Yul dared to try something beastly, as her brother, he would definitely not let that brat succeed. During the school's combat training courses, Seo Yul could not be said to lose quickly, but he also could not be considered strong. Even though he was an Alpha, he was one of the weaker ones among them.

He was already eighteen years old, but his strength was still only at the level of a mid-level Alpha, and he had only just recently advanced to that level.

Jin Buhan sneered to himself, "Truly nothing but dumb luck…"

Although Jin Buyeon's eldest brother was now only a mid-level Omega, the level of a mid-level Omega could not be compared with that of a mid-level Alpha at all.

There were indeed many Omega, but ninety-nine percent of them were only low-level. Out of every hundred Omega, there might only be one who could reach mid-level.

As for high-level Omega, in the entire empire there were only fifty of them.

And every single one of those fifty was already somewhat old, because young Omega who broke through to high-level were extremely rare. It was rare in the past, and now nearly thirty to forty years had passed without a single young one making such a breakthrough.

The empire was growing rather anxious about this situation.

In contrast, the numbers of Alpha were much more balanced across different levels.

Even so, the majority of Alpha were still low-level, making up about seventy percent.

Around twenty percent were mid-level, and only ten percent were high-level.

At present, on the empire's capital star, it was possible to see dozens of high-level Alpha just by stepping outside.

On the capital star, for anyone who lived there, it was almost certain that at least one member of their family was a high-level Alpha.

Even Jin Buyeon's two older brothers were both high-level Alpha.

The growth of an Alpha's rank and strength was closely linked with mutated beasts.

Although Alpha could train and cultivate on their own to become stronger, the speed was painfully slow.
