The iron doors of the council chamber opened with a deep echo.
Four pureblooded vampires lifted their eyes.
Bootsteps followed.
Slow and heavy against the obsidian floor.
The Destroyer walked into the chamber.
His dark armor carried the faint marks of battle, thin silver scars across the metal where celestial magic had struck. The air itself seemed to shift as he approached the circular council table.
Lord Boden of House Dangins sat with his fingers steepled beneath his chin, watching quietly.
Across from him, Lady Geraldine of House Movine leaned slightly forward, crimson eyes reflecting the braziers burning along the walls.
Lord Kaelthorn of House Virel stood beside his chair instead of sitting, arms crossed, impatience obvious in the tight set of his jaw.
Lord Malrec of House Thorne remained seated, calm and observant.
The Destroyer stopped before them.
He inclined his head.
