Chapter 3 - CHAPTER THREE — THE BLOOD OATH BROKEN

Heaven rang with alarms that had not sounded since the first war.

Not bells.

Not horns.

Screams.

The great spires of the Celestial Domain blazed as emergency sigils ignited across the sky, burning warnings directly into the clouds.

⚠ GOD-SLAYER CONFIRMED ⚠

⚠ DELTA DECLARED HOSTIS DIVINITUS ⚠

Delta stood at the edge of the realm, floating just outside Heaven's outer gates, watching the panic unfold.

"…Took them long enough," he muttered.

Behind him, the shattered remains of a divine gate drifted through space, still crackling with residual lightning from Zeus' death. Feathers, gold armor, and celestial blood spun slowly in the void.

The heavens trembled every time his presence brushed them.

He hadn't even attacked yet.

---

THE SUMMONS

A pressure slammed into his consciousness.

A command.

Delta grimaced.

"Oh no," he sighed. "You do not still get to do that."

Golden runes flared around him, ancient and binding — the Summoning Seal. The same one the gods had used for centuries.

A tether yanked at his existence.

Delta looked down at the glowing symbols crawling over his arms.

"…You're kidding me."

The seal activated anyway.

Reality folded.

---

THE DIVINE TRIBUNAL

Delta materialized in the Hall of Judgment, a chamber so vast it made Hell feel cramped.

Thrones ringed the space — dozens of them. Gods from countless pantheons sat upon them, some furious, some afraid, some trying very hard not to look at him.

At the center floated the Anvil of Law, a massive construct carved from condensed reality. Chains of pure concept wrapped around it — order, command, obedience.

The gods believed no being could resist it.

Delta glanced around.

"Wow. You redecorated."

A murmur rippled through the assembly.

A radiant figure rose — Aurelios, God of Law, embodiment of divine authority.

"DELTA," he boomed.

"You stand accused of the unlawful execution of Divine Kings Zeus of Olympus and Odin of Asgard."

Delta tilted his head. "Execution implies permission."

"YOU WERE A WEAPON," Aurelios thundered.

"CREATED TO SERVE. BOUND TO OBEY."

There it was.

Serve.

Obey.

Weapon.

Delta's jaw tightened.

THE ACCUSATION

Another god stood — Seraphyne, Lady of Mercy, her wings trembling.

"Delta," she pleaded softly, "please… you must understand the consequences. Your actions destabilize all creation. Lay down your power and submit."

Delta met her gaze.

"I asked for help once," he said quietly.

The hall went still.

"When the wars broke me. When my hands wouldn't stop shaking. When I couldn't sleep without hearing screams."

Seraphyne faltered.

"You told me…" Delta continued, voice steady, "that weapons don't get mercy."

The Anvil pulsed.

Aurelios raised a hand.

"By unanimous decree, Delta is hereby—"

The chains moved.

They lunged for him.

---

THE BREAKING

They never reached him.

Delta caught the first chain with one hand.

The entire Hall of Judgment shuddered.

Gods gasped.

Impossible.

That chain had bound Primordials.

Delta squeezed.

The chain shattered into fragments of law and concept, screaming as it broke.

Delta lifted his gaze.

"I obeyed," he said calmly.

"I fought your wars."

"I killed your enemies."

"I bled for your peace."

He tore another chain apart.

"And you still feared me."

Aurelios stepped back. "Delta—stop—this—this is heresy."

Delta smiled.

"No."

He stepped forward.

"This is honesty."

---

THE FIRST SLAUGHTER

A war god lunged from his throne, spear blazing.

Delta didn't look.

The spear disintegrated mid-air.

Delta appeared in front of the god, hand closing around his throat.

"Name?" Delta asked.

The god choked. "Va—Valgor—"

Delta snapped his neck.

Threw the body aside.

Screams erupted.

The tribunal shattered into chaos.

Some gods fled.

Some attacked.

Most froze.

Delta moved like death given purpose.

A slash erased a throne — god and all.

A backhand caved in a deity's skull.

A kick sent another screaming into the Anvil of Law, which cracked down the middle.

Reality screamed.

THE GOD OF LAW FALLS

Aurelios roared, growing in size, armor forming from glowing runes.

"You cannot exist without LAW!"

Delta looked almost… disappointed.

"I existed before you noticed me."

He vanished.

Reappeared behind Aurelios.

Death Render.

The slash didn't cut flesh.

It cut authority.

Aurelios' runes unraveled. His armor crumbled. His scream echoed across Heaven as his divine core split apart like glass.

The Anvil shattered.

Law collapsed.

THE DECLARATION

The surviving gods retreated, panicked, terrified.

Delta stood amid the ruins, divine blood dripping from his blade.

He looked up at the assembly.

His voice carried into every pantheon.

"Listen carefully."

The heavens darkened.

"I'm done being summoned."

"I'm done being commanded."

"I'm done protecting you from the consequences of your own cruelty."

He pointed the blade outward.

"From this moment forward—any god who hunts me…"

He smiled, cold and sharp.

"…dies."

Silence.

Then fear.

THE NIGHT GODDESS ARRIVES

A ripple passed through the ruined hall.

The air turned cool.

Stars appeared where there should've been sky.

Noctis stepped through, her colossal form partially manifested, eyes glowing softly.

She looked at the devastation.

Then at Delta.

Then she sighed.

"…You really did it."

Delta didn't look at her.

"They forced my hand."

Noctis floated closer, her voice gentle.

"No," she corrected softly.

"They revealed the truth."

She placed two fingers beneath his chin, lifting his face just enough to meet her eyes.

"And now," she whispered, smiling faintly,

"the universe will bleed for it."

AFTERMATH

Far below, Hades felt it.

The death of Law.

The breaking of order.

He leaned forward on his throne, breath heavy.

…It's begun.

Hell roared in approval.

The Void trembled.

And somewhere beyond everything —

something ancient smiled.

Because the God Killer was no longer running.

He was hunting.
