Minho supported his head and began to move. His long body undulated forward, quickly flattening a large stretch of green grass in front of him.
As he crawled, a soft rustling sound filled her ears.
It took Hayoon a long while to regain her senses. She took slow, steady breaths.
She was actually sitting on a giant snake.
To be honest, after overcoming the fear, it did not feel bad at all.
Minho moved very fast, yet the sound was not loud, blending almost perfectly with the rustling grass.
And sitting on his head, there was not the slightest bumpiness.
His head was so large and lifted so steadily that Hayoon whose sitting cross-legged felt like she was on the roof of a moving car.
There was even plenty of space left. She probably could have lain down and slept there.
And if he could move this fast while already this large, how terrifying would his speed be if he fully flattened his body and slithered low to the ground?
Hayoon marveled silently as her body gradually relaxed.
Then she suddenly thought of something.
Normally, beastmen were only allowed to carry their mates and children on their backs.
Minho was a single beastman. Was it really appropriate for him to carry her like this?
But she had already climbed up in a daze, and it felt too awkward to bring it up now.
She could only blame herself for being new to this beast world and not knowing the customs well enough.
Minho was a warrior of the Ur-Shet Tribe.
His senses were extremely sharp, not only hearing and smell, but overall perception as well.
He had clearly noticed the change in Hayoon, from tense to gradually relaxed.
He blinked his red eyes slightly.
So she was not afraid of him anymore?
The white giant snake traveled quickly. Before long, they arrived at the tribe's altar clearing.
From a distance, Hayoon could already see beastmen and sub-beastmen gathered in small groups, chatting.
Most of them had already changed from beast-hide skirts into newly made hemp clothing.
Farther away, other beastmen were arriving while carrying their partners on their beast forms.
Minho stopped and turned his head slightly. "We're here."
Hayoon did not hesitate.
As soon as he lowered his head, she quickly slid down his body like a slide.
Her balance was only average in this body, so she staggered slightly upon landing, but managed to steady herself.
When she looked back, Minho had already returned to human form and was wearing his clothes again.
Hayoon forced a calm expression and said, "Thank you."
"No need," Minho replied lightly. "Go ahead. I'm leaving too."
"Mm, okay."
Hayoon watched his back disappear into the distance and thought to herself that maybe he really had just seen that her injury had healed and given her a ride on the way. She should not overthink it.
"Hayoon! Over here!"
A clear, pleasant female voice called out to her.
Hayoon looked over and saw the refined and gentle Sulyeon standing beside her mother Immo.
Sulyeon was smiling as she waved her arm at her.
"I'm coming!" Hayoon replied while striding over quickly with long steps.
"Haha, carrying such a big basket, looks like you're really motivated today," Sulyeon said with a bright smile.
She was only slightly older than Hayoon and had a more lively personality.
Hayoon scratched her head and did not deny it. "I was worried a small one would not be enough. Oh right, you two are already wearing the new clothes. This style looks good too."
Immo and Sulyeon were wearing knee-length robes.
The hemp color was slightly grayer than Hayoon's, giving them a more solid and strong appearance.
The difference was that they had trimmed the sleeves into mid-length five-point sleeves, which not only looked good and highlighted their figures, but also made movement more convenient.
In addition, the stitching on their clothes was neat and even, far better than anything she could sew.
Well, she had not met a single sub-beastman on the way here whose sewing skills were worse than hers…
Hayoon herself wore long sleeves and long pants, along with grass-woven shoes.
She had tied the cuffs and pant legs tightly with hemp rope.
There was no helping it.
In this beast world, insects were far larger than in her previous world, and she really did not want them crawling inside her clothes.
Oh right, one of the things she was most satisfied with in this world was that there were no mosquitoes.
There were large moths, but they did not suck blood.
They were just ugly enough to make you want to swat them.
She truly hated mosquitoes. She was deeply grateful to this beast world and the Beast God for eliminating them.
Immo and Sulyeon exchanged a smile.
"Yes," Immo said. "Thanks to the method you taught everyone, we were able to finish weaving cloth very quickly. Now every family has clothes to wear."
Sulyeon, however, was curiously staring at Hayoon's pants. "What is this? I've never seen it before."
Hayoon explained, "This is called pants. They're more convenient than skirts when working."
As she spoke, she casually lifted her leg slightly and pulled up the hem of her robe, revealing the waistband.
"I sewed a strip of beast sinew here. Once tied, it won't slip off."
Sulyeon's eyes lit up immediately. She leaned closer and praised, "It really is convenient!"
She turned to Immo for approval. "Mom, we still have some cloth left from weaving, right? When we get back today, let's make pants too! They look much better than skirts!"
Immo had no objections. "Alright."
As they spoke, more and more sub-beastmen gathered nearby, clearly listening in.
They also looked at Hayoon's pants with curious and envious eyes.
"I'm going to make a pair when I get back too! And a short robe so the pants show!"
"If we wear pants, maybe we don't even need robes anymore. We used to just wear beast-hide skirts in summer anyway."
