Chapter 2 - 2:The Rocket That Should Have Been Ben’s

The assault pod cut through the void like a spear of burning silver. From inside, Vilgax—formerly an ordinary human, now reborn as the galaxy's most feared warlord—watched the blue marble of Earth grow larger with each passing second. His enhanced mind calculated angle shifts, atmospheric pressures, the Omnitrix's fall trajectory, and even Ben Tennyson's movements across North America.

Everything fit together like gears in an elaborate machine.

Everything pointed toward one conclusion:

I will arrive first.

It felt surreal. In the original timeline, this pod would not launch for months. Canon Vilgax remained comatose, drifting between life and death after a rebellion explosion crippled him.

But this Vilgax—the transmigrated one—was awake early. Aware. Intelligent.

He felt the hum of power around him as the pod entered Earth's atmosphere. The hull glowed a furious orange as flames licked its surface, but the internal stabilizers held firm, guided by calculations running through his augmented brain.

A hologram appeared on the front screen.

An object streaking toward Earth, its descent shimmering like a green comet.

THE OMNITRIX POD

Estimated Time of Impact: 2 minutes 31 seconds

Predicted Location: Glen Canyon Forest Region

Vilgax's lips curled into a thin, predatory smile.

"Perfect."

He initiated rapid descent mode.

The pod violently accelerated.

A Boy, A Watch, And A Destiny Interrupted

Far below, an old rusted RV—the Rustbucket—rolled along a lonely forest road. Inside sat three unsuspecting humans: Grandpa Max humming as he drove, Gwen reading a book, and Ben complaining about the summer vacation.

Vilgax watched them through the pod's external scanners.

In another world, Ben would soon storm into the forest, find a strange crater, and discover the device that would change his life forever.

But today, that destiny would belong to someone else.

A final warning flashed in front of him:

[RISK: Timeline divergence increasing.]

[Probability of external interference: 4% and rising.]

He ignored it.

Power required sacrifice. Destiny was not a gift; it was a prize seized through will.

Impact

The assault pod slammed into the forest with the force of a meteor. A shockwave ripped through the trees, throwing dirt and splinters in all directions. Smoke curled into the air as the ground shook beneath the violent landing.

Vilgax burst out of the pod, tearing open the hatch with his monstrous strength. The ground trembled beneath his heavy steps. The forest around him bent under his presence.

And there—only a few dozen meters away—descending from the sky like a falling emerald star…

The Omnitrix.

Its pod spiraled downward, green flames trailing behind it. Vilgax positioned himself beneath it, sensors in his brain calculating the exact landing point down to the millimeter.

Five seconds… four… three…

The Omnitrix pod slammed into the earth with a brilliant flash. Dirt erupted upward, forming a crater illuminated by neon-green light. The watch-like device inside pulsed, humming with an alien energy that shook the air.

Vilgax stepped toward it slowly. Each footstep felt monumental.

He was witnessing a moment no one else in existence had ever seen—

a moment meant for a different boy.

But destiny bowed to those who seized it, not those who waited for it.

He reached the pod.

The Watch Chooses

The Omnitrix lay in the center, resting atop a bed of glowing debris. The strange symbols carved into its surface pulsated as if alive. It reacted to something—possibly him.

Vilgax extended a hand.

"After eons of searching… after countless failures… today marks the true beginning."

His fingers brushed the surface.

Instantly, a surge of power rushed up his arm.

A bright green flash engulfed everything as the Omnitrix's DNA scanners activated.

Vilgax's system flared:

[WARNING: Omnitrix selecting compatible DNA.]

[Potential host recognized.]

[Initiating permanent bonding sequence.]

The device snapped upward like a living creature and latched onto his wrist with a deafening click.

Vilgax staggered. His vision blurred. His arm burned, as if molten plasma was being injected into his veins.

The Omnitrix symbols glowed violently.

The forest shook.

The universe itself seemed to hold its breath.

And with one final flash—

the Omnitrix bonded to Vilgax.

Shockwaves Across Space

The moment the bond sealed, the system inside Vilgax's mind erupted with data.

[HOST COMPATIBILITY: High]

[GENETIC ANALYSIS: Complete]

[UNIVERSE ALERT: Temporal deviation detected]

[CELESTIAL SAPIENS: Minimal attention detected — Status: Non-intervention]

He exhaled slowly. Good. He had expected worse. If the Celestials Sapiens interfered, he'd be erased instantly. But apparently, his early awakening didn't cross the threshold of cosmic alarm.

Yet.

A new notification appeared:

[Unlocked: Alien Access Level 1]

Heatblast

Wildmutt

Diamondhead

XLR8

Four Arms

Upgrade

Grey Matter

The original starter lineup.

But then something unexpected happened.

The system inside him pulsed again—

[INTELLIGENCE BOOST DETECTED]

[CALCULATING ADAPTIVE EVOLUTION]

A new form unlocked.

[Unlocked: Alien — Bio-Enhanced Vilgaxian Titan]

A hybrid form combining Vilgaxian biology with Omnitrix adaptive traits.

Vilgax froze.

A new alien form—unique, powerful, unprecedented.

His lips curled into a grin.

"This… this changes everything."

He activated the Omnitrix interface. The watch dial rose, humming with infinite potential.

The Heroes Arrive Too Late

Branches snapped. Leaves rustled violently. Someone was approaching fast.

Vilgax didn't need sensors to know who they were.

Ben, Gwen, and Max.

He turned slowly toward the sound.

A boy burst into the clearing, panting, eyes wide with excitement.

"Whoa! What happened here—? Is that a watch?!"

The girl behind him gasped. "Ben, wait!"

Grandpa Max's eyes widened with horror the moment he saw the towering figure standing beside the Omnitrix crater.

Vilgax.

But not the weakened, half-dead Vilgax the universe expected.

This Vilgax stood tall, glowing with Omnitrix energy, the device firmly locked onto his wrist.

Ben froze.

The watch—the destiny meant for him—was already gone.

"No way…" he whispered. "You stole my watch!"

Vilgax looked at the child who, in another world, would have become the universe's greatest hero.

A part of him felt an odd nostalgia. Another part felt nothing but cold ambition.

"Foolish child," Vilgax said, his voice resonating through the clearing. "Destiny belongs to those strong enough to claim it."

Ben clenched his fists. "I won't let you get away with this!"

Vilgax chuckled. "You are ten years old. And I am the warlord of ten galaxies."

Max stepped forward, panic in his eyes. "Vilgax! This is a mistake—if you bond with that device—"

"Your warnings are irrelevant."

Vilgax raised the Omnitrix. The dial glowed.

For the first time in the universe's history, the Omnitrix would ignite not for a hero—

—but for a conqueror.

He slammed the dial down.

Green light exploded around him.

Ben's eyes widened.

Gwen screamed.

Max shielded them.

And in that moment, the galaxy's future shattered into a million new possibilities.
