The next few days passed by like a breeze, whenever Dumbledore arrived, he now has a complicated look on his face, he will frown immediately as Damian dropped a few hints, saying there is something wrong with his body. There is something heavy that is causing him some burden. This is true, something is indeed causing some unrest in his body. He can feel it, the power inside that is waiting to come out. Dumbledore told him relax and just ignore it for now.
When he asked the healers there they will say there is nothing wrong with his body. But he can see pity in their eyes. Activating the Eyes of truth, he saw the pity clearly, but he gained no significant detail on his condition. Not even his reports, wizards hospital is quite different compared to normal ones.
And some people started calling him muggleborn. He didn't understand what it is. After talking to healers there who are visiting to check on him, he understood what is a muggleborn. Bad news, he became one. Good news, he can live for few years maybe not even a year if he uses this power continuously, 2 or 3 if he uses the power occasionally and at most 5-7 if he never uses it.
Damian didn't feel much, he wished ut should have been him who should have tortured and died instead of the people in orphanage.
So yeah, Death just became his friend. Always staying beside him and whenever he uses the power of obscurus, it will get close to him more and more. Even if he don't use it, death stay with him and slowly approach him before taking him away.
His death is guaranteed. If it's 2 weeks back, he would have been in a panic and regret but now he got nothing like that, sure he wants to live and take revenge, but doesn't mean he loves to live. His mind is chaotic now and it's leaning more towards death route. So yeah, for now he may not feel anything about it unless this feeling in hin disappears.
Looking at Damian, the old man don't know what to say. He tried to cheer Damian. But Damian smacked his head with his hand suddenly. Because the solution appeared in front of him.

He wanted to smack his head for forgetting the reward from Eve. With a sigh, he turned to Dumbledore who is frowning at him. Dumbledore tried to read Damian's mind. And whenever he tried that Damian got the notification.

But he pretended he didn't see it. According to the system, the memories related to system and it's rewards will be hidden completely. Only his own memories are in danger. As for the solution, his system didn't give him one for countering that.
Anyway, what can he do? His memories are like an open book to Dumbledore. But Dumbledore only read the surface thoughts for now. He can feel Damian's emotions, he is slowly overcoming the grief. But Dumbledore never knew it isn't that grief is decreased but the rage and vengeance in Damian's heart is burning fiercely.
He is now trying to survive and investigate the massacarre in the orphanage. Even Dumbledore tried to investigate it, but it's like a puzzle mixed and he is back to square one everytime he tried that. So he gave up as he has more headaches now. Voldemort is not gone, his goons are still running in the society and held power in ministry, not to mention Harry Potter is coming to Hogwarts.
Not to mention there are increased monster attacks, negotiations with other schools, talks with other races. He has a headache everytime he is thinking about workload. Thank the stars, McGonagall is there to support him.
As he is thinking, Damian asked him," Professor Dumbledore. When are we going to visit the Diagon Alley? I'm planning to visit the graves of matron and others. Can we go there. Just a couple of minutes please ".
Dumbledore nodded and said," take my hand, it'll be more easier and faster to go there ", Damian frowned and looked doubtful. Then as soon as he touched Dumbledore's hand he felt the world is spinning and he is being squeezed through a tight pipe. When he landed on the ground again, he looked blank.
Dumbledore wanted to ask if he is okay. But Damian adjusted to the discomfort and asked," what was that? ", Dumbledore said," apparition. You'll learn it in future. In your last couple of years at Hogwarts ", Damian nodded. ' I won't wait until later years. I'll find a way to learn it somehow as early as possible '.
