The lessons today are simple and quick. Herbology and DADA. Quirell is stuttering like as usual, a complete useless class with stench of garlic so thick that Damian always find this class repulsive. But he is also interested in the second status window appearing on top of Quirell. Why Harry had the same status window too. He wants to find the reason.
The reason the classes finished quickly is because of the most anticipated flying class. Damian heard they will learn to fly on the broom sticks like witches in fairy tails and children stories. He had a huge doubt with that, why can't wizards who can levitate objects without the help of anything cannot fly by themselves.
Turns out there is a way for this flight too. But it's with very experienced wizards and demands more magic. Even veteran aurors failed to use it after the ministry provided them with a manual on how to do it. But the Death Eaters got a simplified version of this magic from the dark lord. Using this magic they escaped many times from the aurors and quickly go to another place to destroy it. and their claims included harassing and torturing muggles and muggle borns into insanity and killing them.
As the first years arrived at the training ground, there are already brooms neatly arranged on the floor in two rows facing each other. Damian stand beside a girl who looked at him with a frown. She looked slightly disgusted and not at all giving him a good eye. Damian ignored her though, he just stood there while using his eye of truth on the broom.

Damian felt that broom is good enough for playing. He heard many complaints from these Slytherins, but he found no drawbacks in the brooms. New brooms will be a little bit faster than this and has more comfort compared to others. Sweeper Star is one of the most common and popular broom used by many. As Damian is in his thoughts, Madam Hooch appeared, she walked to the end of the line while greetings them and looked the first years on both sides before saying," welcome to your first flying lesson class ".
" Now what are you waiting for. everyone stand left side of your broomstick ", the students compiled. " Now raise your right hand and say up ".
" UP ", all students yelled at the same time.

Two brooms shot into the hands of two students. Harry Potter and Damian. Damian looked at his broom and felt amused. Madam Hooch looked at them both with a nod.
" With feel ", Madam Hooch instructed. One by one all got their hands on the broom while some picked up after many failed attempts. " Now once you have a hold of your broom. I want you to mount it, grip it tight, you don't want to be sliding off the end".
One by one students climbed on top their broom while Madam Hooch further instructed," now after I whistle, I want each of your to kick off from the ground hard, keep your brooms steady hover for a moment and lean forward slightly and touch back down. On my wishtle ".
" Three, two, one, *whistle* ", Madam Hooch blew her whistle. Before any of them can kick the ground, Neville Longbottom already started levitating off the ground on his broom. Damian looked at him in surprise. ' seems like some students learned how to fly brooms ear- ', his thought is interrupted by a panicked voice.
" Down get down ", Longbottom is yelling while Madam Hooch said," Mr Longbottom. Mr-mr-mr Longbottom. Hey back down this instant ", then Nevile started yelling," help, help ", his broom shot forward making Damian stood there in surprise.
' damn, the broom's condition is not good at all ', Damian thought.

It's aerial stability enchantment is broken. That's why it's acting in such strange way.

Damian stared at the quest for a moment then turned Neville. That guy is like riding a bull constantly moving in zig zag, front and backward. Then the broom suddenly accelerated. It hit the castle wall making Damian dumbfounded at it's durability but then he noticed something in the scan changed.

' Damn, the impact did even more damage to the enchantments. Think Damian there must be a way. If he hits the ground with the momentum-!!? Wait, momentum that's it. I need to stop him before his body touched the ground with that momentum ', Damian thought.
He quickly glanced at Neville who accelerated towards a statue with a sharp metal spear in its hands. Damian eyes widened, this Longbottom won't be dropped there right. It's out of his range. If he really is in such height, he can do nothing to rescue him. But contrary to his expectations, Neville's robe got stuck with the spear and dragged him off the broom.
His robes tore and he fell down. Luckily a metal torch like apparatus is there on the wall which further caught his robes. But even then Neville started sliding off his robes. Damian moved immediately and just when Neville slid off his robes, Damian immediately pointed his wand and cast the spell," Arresto Momentum ".
Neville's body slowed down and stopped a few meters above ground. Damian gritted his teeth, he don't have much practice here with the spell and this spell is consuming too much mana, more over in the moment of heat, his obscurial is trying to stur some trouble. He felt his body in state of unrest. He didn't even have time for purification now. Neville needs to be safe for his quest to be done or else Longbottom will end with broken bones.
Amidst the surprised gasps from students Damian slowly managed to set Neville down. His body shuddered as Obscurial released some energy which he suppressed, as a result it rampaged in his body. More over to his horror he started to feel that his obscurial seems to have a will too. Like whining and growling at his part of mana that is suppressing him.
He quickly cast purification on himself along with intermediate heal. His skin glowed there for a few seconds before he felt the power of obscurus is suppressed. Damian immediately used the necklace given to him by Aberforth to seal it again. Only then he breathed a sigh of relief.
