Chapter 26 - The First Outfit

When sneaking out hunting, he claimed he was practically an adult already, but now suddenly he remembered he was still a child?

"No! Come into the cave with me."

Hayoon's ears turned red from embarrassment as she grabbed Haeun's hand and hurried into the cave with him.

With her help, Haeun happily changed into his new clothes as well.

Because Hayoon had been inexperienced, she made her own outfit first and Haeun's second.

As a result, the stitching and tailoring on his robe were even better than hers.

The young boy with panda ears and a panda tail was so happy he could barely contain himself as he dashed back outside.

As he wave his arms excitedly, he chattered nonstop to Hayoon about how it felt wearing the clothes.

"Sis! This hemp robe feels so smooth and cool! It's super comfortable! It's just so light that it almost feels like I'm not wearing clothes at all. But that's okay. We don't wear clothes when we're in beast form anyway!"

Hayoon said helplessly, "...You'll get used to it after wearing it for a while."

Haeun bounced around excitedly a few more times. "Look, even when I move like this, the clothes don't slip off at all! They're way better than beast hide! Sis, I love these clothes so much! Can I go show them off to my friends in the tribe?"

Already planning to show off?

Hayoon could not help laughing.

"It's already late. They might already be asleep. Go tomorrow morning instead. I still want to finish hemming the clothes first."

Haeun sighed dramatically in disappointment. "Alright then. I'm going to look at myself in the water basin!"

If he were not worried about the rain soaking his new clothes, he probably would have run straight to the stream to admire himself there.

As Haeun ran off, his short little panda tail twitched beneath his robe.

Hayoon shake her head and finally looked toward Minho.

The moment she did, the redness that had only just faded from her ears immediately returned.

The robe she made for Minho had ended up slightly too small...

More specifically, it was too tight around the chest.

The man's muscles were perfectly proportioned, lean yet powerful with flawless lines, but his chest was unexpectedly broad.

The overlapping front of the robe could not fully cover his chest muscles, turning the originally proper collar into a deep V-neck that exposed a wild and powerful chest.

The sleeves were slightly short too, becoming something like three-quarter sleeves.

Fortunately, the overall length of the robe was long enough to mostly cover his strong thighs.

The simple robe somehow looked exceptionally stylish on him.

The pale silver fabric complemented his silver hair perfectly, adding even more to his natural and untamed aura.

He was seriously too handsome.

Hayoon even felt a subtle sense of pride thinking, I really am amazing at designing clothes.

Minho stood there with his long arms hanging naturally at his sides.

Despite his tall height, he stood perfectly straight without the slightest hunch, his posture upright and imposing.

His deep, narrow red eyes remained fixed on Hayoon as he asked, "Does it look alright?"

Hayoon nodded firmly. "Mm! I think it looks great! What about you?"

A faint curve appeared on Minho's thin lips, and traces of amusement spread into his eyes. "I think it looks very good too. Thank you."

Hayoon said awkwardly, "You don't have to be so polite all the time. Besides, if you hadn't helped these past few days, Haeun and I never would have finished weaving all this cloth."

The two of them smiled at each other.

The approval from Minho and Haeun made Hayoon feel even more certain that all the time spent weaving had been worth it.

After trying on the clothes, Hayoon was so sleepy her eyelids could barely stay open.

She simply rinsed off quickly before preparing to sleep.

Just like her, because everyone only had one set of clothes right now, nobody was willing to wear them while sleeping.

Before bed, they all stored their new clothes inside their storage spaces and changed back into beast-hide skirts.

Because she was in such a good mood, Hayoon accidentally slept in a little the next morning.

After putting on her clothes and walking out of the cave, she realized the sun had already risen.

"Oh no, I haven't made breakfast yet!"

As she stepped outside the cave, she instinctively raised a hand to shield her eyes before suddenly letting out a surprised sound.

"The rain stopped?"

The constant rain over the past several days had nearly made her feel moldy, so seeing the sunlight now felt unbelievably pleasant.

"Sis!"

Haeun, still wrapped in his beast-hide skirt, walked over from the nearby forest carrying a bundle of firewood.

"Why are you the only one here? Where's Minho?" Hayoon asked.

"Brother Minho said the weather would clear up occasionally these next few days, so the tribe organized a hunting party. He left early this morning!"

Hayoon froze for a moment. "Then breakfast..."

"Haha, Brother Minho and I made it together. We steamed kudzu root and roasted some meat, but it definitely doesn't taste as good as your cooking."

Hayoon was not picky. Having food to eat at all was already good enough.

And she noticed that before roasting the meat, the two of them had actually marinated it with salt and Tangroot, so it probably tasted better than plain roasted meat.

"What about the new clothes I made for you? Why aren't you wearing them?" Hayoon asked.

Haeun set down the firewood and scratched his head before answering, "I was worried they'd get dirty or damaged while I worked, so I thought I'd wait until I had free time before wearing them."

Hearing that made Hayoon feel a little sad.

It was only a simple hemp robe, yet he treasured it this much.

But then again, wasn't she the same?

Back before transmigrating, she had seen classmates casually throw away or donate clothes they no longer liked without feeling even the slightest bit reluctant.
